Last Day of 2012….

federer

Not sure if I shared this with you before, but this is a picture my husband took while he was at the Olympics this year. Since Federer is my favorite tennis player, I thought I’d share it. I think for this match, my husband was at Centre Court, three rows off the actual court. Pretty nice, huh?

I can’t believe today is the last day of 2012. Crazy. Where the heck did this year go? When I look back on it, it wasn’t the best year of my life for personal reasons, but it wasn’t the worse year. I can deal with the personal crap, and move on. 🙂

I’ve had a few new books out this year, along with some re-releases. I still have a few re-releases coming out in 2013, but there will be more new books out. I promise…the biggest ones will be the last two Home books, Leaving Home and Home Sweet Home. You’ve all been so patient waiting for them, and I hope they live up to your expectations.

I’m hoping to get Rover’s story done in 2013, along with the next Diner story and the third Why I Love book. Maybe even do the next Earth Warrior as well. Plus I’m working on a special project with an awesome writer, but I’m not going to say anything more than that right now. 🙂

I hope you all have a safe New Year’s Eve, and I hope 2012 has been kind to you.

Happy Boxing Day

To everyone who celebrates it. 🙂 I hope all of you had a marvelous Christmas. I certainly did.

Managed to get some writing done yesterday as well. So I’m halfway finished with Leaving Home. Have to really buckle down and get writing. There are going to be a few late nights while I do this..lol. But that’s all right. I don’t mind.

Hoping to be able to go see Les Miz today with some friends. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it won’t be too packed or sold out.

Oh, those of you who are VIPs at Total e-Bound, and would like the single release version of Ninja Cupcakes, it’s available for purchase and download now.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone. 🙂

Christmas Eve is here

It’s Christmas Eve, and I finished my shopping yesterday. 🙂 Everything is wrapped and ready to go. I’ll probably be doing some writing today. Hopefully I’ll get the next installment of the blog story done at least…lol

Have a great day, everyone.

Four Days until Christmas…

Where has this year and this month gone? I can’t believe it’s already almost Christmas. Crazy. But at least we all survived the end of the world….unless that happens at noon or something…lol.

I wanted to let you all know that there will be a new installment for the blog story on Tuesday. So if you get a chance to sneak away from the Christmas/holiday celebrations, you can check it out. 🙂

Still working on Leaving Home and Reserved for Him, but I’m making progress. Hopefully I’ll be able to get what I need written over the next couple of days.

Have a happy and safe Winter Solstice, everyone.

Wednesday WIP

First order of business…All Romance Ebooks is having a Christmas give-away. They’ve been giving away books for free and my book, Pestilence, is free today and tomorrow. If you haven’t picked it up yet, or if you know someone who might like it, but hasn’t been able to get it yet. Here’s the link.

Second of all, today’s WIP is titled Reserved for Him, one of the short stories I’m working on for next year. 🙂

“I want you all to fucking think of a fucking solution.”

It was going to be one of those days, Ion though as he pushed his mail cart off the elevator onto the executive floor of Bellamy International.

“Why the fuck do I pay you bastards such fucking ridiculous salaries if you can’t come up with one fucking good idea?”

Ion winced before sending Patrick, his best friend and Mr. Adrien Bellamy’s executive assistant, a sympathetic grin. “Sounds like he’s in rare form today.”

“You have no idea. Bellamy’s been like this all morning.”

Adrien Bellamy was the CEO and President of Bellamy International, a multi-national company that acquired failing businesses and tried to make them successful again. Well, it was just one branch of the business. Bellamy International had its fingers in several different pies, which suited Ion just fine. He might only be working in the mailroom right now, but he planned on making his way up the corporate ladder to a trouble shooting position some day.

Ion was ambitious, and it was his drive to succeed that brought him to the company. Bellamy International was one of the top 100 businesses in the world. What better place for a young businessman to work at?

“All your ideas are shit. I won’t lay off a thousand workers simply because the men in charge were fucking greedy crooks. You have to find me a solution that doesn’t result in people losing their jobs.”

Ion knew better than to ask why Mr Bellamy was furious. Patrick couldn’t tell him since being the head man’s minion meant he came across a lot of sensitive material, and it meant Patrick’s job if he were to share any of it, even with another person in the company.

After handing Patrick mail, Ion checked his list to see whom else he had to deliver to.

“They’re all in the conference room. Have been since this morning when I got here. Bellamy called a meeting of all the execs.” Patrick sifted through the large pile of envelopes Ion had given him.

“Why aren’t you in there taking notes or whatever he has you do during meetings?”

Patrick shrugged. “Not sure. I sent him a text to see if he needed me for anything. He told me to cancel the rest of his meetings for the day, and work on something else.”

They both jumped when a loud crash resounded from the conference room. Ion straightened from where he’d been resting his hip against Patrick’s desk. The door flew open and ricocheted back after hitting the wall with force. He and Patrick watched in amazement as Mr Richardson, the CFO, dragged Mr Bellamy out of the room.

“God damn it, Sidney. Why the fuck do I have them here if they can’t figure out one fucking solution? Monkeys are more intelligent than that group.” Mr Bellamy yanked his arm out of Mr Richardson’s grip. He started to pace the length of Patrick’s office area.

Ion had left his cart next to the elevator, and he found he was happy about that because his boss would’ve tripped over it. It paid to stay out of the way when Mr Bellamy was angry. After pressing into a corner, he hoped no one would notice him.

“They’re fucking morons.” Mr Bellamy ran his fingers through his hair.

“Patrick, can you call the cleaning crew and get someone to come up here. There’s a mess in the conference room.” Richardson seemed calm, bet then he always did. Ion had never seen the CFO lose his cool in the three years Ion had worked for the company.

Mr Bellamy was the complete opposite. He lost his temper at least once a week, usually at Patrick, then later that night, Ion would get an earful about what a prick Bellamy was.

Start of another week..

Last Friday was a dark day for everyone. How could it not be with the lost of children? It’s bad enough when adults are randomly murdered, but when it’s children and at a school, the horror seems to be doubled.

My thoughts go out to all the families who will be burying loved ones this week. It shouldn’t have happened, and you shouldn’t have to do this, not the week before Christmas. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as well.

I’ve been doing well with Leaving Home. It’s rolling along, and I’m hoping I’ll hit my deadline of turning it in on Jan. 1st. I have 8 1/2 chapters left to write, plus adding all the sex scenes in as well…lol. Maybe if I can get it done earlier, I can work on Reserved for Him. That needs to be done by Feb. 1st, but I have another short story and the Home book to do as well. Crazy.

Total e-Bound is having a 12 days of Christmas contest. Each day will be a new prize with a new winner. 🙂 Check it out here. Sounds like fun.

And if you’re a VIP at Total e-Bound, and wanted the single release of Ninja Cupcakes (if for no other reason then the awesome cover…lol) it’s available for download now. But only for VIPs. 🙂

Oh…and Unconventional..at Best has been nominated as best Anthology of the Year at Goodreads. Here’s the link. You don’t have to be a member to vote. Also, my Home series has been nominated for Favorite all Time M/M series. Les and Randy have been nominated for Favorite All Time M/M Couple. And Cindi from Embrace My Reflection/Bring Him Gold has been nominated for Best Secondary Character.  If you’re so inclined, please go and vote. (Vote for your favorites, even if it’s not me. I can handle it…lol)

Well, I’m going to dive into writing and I hope you all have a good day.

Friday Hunk

Well, it’s Friday…another work week done. Leaving Home is flowing pretty good and I’m happy with how it’s going. 🙂 Need to do some work on Reserved for Him soon though. Since it’s a short story (15,000 at the most), it shouldn’t take too long for me to write. Four good days of writing, I hope.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. I’m going to be writing, and going to see The Hobbit. Woot! Can’t wait for that.

Wednesday Work in Progress

How about a little naked Adam Levine? 🙂

I thought I’d give you a sneak peek at Leaving Home. A little bit of work in progress from me.

Excerpt: (copyright c. 2012 T.A. Chase)

Leaving home was an integral part of growing up. It was an important step to discovering who a man was to become. Peter Skinner understood that, yet he couldn’t help feeling sad as he carried the last few boxes out to Yancey’s truck.

Sad because moving out meant he’d cut his last ties to the family he’d thought would love him forever. Peter snorted silently. He should’ve known that once he told the truth, they’d turn their backs faster than a Quarter Horse cutting a steer from a herd. His grandfather ruled the Skinner clan with an iron fist, and if he said Peter must be shunned, the rest would go along with his decree.

“Do you have everything, Peter?” Yancey helped him put the boxes in the back of the vehicle.

He looked back at the house where he grew up, and sighed. “No. I got everything I want to keep. They can throw the rest of it away for all I care.”

“Throw it away? Your parents would really do that?” Yancey frowned. “That seems a little harsh.”

“You’ve met my grandfather right? You’ve seen how he treated Les and Tony. He wasn’t happy about it when I acknowledged any of you existed. Then I had the nerve to start working for Les.” His laugh was harsh. “Yes, they’ll throw away anything that will remind them of me. Trust me. I saw them do that with my dad’s younger brother. He didn’t do what Grandfather wanted, and he left. No one’s seen or heard from him since.”

Peter remembered hearing his parents fight over it when he was little. His father had removed all the pictures featuring his brother from the walls and albums. Peter’s mother hadn’t wanted to do that. Of course, Grandfather hadn’t liked Mother either, so she would have gone against anything he said.

Which was why Peter had been surprised when she stood right beside his father and told him to leave. It had crushed him, causing his heart to break and question his plan to be honest. He’d run to Max, who held him while he cried. Then Max had explained that the best families were the ones they built for themselves.

End of the month already?

I’ll be sharing a new cover next Monday. 🙂 Yay!

Well, I have to fill in the middle part of my steampunk story, and I’m hoping to get it done today, but I’m not sure if I can. If not, I’ll have to ask for an extension…just a short one..lol. As soon as The Whore of New Slum is done, I’ll be starting the next Home book-Leaving Home (Peter’s story) and a short story titled Reserved for Him. The short story goes to Total e-Bound as well. So I have a bunch of new stories coming out next year at TeB as well as a few old stories being re-released.

I hope you all have a great weekend. 🙂 I’ll be writing my fingers to the bone. (Not really, but I’ll be writing as much as possible…lol)

Stop back tomorrow….

I added a nice amount of words to The Whore yesterday, so I’ll be writing the next installment for the blog story today…along with more to the steampunk story. I’m almost finished with it, then I can start another story right away…lol. No rest for the wicked I guess.

Well, I hope you all have a great day, and please stop by tomorrow for the next installment. 🙂
