New Ideas

Here’s me and my wonderful writing partner, Devon Rhodes, at GRL’s book signing. 🙂 I adore this picture of us. We looks so happy…lol.

so I was thinking of new and different things I could do with my blog. I’ll still be posting installments for my stories on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Plus do my darnedest to get you a snippet of what I’m working on for Wednesdays. But it’s Mondays and Fridays that I have a problem thinking of stuff to say…lol.

My idea was for one thing, to see if there were any questions you would like to ask about my writing process, any of my books, or how Devon and I started writing together in the first place. Any kind of question (within reason…lol) If you leave them in the comment section on Mondays, then I’ll pick one to answer on Friday.

Also, I thought I’d do a little throwback Mondays where I feature one of my books that has been out for a while, and which I thought I’d give a new shout out for. I might do book recommendations as well. Let you know what I’m reading when I get a chance to read. 🙂

What do you think of that? Do you think it might be fun to find out those things or do you think I should just stick with what I’m doing? I’m always willing to listen to suggestions.

Well, I need to get writing. I hope you all have an awesome Monday.

Every Shattered Dream Part Five….

2351-210x336

The last part of my serial for Totally Bound came out last Friday. Every Shattered Dream Part Five…I hope you were all able to grab it and see how the story ends for Logan and Dawson. 🙂 And Kenny…lol. You can check it out here.

Also, as some of you might have noticed Total e-Bound got a face lift and became Totally Bound. Yay! Their new website is gorgeous. One of the things they offer are box sets of different genre of books. No Going Home is in the Lassoes & Lust box set along with Carol Lynne, Amber Kell, Bailey Bradford, and Talia Carmichael. It’s to give people a chance to sample some of the cowboy stories they have out. 🙂 I think it’s a wonderful idea. Makes me want to go out and buy it, even though I already have copies of my book…lol Click here to check it out.

Well, I have a marvelous time at GRL. Got to see a lot of friends and people I consider family. 🙂 But now that I’m home and unpacked, it’s time to buckle down and get some stories written. First I have to run to the grocery store since there’s no human food in the house…lol. Only food for the cats.

I hope you all have an awesome day.

Monday Update…and New Blog Story….

luccaswong777

Let me introduce you to Chad, the main character in our next blog story, Nowhere Diner: Finding Peace. 🙂 It was close..only four votes separated the two. But Finding Peace pulled it out in the end at 20 votes…while Why I Love Bodyguards had 16. Thank you all for voting, and I’m going to have to re-read Finding Love to refresh my memory. I’m going to try my darnedest to get you the first installment tomorrow. Just depends on if I have enough time today with the other writing I need to do. If I don’t get that done, then you’ll have a new one on Thursday for sure.

Got good news about some print releases. Chasing the King of the Mountains and Unconventional in Atlanta will be out in print in September, so those of you coming to GRL in October could bring your copies for us to sign. Stealing Life will be out in print in October, probably not in time for GRL, but still you’ll be able to get a print version of that one as well eventually. Yay!

I’m still working on some Tiffany stories, but I do plan on doing some TA stories during August, so I’ll be able to give you updates about those during the month.

Have a great day.

Monday…Monday….

Great news! Always Ready is done and submitted. Now just comes the waiting part to see if they want it for their anthology or not. If not, I’ll either publish it with them as a stand-alone or see about sending it somewhere else. 🙂 I’m not worried about it. My guys will find a home somewhere…lol

So my M/F pen name has a website now. www.tiffanyaaron.com Please stop by and check it out, even if you don’t read M/F stories any more. 🙂  I plan on posting on that blog Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I don’t have time to post there any more than that…lol. Posting every weekday here, and trying to write takes up a lot of time.

Now I have to start on Fallen: New York, my 5th book in the Fallen series. It’s M/F….so if you want to know more about it, you can stop by Tiffany’s site. But I need to have it done by August 1st, so I’ll be writing like crazy on that. But I’ll also be working on Blindsided, the 4th book in the International Sports series, and Remove the Space Between Us (whose title will probably be shortened when I sub it…lol), the 1st book in my Rags to Riches series. That one is almost halfway done and needs to be turned in by Sept 1st.

I have books scheduled out through December of 2014 with Total e-Bound. Alternating TA and Tiffany books, but I’m sure there’ll be other stories snuck in around the main ones. Plus I’ll have books coming out at MLR Press and Amber Allure when I can. 🙂

I think I’m going to be wrapping Hearts on the Line up this week. Then I’ll work on adding more to it before I submit it to Amber Allure. Hearts is long enough, it’ll be released in print as well so that’s a bonus. I decided I’ll do that since it’s already been out in installments here. If I get a chance to write another serial for Total E-bound, it’ll be new and not something I’ve posted on my blog before.

Well, I have a lot of stuff to do, so I have to get cracking. Hope you all have a marvelous Monday.

Happy Memorial Day….

heart-candle-image2

Please take the time today to say thank you to all the men and women who have served or are serving in our military. Because of their willingness to put themselves in front of a bullet or over a bomb, we can live the life we have today. 🙂 Also, take the time to thank that serviceman/woman’s family because they are on the front lines just as much as their spouse/significant other is.

I forgot to post anything last Friday and I’m sorry about that. I also didn’t remember until later that Home Sweet Home is now available for general release at Total e-Bound. 🙂 Yay! Yancey and Juan’s story is finally here…lol. Click here to check it out. More awesome news is that it’s a bestseller already at ARe. Thank you so much to all of you who have bought it. I hope you enjoy it.

I have to get going. It’s a busy day and I need to get a bunch of writing done. 🙂 I hope you all have a safe and marvelous Memorial Day.

More Eye Candy….

channing-tatum_111612111932

I know you usually get a picture of Channing Tatum at least once or twice a week, but I thought I’d share this one. And really this is the best kind of candy because it won’t go right to your hips…lol.

Well, Parts 1-3 of For Every Dream that Shattered have been turned in with their cover art/blurb forms. I’ll be starting Part 4 today and hopefully by next Monday, I’ll be turning in the last two parts. I hope you all are looking forward to it because I like this story and it’s been fun to write.

Oh, I got a release date for Sharp Dressed Man. It’ll be coming out on June 7th from MLR Press as part of their Mixed Tape stories. As soon as I get a cover, I’ll share it with all of you.

Also, Destiny asked if I was going to write Chad’s story from Nowhere Diner, and the answer is yes. He’s on my list to get done. Not entirely sure when though. I keep hoping I can get back to him soon, but other stories seem to claim my attention. Chad’s very reluctant to talk to me, I guess. 🙂 But I do plan on writing him a Happy Ending.

I hope you all have a great Thursday.

Wednesday Work In Progress…

tumblr_m9hmhnWbLE1qeadajo1_500

I’m going to post something from the secret project I’ve been working on. I’ve been doing the story in parts. This is the beginning of Part One, and I’ll be finishing up Part Three today. Then I’ll have two more parts to do. This is one of the stories that I have a deadline for, which is today for the first three parts. I got a little over 8k done last night on Part Three, so I have another 2-4k to do today, then fill out the blurb and cover forms for them. As soon as I know when it’ll be out, I’ll let you know. Hopefully sooner rather than later because I really like this story.

If you can find it, go and listen to the song, “Riding with Private Malone” by David Ball. The first part of the story is loosely based on this song. 🙂 I was inspired by it, but put my own twist on it…like I did with “Greyhound Bound for Nowhere” by Miranda Lambert for Nowhere Diner: Finding Love. I hope you find this snippet interesting enough to pick it up when it comes out. 🙂

It’s titled For Every Dream that Shattered.

For Every Dream that Shattered: Part One

Excerpt:

Holy Shit!

Logan stared at the car in front of him, then dropped his gaze to read the ad again.

“1967 Chevrolet. Good condition. Needs some repairs. Two thousand dollars or best offer.”

He’d called the number, and the man who answered agreed to have Logan come over to look at the vehicle whenever he liked.

Since he’d separated from the army, Logan had time on his hands. The economy might have been looking up, but it still had been near impossible to find steady work. He’d finally got a job working night security at a construction site earlier that week, but he needed his own car instead of borrowing his sister’s mini-van all the time.

When Logan saw the ad in the newspaper, he considered it a good sign. Maybe things were starting to look up for him. He studied the Chevy for a moment, then turned to face the man selling it.

“You have to know what you have here,” he said as he motioned to the car.

The elderly gentleman nodded. “I know exactly what it is and how much it’s worth.”

“Then why the hell are you selling it for two thousand dollars?”

After staring at him for a minute, the seller seemed to make a decision. “Son, would you like some coffee?”

Logan blinked at the sudden change of subject, but he nodded. “Certainly, sir.”

“Please call me Bert. You’re a military man, aren’t you?”

“Yes, sir.”

Bert gestured for Logan to follow him. After carefully covering the car again, Logan caught up with Bert as the man made his way tentatively over the uneven ground. He considered offering Bert his arm to hold since he’d feel terrible if the man fell.

Yet something in Bert’s carriage or tilt of his head told Logan that Bert would refuse any suggestion of help. He seemed proud, and Logan wouldn’t take away his dignity, though he did stay close just in case.

“What branch did you serve in,” Bert asked as he weaved his way up the steps leading to the farmhouse’s back door.

“Army. I served in the First Air Cavalry for twenty years. Just retired last year”

Logan got to the door before Bert did, then opened it. Bert eyed him for a moment like he knew what Logan was doing, but he must have decided not to argue about it.

Bert didn’t pick up the conversation again until they were both seated at a wooden table with matching chairs. The amount of scratches and scarring that marred the top of the table spoke of its age.

“My great-great-great-grandfather made this for his new bride as a wedding present.” Bert ran his fingers over the surface like he was reading the memories embedded in the wood.

“It’s a nice table. Very solid.”

One of Logan’s hobbies was woodworking, and he knew quality workmanship when he saw it. Bert’s grandfather had a good eye and steady hand.

“Thank you.” Bert took a sip of the coffee he’d poured into mugs for them.

“Bert, I have to ask again. If you know what kind of car that is and how much it’s worth, why are you selling it for mere chump change? Especially considering how much you could actually get for it.” Logan held his mug tight between his fingers. As much as he wanted the car, he couldn’t justify paying so little for it.

“Here’s the thing, young man. That car’s been in my family for forty-six years, and only one person ever drove it.” Bert looked into his coffee and Logan wondered what Bert really saw in the dark liquid.

“How many miles are on it?”

“About a hundred. Kenny got drafted about a week after he bought it. Only had enough time to go on one short road trip before he needed to report to Fort Sill for boot camp.”

Logan frowned. “Kenny?”

“Yes. He was my youngest brother, and if everything had gone to plan, he would’ve outlived me. But war tends to take the young, and leave the old to mourn.”

New Cover….

chasingthekingofthemountains_800

This is the cover for the second International Men of Sports book, Chasing the King of the Mountains. As you might be able to tell, it takes place in France during the Tour de France. Pascal Durant is a pro cyclist riding in his last Tour, and trying to win one of the coveted jerseys. He wants the polka-dot jersey that will proclaim him King of the Mountains. Laurant Desrochers (and I’m sure I’m spelling that wrong…lol) is France’s version of Anderson Cooper, and he’s Pascal’s best friend. Oh, and both of the men are in their 40s.

So, you have sports (though not the usual suspects). You have friends-to-lovers, and you have older men getting together. 🙂 I hope we’ve managed to hit on some topic you’ll be interested in.

This one will be up for pre-order on May 24th, and pre-relase shortly there after. Then the general release is in July, I believe. 🙂

Devon and I are hard at work on the third book, At First Touch, which takes place in Germany and features two teammates on a soccer (football) team. Yay!

Next week, I leave on Tuesday to head to Kansas City for the Romantic Times convention. I will do my level best to post at least the next two installments of Hearts on Tuesday and Thursday. I’m actually going to try and get them written by Monday, so I can schedule them. 🙂 But please don’t get upset if I don’t get them up. If not, the story will resume as usual on the following Tuesday.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Wishing for a Home is out now…

wishingforahome_800

Wishing for a Home is available now at Total e-Bound, if you didn’t get it when it was available before. I did add some to it, but I don’t think there’s a significant amount that anyone would notice. 🙂 You can check it out at Total e-Bound here.

I finished Sharp Dressed Man last week, and submitted it to MLR Press. As soon as I get a release date for it, I’ll let you know. 🙂

I’ve been sick, so after I finished SDM, I haven’t done much, though I did start a new story at 1 am..lol. My mind wouldn’t let me turn it off, and I wrote the first chapter and part of the second before I forced myself to go back to bed.

I’ll be working on King, Remove the Space Between Us (which is the new title for my Billionaire story), From Yesterday, and the story I started the other night (which doesn’t have a title yet) this week. Hopefully, one or two will be finished by the end of the week. 🙂

Oh, and I registered for GayRomLit. So I’ll be seeing everyone in Atlanta in October. 🙂

It’s raining here, so it’s a good reason to stay inside, curl up on the couch and type away on some stories. 🙂

Have a great Monday, everyone.

New cover and contest….

astickywicketinbollywood_800

I realized I haven’t shared this with you yet. This is the cover for the first book in the International Men of Sports series I’m co-authoring with Devon Rhodes. I totally love this cover, and can’t wait to see the rest of them…lol. Of course we have to write them first. This will be out in May. I’ll let you know when it’s up for pre-order, and VIP download. 🙂 I hope you enjoy these men.

Also, I posted a new excerpt from The Whore of New Slum at the Amber Allure Pax blog. Click here to go and check it out. We’re running a contest, and if you comment, you’re entered for a chance to win the entire Steampunk PAX. They’re drawing the winner on Saturday. The whole week has been posts from the authors in the PAX. Should be some interesting posts. 🙂

For those of you who have asked, I do plan on writing a sequel to The Whore. Not right away since I have some other books to finish up, but there will be more to their story at some point in the future.

I hope you all have a great weekend and stay warm.
