Archive for Amber Allure
Monday again…
I had to take my dads to the airport, so I didn’t have time to post anything until right now. 🙂 Here is the awesome cover for the 5th Fallen book, New York. By far my favorite of the series (at the moment. I’m sure I’ll change my mind as each of the others are completed…lol) It’s scheduled for a January release. Yay!
Also, A Sticky Wicket in Bollywood received an Honorable Mention in the Rainbow Awards contest. Which is marvelous news. We’ll find out the winners tomorrow, I believe.
I’m working on Blindsided, and we’ve made a good start on it. Also, Remove the Space is being worked on and a Christmas story too (that might have to wait until next year to be released…lol It’s a little late to be turning in Christmas stories for this year.) As soon as those are done, I have a couple to finish up for Amber Allure, and my next Fallen book to do.
So I’ll be busy, and during the week of GRL, I might not have much time to write, which is fine. 🙂 I’ll try to make sure I at least get the two installments for Finding Peace done before I leave.
Okay…I have to get writing now. I hope you all have a great Monday.
Manic Monday…
Well, the weekend went by quickly, but I managed to get a good amount of work done on New York. Hoping to finish it today, so I might not get the Tuesday installment of Finding Peace done. You might have it on Wednesday instead. But you will get two installments this week, I promise. 🙂
I have to admit these last two months have been hard for me writing wise. For some reason, I just didn’t have any interest in working on anything. Oh, I’d do a little here and a little there, but nothing sustained. I’m hoping whatever hit me has left and I can get back on track with deadlines and other things. 🙂 Because there are a few books I’d like to write that don’t have deadlines, but that need to be written…like Rover’s book for the Preternatural series. And some other short stories for MLR Press that I have started but just haven’t been able to finish.
Well, here’s hoping that this Monday is the start of better things from now on..lol Have a great day.
Wednesday’s Work in Progress…
First off, if you’re interested, I posted a snippet of the Tiffany book I’m working on over at my Tiffany blog. 🙂 Check it out here.
Second of all, this snippet I’m posting for you is from a story titled A Thin Line Between Love and Hate. It’s for a specific submission call from Amber Allure. When you see the cover for the story, you’ll understand the title better. 🙂 To be honest, I can’t wait to get the story written, just to be able to show the cover to everyone…lol. It’s going to be amazing. Plus I think I might see if I can’t get Kissed by the Gods and this story combined in one print book.
Anyway, I hope you all have a great Wednesday…and remember tomorrow is the last installment for Hearts. Then I’ll pull it down….add more to it and send it to Amber Allure. Hopefully for release later this year.
Here’s the excerpt:
A Thin Line Between Love and Hate copyright 2013 T.A. Chase
“We used to be friends,” Pauly whined.
Si nodded, but didn’t move away from where he stood next to the front door. It was the only exit out of the apartment, and Si wasn’t willing to lose that feeling of freedom. He needed to get his stuff and get out because the heroin was calling to him. He knew Pauly would have a bag or two hidden somewhere in the place.
His hands shook as want tore through him. Christ!  It’d been thirteen months since his last hit, yet the addiction clawed at his stomach and soul, demanding to be fed. An addict might go through rehab and get the drugs out of his system, but the craving was always there under the surface.
“How come we ain’t friends no more?” Pauly asked, his yellow-tinged gaze almost eating into Si’s resolve.
“I don’t shoot up any more, Pauly. Can’t stay clean while hanging out with the people who hooked me in the first place.”
The rehab place hadn’t taught him that. An ex-junkie who befriended him at NA-Narcotics Anonymous- had warned Si about the pitfalls of old friendships.
Pauly grunted as he staggered to his feet. Si dodged his grasping hand, knowing if Pauly touched him, he’d be sucked back into the love/hate relationship he had with H. Si snorted softly. Hell! All of his relationships were love/hate, even the one he had with himself.
Before Pauly could corner him, three women walked into the apartment. Jambrea, Lila, and Angela took in the scene.
“We got worried,” Jambrea informed him. “Do you need help?”
More than you’ll ever know. He simply nodded, then said, “Keep an eye on Pauly while I get my stuff.”
Pauly looked confused. “What stuff? I sold all your shit.”
“I figured, but I hid the important things before I went to jail.”
Lila glared at Pauly. “Don’t worry. We’ve got this.”
Knowing the girls could take care of themselves, Si headed toward the room that used to be his in that shithole apartment. He’d created a hiding place in the ceiling of his closet. It was where he’d stashed the only two things it would’ve hurt to lose. After prying the tile out, he slid his hand into the hole, praying no one had found it. He breathed easier when his hand encountered a piece of fabric.
Si pulled the items from the ceiling, then without looking at it, he left. He gathered the ladies with a glance, and they walked out of the apartment. He didn’t look back, not even when Pauly called his name. Pauly and that apartment were things of the past.
“You can’t get clean if you’re always looking back,” Kip, the ex-junkie, had told him.
Si remembered the night Kip had told him that. Need for H had been riding him hard, and when Kip had called to ask him to meet for coffee, Si had jumped at the chance. By the time the sun rose, and it was time to go their separate ways, Kip had talked Si down. Si had gotten the desire to shoot up under control.
That night had been the last time Si had seen Kip. The next day he was gone, and Si worried that Kip had fallen back into the same old habits and crowds that had strung Kip out, and nearly destroyed him in the process.
Monday…Monday….
Great news! Always Ready is done and submitted. Now just comes the waiting part to see if they want it for their anthology or not. If not, I’ll either publish it with them as a stand-alone or see about sending it somewhere else. 🙂 I’m not worried about it. My guys will find a home somewhere…lol
So my M/F pen name has a website now. www.tiffanyaaron.com Please stop by and check it out, even if you don’t read M/F stories any more. 🙂  I plan on posting on that blog Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I don’t have time to post there any more than that…lol. Posting every weekday here, and trying to write takes up a lot of time.
Now I have to start on Fallen: New York, my 5th book in the Fallen series. It’s M/F….so if you want to know more about it, you can stop by Tiffany’s site. But I need to have it done by August 1st, so I’ll be writing like crazy on that. But I’ll also be working on Blindsided, the 4th book in the International Sports series, and Remove the Space Between Us (whose title will probably be shortened when I sub it…lol), the 1st book in my Rags to Riches series. That one is almost halfway done and needs to be turned in by Sept 1st.
I have books scheduled out through December of 2014 with Total e-Bound. Alternating TA and Tiffany books, but I’m sure there’ll be other stories snuck in around the main ones. Plus I’ll have books coming out at MLR Press and Amber Allure when I can. 🙂
I think I’m going to be wrapping Hearts on the Line up this week. Then I’ll work on adding more to it before I submit it to Amber Allure. Hearts is long enough, it’ll be released in print as well so that’s a bonus. I decided I’ll do that since it’s already been out in installments here. If I get a chance to write another serial for Total E-bound, it’ll be new and not something I’ve posted on my blog before.
Well, I have a lot of stuff to do, so I have to get cracking. Hope you all have a marvelous Monday.
Already the second week in July…
I can’t believe we’re already into the second week of July. Where the heck did the first week go? I was crazy busy the last four days, but now I really have to buckle down and get some writing done. Too many stories and not enough time…lol
Still finishing up edits on New Orleans for my Tiffany Aaron pen name. Working on finishing up Always Ready and Blindsided. Also, have to start working on New York, the 5th Fallen book. 🙂 Once all those are done, I can start other stories. And yes, I do plan on continuing the Preternatural series. Rover’s story is on my list to be worked on hopefully in August. 🙂 Then I have three shorter stories planned for that series as well.
I should probably get to working. I hope you all have a marvelous Monday.
The Whore of New Slum is available now…
The Whore of New Slum is available now at Amber Allure. Click here to check it out. It’s my first attempt at Steampunk, so I’m not sure how will I achieved it, but I liked the story. 🙂 Remember if you buy all five books in the PAX, you’ll get them for a discount. And there are some really good books in the PAX.
I’ll be writing all day again…lol. When am I not writing? But it’s something I love to do, so I can’t complain.
I hope you all had a great weekend and have a wonderful Monday. 🙂
