Archive for Death or Life

Death or Life available…

I know I said there would be another blog story post today, but the day sped by and I didn’t get it done. Sorry. πŸ™ I’ve been terrible at this lately. I’ll post one on Monday for you all. πŸ™‚

Also just a reminder, Death or Life is available at MLR Press if you don’t already have it. Click here to check it out. If you haven’t read it already, I hope you consider picking it up. I love the new cover. πŸ˜€

Have a great weekend and there will be three story posts next week. Along with some news..hopefully.

Another week….

Obviously it’s another kind of week where I was busy at the beginning, but it’s slowly down again. So there will be posts for the blog story on Thursday and Friday.

I do have a release on Friday-Death or Life-which is a re-release of an early book (like out in 2006 or so) but it hasn’t been available for a couple years now. MLR Press is re-releasing it for me. πŸ™‚ New cover, but the story is the same. I didn’t add anything to it. So if you’ve already read it, you don’t have to pick it up. (Unless you want the new cover) πŸ˜‰

Have a great day.

2016…here we come

Wow…2016 already. Crazy. lol But it’s time to start again. Unfortunately, I got bad news about Amber Quill closing and it’s going to be a little hectic as I try to place thirty-seven books. Luckily, I do have some other great publishers who would might be interested in them. πŸ™‚

Good news though. I finally decided to do something with Death or Life. I know it’s been years since it’s been out, but I just couldn’t figure out what to do with it. I’m subbing it to MLR Press and maybe I’ll get around to writing Mars and Lord’s story when Death or Life comes out. πŸ™‚

Also, I wanted to let you all know that Peace is up for pre-order now at Pride Publishing. It’s Lam’s story. I know it’s a little odd to have five books in a series about the Four Horsemen. lol Math never was my thing. I hope you’re excited to read about his love story with Lucifer Daystar.

And for those of you who are VIPs at Total e-Bound, A Sticky Wicket in Bollywood is available for pre-release download. It’s also on sale, but remember you do have to be a VIP with them. I think it’s really easy to become one, not sure how though. You can check on their website, but if you just want to check out Β the blurb for Sticky Wicket, then click here.

Devon and I should be turning in Chasing the King of the Mountains within the next couple of days…and I believe it goes on pre-order sometime in May. Yikes! Β lol. Then we’ll be working on a story about two soccer players in Germany. πŸ™‚ I’m also still working on my 1920s historical, my Coast Guard/crab fisherman story, and a couple of other stories as well.

I’ll be doing some edits for Ghost of a Chance, so that MLR Press can re-release it soon. πŸ™‚

Oh Jasmine asked about Death or Life not being listed anywhere. I took my rights back for the story from Liquid Silver Books. I haven’t got a chance to sub it anywhere else yet, though I do plan on doing so soon. I also do plan on writing Mars and Lord’s story. I have some all ready written on that one. The part with that is there are some scenes that take place during Death or Life that will be in Mars’ Assassin, just from Lord’s point-of-view, so I have to re-work those scenes without going overboard by using too much of what has all ready been written. I don’t think readers want a rehash of scenes they’ve read before. But yes, Death or Life will be available again, and I do have Mars’ Assassin on my master list of stories to finish up. πŸ™‚

I hope you all have a great Monday. I have a very busy day ahead of me, so I better get moving.

Happy Hunk Day

There’s just something about this guy’s eyes and smile that I love. I had to post it. You can find the rest of the series at Beautiful Magazine. They have some awesome eye candy photos, but most of them aren’t safe for work. Just keep that in mind if you visit…lol.

I just got the news yesterday that Tramps, the second in The Beasor Chronicles, has been moved up to be released August 20th. Which means I need to get cracking and finish it up. The reason it’s being moved up is because Total e-Bound is re-releasing The Vanguard in September. Woo-hoo! I’m really excited about the whole thing because starting in July, I’ll have at least one book a month coming out from TeB, and in July, August, and Dec. I’ll have two books each of those months coming out. We’ve done our best to try and alternate new books with re-releases. So you’ll be getting something new from me every other month, plus all your old favorites with new covers.

I also just saw the cover for From Slavery to Freedom, and as soon as I get the okay, I’ll share it with you. I’m pretty sure we’ll be putting Slavery and Out of Light into Darkness together in a print book, which would be great. πŸ™‚

I still have some other older books whose rights I’ve gotten back, and have to work out who they’re going to. As you might have noticed, you can no longer get Fighting Dragons, Ghost of a Chance, and Dreaming of Dragons from Loose-Id. I’m pretty sure I have a new publisher for them, so as soon as I can, I’ll let you know when those will be available again. Also, I still have to see about finding a home for Death or Life and Not Seeing is Believing. The reason those two don’t have a place yet is simply because I haven’t had the time to re-format them to the right template. As soon as I get a moment to do that, I’ll send them in, and let you know about them as well. πŸ˜‰

I have final edits to do on Pursing Hope and Angel’s Evoultion. Those will be done today, I’m hoping…along with other things I’ve been neglecting. Most of which are forms I have to fill out…lol. I did let you all know Angel is being re-released by MLR Press, right?

Someone asked about Rover’s story, and I’m hoping I can get to it later this year. I have a few other stories I’ve promised first to different publishers, but as soon as those are done, I’ll be getting to his story. πŸ™‚

Well, I think that’s all I have to say at the moment. I hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Last Monday in February

Since it’s so close to the end of the month, I thought I’d let you all know what my news is. If you’ve gone to ARe, or really any of the 3rd party sellers-or to Liquid Silver Books website to look for any of my books published by them, you won’t find them. After four great years being published with them and working with them, I decided to take the rights back to all my books. The only two left with LSB at the moment are Where the Devil Dances, and Two for One. Because both of those are published with other authors, I had to wait the full 90 days before I could get those back. Which is fine with me.

Again, I want to emphasize that my decision had nothing to do with Liquid Silver Books. They’re great people, and I loved working with them. I just decided it was time to move my books somewhere else. The purpose behind it is to consolidate my publishers and make it a little less of a search for you, the readers, to find my books. If I have them at three or four publishers instead of six or seven, it’d be quicker…lol.

And the good news is Total e-Bound has decided to pick up the Home series and Stealing Life so far. The other books are under review with them. πŸ™‚ Β So at the moment, I have release dates for them, barring any unforeseen problem. Β No Going Home will be re-released Oct. 15th, Home of His Own-Dec. 31st. Wishing for a Home-Jan 28th. Β Also, I have release dates for the last two books in the series, Leaving Home will be out Feb. 25th and Home Sweet Home will be out March 25th. Stealing Life will be out April 22nd. The other news is all of the Home books will be released in print as well. I added more to Wishing to get it up to the right word count for print. So that’s awesome news.

Now I know you’re all probably grumbling about having to wait until next year for the last two books in the series, but at least you have actual dates to mark on your calendar to look forward to. πŸ™‚ There are six more LSB books that TeB will be taking a look at to see if they want them or not. If not, I do have other options to publishing them, so they will be re-released at some point.

I did a pre-release schedule from Total e-Bound that goes through April of 2013. That makes me happy, and it’s a schedule I can keep without pulling my hair out…lol. I finished From Slavery to Freedom on Friday, and sent it off to my beta reader. Once she’s done, and tells me everything I need to fix, I’ll get it in to my editor at TeB. FStF is scheduled to be released on July 31st. Woot! I’m working on The Deepest Cut at the moment, trying to get it finished as well. We’ll see how far I can get on that before I have to start the second book in The Beasor Chronicles trilogy.

There are plans to take back some other books back from another publisher of mine, but until it actually happens, I’m keeping as silent as I can about that. πŸ™‚ Again, I’m taking my rights back for no other reason than it’s time to move on. It’s been fun working with all my different publishers. Simply time to gather my little ducklings into fewer baskets.

I hope you all have a great day.

Another Friday

I’m more than halfway done with Under My Bed, but I don’t think it’ll be finished by the 1st, which is all right. That was just a self-imposed deadline. It really doesn’t have to be turned in until June 1st. I wanted to have a head start on my next story. πŸ™‚

Oh, someone asked about a sequel to Death or Life. Yes, I do plan on writing one. I have it about a third of the way finished actually and it’s on my schedule to be written. Just not as soon as everyone would like probably…lol. But it’s there and whose to say? Maybe I’ll get inspired and start working on it.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. I’ll catch you on Monday.

No more Snow…

Okay…all this white stuff can just go away at any point now. I’m tired of winter. Let’s just rush right on into spring, please. πŸ™‚

Writing went well this weekend. I finished up one story and sent it to my editor. Now on to JT’s story, Bound by Trust. Plus I did a little work on Mars Assassin, which is the sequel to Death or Life. Okay, so it’s not necessarily a sequel. We get to find out how Lord and Mars met, and sort of see how the events that happen in Death or Life unfold from their point of view. I hope you all enjoy it when I get it finished because Lord is going to be a little hard to like. πŸ˜‰

I hope you all have a great day. Stay safe and warm.

It just so happens that I only had two releases at Liquid Silver last year and both are in the top three on the list. Yay! Also, With This Ring is still hanging around on Samhain’s best seller list at #4. It got to #3 before falling, but still that’s awesome. πŸ™‚

Oh and aren’t those boys so pretty? lol

I hope you all have a great Wednesday. I know I will.

Foggy Wednesday

I feel like I’m in the middle of the movie, The Mist. Giant bugs will be coming out of the fog any minute now…lol. Isn’t this picture just hot? If I wasn’t at work, I’d probably make this my wallpaper on my laptop. πŸ˜€

I’m working on the stories I mentioned on Monday, but it seems lately whenever I go to bed, I get scenes for Mars’ Assassin, the sequel to Death or Life. I’ll be lying there, then I’ll hear either Mars or Lord talking…well, actually I’ll see Mars talking and hearing Lord. It’s extremely difficult for Mars to talk as I’m sure most of you remember. Good thing Lord’s an expert lip reader. πŸ™‚ Last night, it happened again, so out of bed I climbed to write down the short scene I received. At this rate, I’ll lose sleep, but get MA done before I planned…lol. I guess it’s a good trade-off. What’s the saying “I can always sleep when I’m dead”? lol

I hope you all have a great Hump Day. It’s all downhill from here. πŸ™‚
