Happy Weekend…

Thought I’d share this with you because I like Christopher Lee…and after reading this, I think he’s even more awesome…lol. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare? 🙂

I’m going to be doing a lot of writing over the weekend. Need to finish Chasing the King of the Mountains, and get some other stories closer to being done. 🙂

Also, Threadbare Gypsy Souls comes out on Sunday, so don’t forget to pick up your copy. And remember Amber Allure always gives you a first week discount on the new books.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Congrats…

to the Detroit Red Wings for winning the Stanley Cup. It literally came down to the last second of the game, but they did it. Nick Lindstrom becomes the first European captain to win the Cup.

Congratulations to Henrik Zetterberg for winning the Conn Smythe Trophy for Most Valuable Player in the playoffs.

I’m thrilled for them, but depressed. No hockey until October or so. Hmm….what should I do while I wait until the sport starts up again? Anyone have suggestions? 😉

Have a great Friday, everyone.

Heath Ledger…Rest in Peace

Another bright talented star lost. It doesn’t matter how or why. Simply that he’s gone.

Pimping Books

Today, I’m pimping banned books. 🙂 Like the Bible and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. For a list of banned books, stop by here and check them out. It says it’s a complete list but I can’t swear it is.

This week has been Banned Book Week. I admit I haven’t read most of the books on the list, but that’s simply because they don’t interest me that much. lol. Not because I find them offensive or full of lies.

The way I see it, any book should be available to anyone to read if they want too. If they think the topic or words in the book are offensive or subversive, than they can simply chose not to read them, but not take away anyone else’s right to read it. It’s purely a First Amendment right to freedom of speech. (imo)

I know there are people out there who think my books are terrible and promote perversions. That’s fine. They’re entitled to their opinions, the same as I am. I’ll keep writing them because of all the people out there who enjoy my stories and the men I create. 🙂

Hope you have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Back….

Sorry, everyone. Had an emergency and ended up having to go out of town for a couple days. Without my laptop or anything…lol.
Don’t worry. Everything is fine and I’m back. So to make up for not being able to post the next installments of The Vanguard, I’ll be posting three installments this week. 🙂
Please accept my apologies and a flower or two from my man here.

Wednesday’s Words….

Sonnet XLI

I thank all who have loved me in their hearts,
With thanks and love from mine. Deep thanks to all
Who paused a little near the prison-wall
To hear my music in its louder parts
Ere they went onward, each one to the mart’s
Or temple’s occupation, beyond call.
But thou, who, in my voice’s sink and fall
When the sob took it, thy divinest Art’s
Own instrument didst drop down at thy foot
To hearken what I said between my tears, . . .
Instruct me how to thank thee ! Oh, to shoot
My soul’s full meaning into future years,
That they should lend it utterance, and salute
Love that endures, from Life that disappears !

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

****Keep all the families of the victims at Virginia Tech and also the family of the gunman in our prayers*****

Writing has been going well. The curve Stakel threw me two days ago has been incorporated into the story. I hope it makes it better. 🙂

Have a good day, everyone.

Wednesday’s Words

How Do I Love Thee?

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height

My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight

For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.

I love thee to the level of every day’s

Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.

I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;

I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.

I love with a passion put to use

In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.

I love thee with a love I seemed to lose

With my lost saints, I love thee with the breath,

Smiles, tears, of all my life! and, if God choose,

I shall but love thee better after death.

-Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Hope you have a great day.

Wednesday Wondering

When I’m in bed at night or in the morning, I can’t let any part of my body hang over the edge of the mattress…like my hand or foot. Part of the reason is they get cold..lol. The other must be some subconscious thing about monsters under the bed grabbing my hand and pulling me under. *shrug* That’s the only thing I can think of to explain why I can’t do it.
Can any of you let your feet or hands hang over the edge of your bed?
Have a great Wednesday.

Question to Ponder…

Aliens have landed on earth. They meet a human and a dolphin. The aliens know that the earth is 78% water, who would they assume the planet was made for? 🙂

Had a good weekend. The website is almost ready to be launched. C ended up making some changes to it and tweaking it a little more last night. We’ll finish it up when we get home from work and then hopefully it’ll be up sometime later tonight. Woo-Hoo!

Got some more writing done. Not sure how much it’ll end up being since I didn’t actually type it in. 🙂

Well, I’ve got to get to work. Take care and have a good Monday.
