More Eye Candy….

channing-tatum_111612111932

I know you usually get a picture of Channing Tatum at least once or twice a week, but I thought I’d share this one. And really this is the best kind of candy because it won’t go right to your hips…lol.

Well, Parts 1-3 of For Every Dream that Shattered have been turned in with their cover art/blurb forms. I’ll be starting Part 4 today and hopefully by next Monday, I’ll be turning in the last two parts. I hope you all are looking forward to it because I like this story and it’s been fun to write.

Oh, I got a release date for Sharp Dressed Man. It’ll be coming out on June 7th from MLR Press as part of their Mixed Tape stories. As soon as I get a cover, I’ll share it with all of you.

Also, Destiny asked if I was going to write Chad’s story from Nowhere Diner, and the answer is yes. He’s on my list to get done. Not entirely sure when though. I keep hoping I can get back to him soon, but other stories seem to claim my attention. Chad’s very reluctant to talk to me, I guess. 🙂 But I do plan on writing him a Happy Ending.

I hope you all have a great Thursday.

Wednesday Work in Progress…

Sorry about posting late today. Just couldn’t get motivated this morning. 🙂 But I’m up and I realized I don’t think I shared a snippet of Chasing the King of the Mountain with you. I’m going to remedy that right now. (and if I already shared…here’s an extra peek…lol) This is the second book in the International Men of Sports series…and it’ll be out for general release on July 5th, barring any changes in the schedule. I’ll let you know when you can pre-order and get it pre-release as well.

Chasing the King of the Mountain copyright c. 2013 T.A. Chase & Devon Rhodes

Excerpt:

After his shower, Pascal flopped down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling for a moment. Every muscle in his body hurt, especially his calf where he’d got cut the deepest during the Tour last year. He was exhausted, yet he needed to keep training because he had a goal to ride in the next one, and at his age, even competing would be a big deal.

Sighing, he pushed back up onto his feet, then padded over to his closet. He dressed before heading out to his kitchen. His place wasn’t very big, and that was the way he liked it. He lived in the Dordogne countryside in a century old farmhouse. Renovating and modernising the inside had cost a pretty penny, but it was worth it. He didn’t change any of the outside, liking the way it appeared.

There was only one bedroom, which was fine because he rarely had visitors and it had been a long time since he’d had a serious enough relationship that any man would come to live with him.

In the kitchen, he readied his after-workout snack before grabbing his phone. He carried everything out onto the small verandah he’d built off the kitchen. It was a sunny day, and he was going to allow the warmth to soak into his old bones. Once he was settled, he picked up his phone to scroll through his contacts to Laurent’s name.

Pascal rarely watched TV or listened to the radio, and when he was training, he never did. But at the market today, someone had mentioned that Laurent had got engaged to his long-time boyfriend, causing Pascal to realise he hadn’t talked to his friend in a few days.

He’d known Laurent had been heading to Germany to cover the G8 summit, and he hadn’t wanted to bother Laurent when he had something that important to do. Plus Pascal had some soul searching to do, and some major decisions to make.

He wasn’t sure what Laurent would be doing at that moment, but at least he could leave him a message congratulating him. Pascal tapped on Laurent’s name, then waited for the man to answer.

“Bonjour, mon ami,” Laurent answered.

“Bonjour, Laurent. Am I calling at a bad time?” Pascal leant back in his chair, stretching his legs out in front of him. He stared down at the scars criss-crossing his shins.

“No. I’m in a holding pattern until I can get an interview with the American president. So, actually this is the perfect time.” Laurent sounded slightly annoyed.

Pascal grinned, knowing how much Laurent hated waiting around. “Congratulations on your engagement, Laurent. I think you and Jan are perfect for each other.” Not exactly true, but the right thing to say. “Have you chosen a date?”

Laurent snorted. “He just asked me right before I left for Germany. He wasn’t supposed to have announced anything until I got back, but like always, he can’t resist the spotlight.”

He did know how Laurent’s partner longed to be in the middle of a whirlwind of cameras and reporters. Pascal had seen the man in several tabloids throughout the years they’d been dating, yet Laurent rarely appeared with him. There were times when Pascal didn’t understand why Laurent stayed with Jan, but at times he saw the love that was there between them, though Pascal had an unhappy feeling there was more on Laurent’s side than Jan’s side.

It wasn’t his place to say anything, so he kept his mouth shut and supported Laurent when he needed it.

“Yes, he does. Still I hope you would’ve told me when you had a chance to call,” Pascal commented, flexing his feet to stretch his calves.

“Yes, I was planning on it, but I just haven’t had the time until just now, and I was about to dial your number when my phone rang. Great minds think alike, huh?” Laurent sounded like he was smiling.

“Well, I have a great mind to go along with my amazing body, but I’m not sure if you do. I think you’re just all fluff and no substance,” he teased.

“Ass.” Laurent changed the subject. “Have you been out riding?”

Pascal sighed. “Yes, and I’ll be riding in a race in Belgium and the big one in Italy. I’ve been training and it’s harder to recover from the workouts, but I’m still pulling the time I want, and I’ve been thinking…”

There was a moment of silence on the other end, then Laurent cleared his throat. “What have you been thinking about, Pascal?”

“A lot of things. I’m going to be forty-two this year, and to think about riding the Tour at that age is crazy…”

“Are you thinking of coming back for one more Tour?”

Pascal heard the shock in his friend’s voice, but there was also a hint of excitement in there as well.

“Yes. I let my team manager know that I’ll be back for the Tour. I have to join the team in two weeks for my first race of the season.” Pascal rested his elbows in the table, then propped his chin on his hand. “This is probably going to be the hardest season for me since I started competing.”

New Cover…

GRL_unconventioninalatlanta_800

This the awesome cover for this year’s GRL anthology, Unconventional in Atlanta. This antho is special because all the stories take place during GRL and they take place at the Melia, where the convention will be held this year. 🙂 So I can’t wait to see if you all love it or not. 🙂

Oh, and the title for my story in the antho has changed. It had been The Occasional Prostitute, and  now it’s The Last Client. Or it should be once I hear back from the authorities on whether it’s good or not. lol. So the other title will go back on my title list, and I’ll come up with a new story to go with it. Maybe it should be more of a Jack the Ripper type sort, since that’s where I got the idea for it from anyway. Hmm….

And in other big news, Total e-Bound will be changing their release schedule. Starting May 3rd, Total e-Bound will be releasing their books on Fridays instead of Mondays…so you will be able to get Home Sweet Home three days earlier than planned. Yay!

Also, I want to thank you all for making Threadbare Gypsy Souls a bestseller at ARe. I really do appreciate how you all support my blog stories when they get published and are out in the ‘real’ world. 🙂  And for the last several I’ve been adding more to them after I finish them up on the blog, so you have something new to look forward to when/if you pick up the full version.

Mom’s doing great. She ended up not being able to have the surgery due to a bad upper respiratory infection. But she’s going to reschedule it for May, and we’ll do it again. So I’m hoping to be able to post like normal this week.

Devon Rhodes and I finished Chasing the King of the Mountains, and turned that in. Now we’re working our German soccer players story. We have a working title, but neither of us are thrilled with it, so that will change before we turn this one in. 🙂 Maybe on Friday, I’ll share my inspiration for my character.

I hope you all had a great weekend, and the sun’s out here so maybe this will be a good Monday. 🙂

Happy Weekend…

tumblr_mk8o3iCUiW1qmb9j2o1_500

Thought I’d share this with you because I like Christopher Lee…and after reading this, I think he’s even more awesome…lol. Who wouldn’t want to be a part of the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare? 🙂

I’m going to be doing a lot of writing over the weekend. Need to finish Chasing the King of the Mountains, and get some other stories closer to being done. 🙂

Also, Threadbare Gypsy Souls comes out on Sunday, so don’t forget to pick up your copy. And remember Amber Allure always gives you a first week discount on the new books.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

New cover and contest….

astickywicketinbollywood_800

I realized I haven’t shared this with you yet. This is the cover for the first book in the International Men of Sports series I’m co-authoring with Devon Rhodes. I totally love this cover, and can’t wait to see the rest of them…lol. Of course we have to write them first. This will be out in May. I’ll let you know when it’s up for pre-order, and VIP download. 🙂 I hope you enjoy these men.

Also, I posted a new excerpt from The Whore of New Slum at the Amber Allure Pax blog. Click here to go and check it out. We’re running a contest, and if you comment, you’re entered for a chance to win the entire Steampunk PAX. They’re drawing the winner on Saturday. The whole week has been posts from the authors in the PAX. Should be some interesting posts. 🙂

For those of you who have asked, I do plan on writing a sequel to The Whore. Not right away since I have some other books to finish up, but there will be more to their story at some point in the future.

I hope you all have a great weekend and stay warm.

Home of His Own available now….

homeofhisown_800

Home of His Own is available now at Total e-Bound, if you didn’t pick it up the first time it was out. Click here to check it out. 🙂 This will be available in print at some point in the near future as well.

1400x2100Dreaming_of_Dragons

Dreaming of Dragons was re-released by MLR Press on Friday. Just re-edited as well, but it will be available in print at some point. 🙂 Yay! Click here to check it out.

Home Sweet Home was turned in on Thursday night. Yay! It’ll be out in May..and up for pre-order in the next couple of months. The Home series was the first series I ever started writing. Of course, it’s taken seven long years to get it done. I appreciate all of you sticking with me and bugging me every chance you got about Yancey and Juan. I hope you feel I did their story justice when you get to read it.

I’m working on my GRL anthology story, The Occasional Prostitute, and I’m hoping to get that done in the next couple of days. Then I’ll be working on the second book in the International Men of Sports series that I’m co-authoring with Devon Rhodes, which is titled Chasing the King of the Mountains. It’s about a French cyclist and a French reporter, and takes place during the Tour de France. As you can tell, we’re trying to feature sports that might not always get spotlighted in stories, and we wanted sports that are popular in a particular country. Cricket in India, Cycling in France, Soccer/Football in Germany, Rugby in Australia, Curling and Hockey in Canada, and Beach Volleyball in Brazil.

Also, I’ll be working on Thieves, the last book in The Beasor Chronicles, and at some point next week, I’ll be starting Pray for the Thunder, a short story for MLR Press. 🙂 So while it looks like I have a bunch of stuff to do (and I do), I think I have it under control.

Of course, I’ll have edits mixed in there…lol. I actually have edits on Stealing Life, which will be re-released by Total e-Bound on July 1st, and within the next day or two, I’ll have edits for Home Sweet Home. But edits are okay. They don’t take nearly as long as writing the books themselves. (usually)

Okay, so I hope you all have a good Monday. Those who were hardest hit by the snowstorm, I hope you’re all safe and sound. Digging out is crappy.

They Walk Among Us is available now…

TheyWalkAmongUs

I posted some places yesterday, but in case you didn’t hear, They Walk Among Us is now available at Amber Allure. Click here to go check it out. 🙂 Or you can browse my website to see what else is coming out soon.

Anyway this weekend was a great writing weekend. I did two real-time writing sessions with Devon Rhodes (which meant I stayed up really late since she’s like three hours behind me…lol) but we achieve two 10k+ days in a row, and our book is now over 34k. Which is awesome because it means we’re actually going to be bumping the word count up to 50k+, and our book will be out in print. Since it’s the first in a series of six books, that means all of them will be in print as well. Woot!

I really can’t wait for you to meet my cricket player…and Devon’s Bollywood actor. I think they’re wonderful together. 🙂

Also, I got a good amount written on Home Sweet Home as well, and it’s moving along at a good pace. Hoping this week will get me even more words.

Well, it snowed last night and the world outside is snowy/icy. Might be a good day to stay inside and write, but I do have some errands to run. So I’m going to write for a little while, then head out into the cold world (lol) to get what I need.

Have a marvelous Monday, everyone.

Two for One is available now…

My Sexy Snax, Two for One, is out now at Total e-Bound. Click here to check it out. This one had been available in the anthology Three that Liquid Silver Books released. I did add a little to this one to make it slightly longer.

Blurb:

When Jack receives a Two for One offer at a local club, he doesn’t realise the two men would change his life.

Jack Samson moves to Sumerset to start over again. He’s looking forward to his new veterinary practice and maybe having some fun once in a while. He certainly isn’t looking to fall for two men.

Simon Wittman and Brady Vanderly have been partners for fifteen years. They love each other, but they like to play. When they pick Jack up at a local gay bar, they think they’re just looking for a night or two of fun. They end up finding so much more.

Reader Advisory: This book was previously released at another publisher. It has been revised and re-edited for release with Total-E-Bound.

I’m working on Leaving Home, Peter’s story. Got the first chapter done over the weekend. Plus I’m working on a short story titled Reserved for Him, and got a little bit done on it as well. So I’ll be writing today on those two stories, plus the blog installment.

Have a great Monday.

Here Be Dragons is back….

Here Be Dragons has been re-released by MLR Press. Don’t worry if you already have it. The only thing that has changed is the cover. It was edited again, but I didn’t add anything new to it. Oh, the other new thing is it’ll be out in print as well…at some point. I’ll have to ask when that will be…lol

Just to give you a heads-up and I’ll remind you all again on Monday, I’m part of Amber Kell’s birthday blog tour. So next Tuesday, she’ll be making a guest appearance on my blog. 🙂 Don’t worry…you’ll still get installments of the blog story. Just on Wednesday and Thursday instead.

I’ll be plugging along on Whore. Hopefully I can get it done by Sunday. 🙂 I have three short stories I’d like to finish by the end of the year as well. Luckily two of them only have to be 15k each. The other can be up to 40k, but I don’t think I’ll make it that long. Once I start working on each of them, I’ll give you more information.

Hope everyone has a great Friday and a marvelous weekend.

The Vanguard is available…

Now that my brain is functionally close to normal…lol. I can let you know that The Vanguard has been re-released by Total e-Bound today. With a great new cover (not that I didn’t love and adore the cover Anne Cain did for me for the original release) and more editing, it’s a fresh start for the boys. 🙂  Don’t worry though, I didn’t add anything new to it, so if you already have the first version, don’t feel pressured to buy this one.  The great news is it’ll be out in print as well. I think in December or January, so that’s awesome. 🙂

If you’d like to check it out, click here and it’ll take you to its page at Total e-Bound. 🙂

I have edits to do on Home of His Own and a final galley to look over for Here Be Dragons. Also, I have to do the next installment for the blog story. I’ll be busy the rest of the day.  And hopefully, my late night won’t catch up with me.

Have a great Monday, everyone.
