Archive for Home of His Own

Good news….

For those of you who have been wishing and begging for Edward Monterrrose to get his own story….well, the wait is over. Actually that’s not entirely true…lol

I turned in Fall into My Kiss, which is Book One of the Merging Violently series. Merging Violently is an alternative rock band. The lead guitarist meets Edward and they fall in love. πŸ™‚

Now, I do believe the pre-order is in March, so you will have to wait a little while longer, but I promise you his story is done and just have to be edited. πŸ™‚ Once I get a cover and a blurb, I’ll post it here for you.

I’m working on a new story, which I think I shared a snippet of already titled A Coal Miner’s Son. Once that’s done, I’ll be starting Book Two of MV, featuring Lonnie, the lead singer and Cody, Tony’s friend from Home of his Own. Also, Devon and I are starting the 9th book in the Sports series, so hopefully there will be good news on that front soon as well.

Hope you all have a marvelous Monday.

Happy Thursday…

I’m so happy you’ve chimed in on what you’d like to see next on the blog. πŸ™‚ Β I’m going to take the weekend and think about them all. By Tuesday, I should have made a decision and written up a little blurb and picked out pics for the guys. I’ll be honest and say that I’m leaning towards either Job’s story from Bitter Creek or maybe a story set in Angel’s world. I haven’t written a historical in a long time and I think that’s what I’m interested in. Since lately I’ve been doing a lot of contemporaries.

And for those of you who have asked for stories set in the Home world to see how the guys are doing. Don’t worry. I have a spin-off series coming out next year. It’s titled Merging Violently, which is the name of the band in this series. It’ll featuring Merging Violently, an up-and-coming rock band that Derek has signed to his new label. They’re at Derek and Max’s ranch to record their first album. There the members of the band meet Cody (Home of his Own), Edward (Wishing for a Home), Matt (Leaving Home) and Scout (Home Sweet Home). So you get to see these secondary characters get their own HEA, but also there will be camos from the guys from the Home books. I promise.

Well, I’m off to run errands then I’ll be home working on Barefoot Dancing. πŸ™‚ Have a great Thursday.

Home of His Own available now….

homeofhisown_800

Home of His Own is available now at Total e-Bound, if you didn’t pick it up the first time it was out. Click here to check it out. πŸ™‚ This will be available in print at some point in the near future as well.

1400x2100Dreaming_of_Dragons

Dreaming of Dragons was re-released by MLR Press on Friday. Just re-edited as well, but it will be available in print at some point. πŸ™‚ Yay! Click here to check it out.

Home Sweet Home was turned in on Thursday night. Yay! It’ll be out in May..and up for pre-order in the next couple of months. The Home series was the first series I ever started writing. Of course, it’s taken seven long years to get it done. I appreciate all of you sticking with me and bugging me every chance you got about Yancey and Juan. I hope you feel I did their story justice when you get to read it.

I’m working on my GRL anthology story, The Occasional Prostitute, and I’m hoping to get that done in the next couple of days. Then I’ll be working on the second book in the International Men of Sports series that I’m co-authoring with Devon Rhodes, which is titled Chasing the King of the Mountains. It’s about a French cyclist and a French reporter, and takes place during the Tour de France. As you can tell, we’re trying to feature sports that might not always get spotlighted in stories, and we wanted sports that are popular in a particular country. Cricket in India, Cycling in France, Soccer/Football in Germany, Rugby in Australia, Curling and Hockey in Canada, and Beach Volleyball in Brazil.

Also, I’ll be working on Thieves, the last book in The Beasor Chronicles, and at some point next week, I’ll be starting Pray for the Thunder, a short story for MLR Press. πŸ™‚ So while it looks like I have a bunch of stuff to do (and I do), I think I have it under control.

Of course, I’ll have edits mixed in there…lol. I actually have edits on Stealing Life, which will be re-released by Total e-Bound on July 1st, and within the next day or two, I’ll have edits for Home Sweet Home. But edits are okay. They don’t take nearly as long as writing the books themselves. (usually)

Okay, so I hope you all have a good Monday. Those who were hardest hit by the snowstorm, I hope you’re all safe and sound. Digging out is crappy.

Monday again…

Check out what I saw from my kitchen in my backyard….not really. And not that any of you really thought there’d be penguins in my backyard. Though that would have been totally awesome…lol. It did snow last night though, and I’m not very happy about it. I’m hoping the roads are good, so I can go up and visit my mom today. Didn’t get up there yesterday because I had a headache.

Okay…to update you on my writing. Home Sweet Home is going well. Not as far along as I’d like, but still I’m sure I can get it done by the end of the month. πŸ™‚ The Occasional Prostitute (my contribution to the 2013 GRL antho) is coming along as well.

Also, Devon Rhodes and I have started our book. We’re writing a series of six stories about men and international sports. So the sports aren’t going to be your usual basketball, baseball, or anything like that. A Sticky Wicket in Bollywood is the first in the series, and it’s about cricket and is set in India. Hopefully when it comes out, you’ll all love it. πŸ™‚

Plus Ninja Cupcakes is out for general release at Total e-Bound, and Home of his Own is up for VIP download. If anyone is interested in them, or for some reason, doesn’t have them yet. Wishing for a Home has hit the coming soon page at TeB and No Going Home is available in print starting today.

Oh…and my marvelous editor at MLR Press, Kris Jacen, has an interview at Top2Bottom Review. Please take a minute to stop by and read it. She talks about how busy an editor’s life really is. In my opinion, editors have the tough job out there. At times, I think writing is hard, but really I’m just putting Β down on ‘paper’ the daydreams in my head. Kris has to make sure those daydreams make sense. πŸ™‚

Almost forgot the link. Click here.

Well, I have a lot of work to do…and not enough hours in the day to do it. I hope you all have an awesome Monday.

The Vanguard is available…

Now that my brain is functionally close to normal…lol. I can let you know that The Vanguard has been re-released by Total e-Bound today. With a great new cover (not that I didn’t love and adore the cover Anne Cain did for me for the original release) and more editing, it’s a fresh start for the boys. πŸ™‚ Β Don’t worry though, I didn’t add anything new to it, so if you already have the first version, don’t feel pressured to buy this one. Β The great news is it’ll be out in print as well. I think in December or January, so that’s awesome. πŸ™‚

If you’d like to check it out, click here and it’ll take you to its page at Total e-Bound. πŸ™‚

I have edits to do on Home of His Own and a final galley to look over for Here Be Dragons. Also, I have to do the next installment for the blog story. I’ll be busy the rest of the day. Β And hopefully, my late night won’t catch up with me.

Have a great Monday, everyone.

Wednesday Hunk

Not much to talk about. Have edits to do for Home of His Own and I think I’ll be getting edits for Here Be Dragons soon as well. Yay! πŸ™‚

I’ll be working on my steampunk story and the next installment of the blog story. Have some real life stuff to do as well. Hopefully I can get it all done today.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone.

New Cover…

Here’s the new cover for Home of His Own. I think it looks great…and I really can’t wait to see all of the Home books together in print. I think all five of them will look awesome. πŸ™‚ I’m hoping to have all five available to buy at GRL next year.

Well, I’m at GRL in New Mexico. Woot! It’s been great seeing everyone who has come in so far, and there are a bunch arriving in the next day or so that I can’t wait to see again. Yay!

I hope you all are having a great day.

The Subtlety of Understanding is out

The Subtlety of Understanding has been re-released by MLR Press today. It’s a combination of Understanding Forgiveness and Understanding the Past. Also, it’ll be out in print in two week or so. Yay!

Now that they are at a different publisher, I’m planning on writing more in the series. There were a few couples whose stories were left unresolved, so their stories will be added to my schedule. πŸ™‚

And for those who are wondering about the Home series, don’t worry. They will be re-released as well, starting in October of this year. And the last two Home books will be out in Feb. and Mar. of next year. The awesome news about that is all the Home books will be in print as well. πŸ™‚ Just so you know, there won’t be anything new in No Going Home. Home of his Own won’t have the little short story at the end, but it’ll be released as a free book later on. Wishing for a Home has been added to, so it’s now long enough to go into print.

I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Last Monday in February

Since it’s so close to the end of the month, I thought I’d let you all know what my news is. If you’ve gone to ARe, or really any of the 3rd party sellers-or to Liquid Silver Books website to look for any of my books published by them, you won’t find them. After four great years being published with them and working with them, I decided to take the rights back to all my books. The only two left with LSB at the moment are Where the Devil Dances, and Two for One. Because both of those are published with other authors, I had to wait the full 90 days before I could get those back. Which is fine with me.

Again, I want to emphasize that my decision had nothing to do with Liquid Silver Books. They’re great people, and I loved working with them. I just decided it was time to move my books somewhere else. The purpose behind it is to consolidate my publishers and make it a little less of a search for you, the readers, to find my books. If I have them at three or four publishers instead of six or seven, it’d be quicker…lol.

And the good news is Total e-Bound has decided to pick up the Home series and Stealing Life so far. The other books are under review with them. πŸ™‚ Β So at the moment, I have release dates for them, barring any unforeseen problem. Β No Going Home will be re-released Oct. 15th, Home of His Own-Dec. 31st. Wishing for a Home-Jan 28th. Β Also, I have release dates for the last two books in the series, Leaving Home will be out Feb. 25th and Home Sweet Home will be out March 25th. Stealing Life will be out April 22nd. The other news is all of the Home books will be released in print as well. I added more to Wishing to get it up to the right word count for print. So that’s awesome news.

Now I know you’re all probably grumbling about having to wait until next year for the last two books in the series, but at least you have actual dates to mark on your calendar to look forward to. πŸ™‚ There are six more LSB books that TeB will be taking a look at to see if they want them or not. If not, I do have other options to publishing them, so they will be re-released at some point.

I did a pre-release schedule from Total e-Bound that goes through April of 2013. That makes me happy, and it’s a schedule I can keep without pulling my hair out…lol. I finished From Slavery to Freedom on Friday, and sent it off to my beta reader. Once she’s done, and tells me everything I need to fix, I’ll get it in to my editor at TeB. FStF is scheduled to be released on July 31st. Woot! I’m working on The Deepest Cut at the moment, trying to get it finished as well. We’ll see how far I can get on that before I have to start the second book in The Beasor Chronicles trilogy.

There are plans to take back some other books back from another publisher of mine, but until it actually happens, I’m keeping as silent as I can about that. πŸ™‚ Again, I’m taking my rights back for no other reason than it’s time to move on. It’s been fun working with all my different publishers. Simply time to gather my little ducklings into fewer baskets.

I hope you all have a great day.

Wicked Wednesday

This is a quickie post. πŸ™‚ I have to head out for an all-day meeting, so I won’t be around. I wanted to make sure you got some kind of eye candy to start your day.

Oh, and for the person who asked about Home of His Own not being available on Amazon. I have it on good authority that it’s being worked on. The thing about Amazon is, no matter how fast the publisher is on making a book available to Amazon, Amazon itself takes as long as it wants to actually list it. But I did want you to know its being rectified. πŸ™‚

I hope you all have a great day.
