Good News….

Okay…I finished Reserved for Him last night, and subbed it today. Yay! Another story crossed off my list. Also, I finished and subbed Threadbare Gypsy Souls. Threadbare will be out April 7th. Along with two other stories for sure, and maybe one more. 🙂 So April there will be an abundance of T.A. Chase stories coming out.

One will be a re-release with nothing new added, just a different cover, so you can skip it if you want…lol.

I’ll be starting the project I’m working on with Devon Rhodes, and also Home Sweet Home will be started today. Woot!

Sorry I was late posting this. I’ve been staying at my mother’s this week to help her during her recovery from knee surgery. She’s been doing really good, so I’m going home tonight. Unfortunately, I have a funeral to go to tomorrow. 🙁 But she has a bunch of friends just chomping at the bit to come and help her…lol. So I don’t have to worry about her being by herself.

I hope you all have a great day.

Wednesday Work in Progress…

All right. So I’m only about 4-5k away from finishing Reserved for Him. I’m sure it’ll be done today and submitted. Yay! Then I’ll be starting Home Sweet Home, and India. Oh, and my GRL story. 🙂 But hey, at least I can cross one more story off my list.

Today, I thought I’d share an excerpt from Reserved for Him. This is the only peek at it you get…lol…since it’ll be done today.

I hope you all have a great day, and enjoy the glimpse of Ion and Adrien.

He rubbed his sweaty palms on his pants, then checked his reflection in the mirror by the door one last time. Ion opened the door with a smile, but his jaw almost hit the floor when he saw Adrien standing in front of him.

Seeing the man in suits all day at the office had told Ion Adrien had a sense of style and loved tailored clothing. Obviously Adrien stepped it up a notch when it came to going out on a date. The dark blue silky dress shirt he wore clung to him like a second skin. Adrien’s black slacks emphasised his muscled thighs, and Ion couldn’t wait to see what it did to Adrien’s backside. The man oozed sex and charisma from every pore.

“I’m going to have to fight everyone off you with a stick,” Ion mumbled.

After Adrien strolled in, he swept Ion into his arms and kissed him. Ion forgot every worry and nervous thought he might have had as soon as Adrien’s lips touched his. He buried his fingers in Adrien’s hair, holding tight while Adrien overwhelmed him.

The only thought in Ion’s brain was how soon could he get Adrien into his bed, and was he hungry enough for food to leave his apartment. It wasn’t until his lungs burnt from lack of oxygen that he decided to take a step back.

Adrien didn’t let him break their embrace. He rested his forehead against Ion’s, and they slowed their breathing together.

“I want you, Ion. More than I’ve ever wanted another man before, and that’s saying something.”

A small jolt of jealousy hit Ion, but he knew it was stupid to feel that way. Adrien was a mature male with money and power. Of course, he was going to have a lot of lovers before Ion. A tiny voice in Ion’s head said that he wouldn’t be having any other lovers after Ion if Ion had any say in it.

“I want you as well, Adrien,” Ion admitted, not seeing the harm in confessing the obvious.

Adrien took a step back, leaving his hands at Ion’s hips. “But I want us to have dinner together, and get to know each other better before we jump into bed. I think we’re looking for the same thing here, and it isn’t a quick roll in the hay.”

Ion shook his head. “It might seem odd, because I’m not that old, but I’m tired of the club scene and hook-ups. Maybe it’s because I have big plans for myself, and it doesn’t seem like a lot of the guys I run into are interested in that.”

“Maybe you just needed an older man to see the possibilities with you.” Adrien dove in for a quick peck, then he gestured towards the door. “We should be going. Our reservations are for eight o’clock and we don’t want to be late.”

Ion grabbed his jacket, and all the rest of his things.

Tuesday….a little better

Okay…so I finished Leaving Home yesterday. Got that into my editor, and we’ll be starting edits on it very soon. As soon as it comes up for pre-order/VIP sales, I’ll let everyone know. 🙂

I also did the last set of edits on Where the Devil Dances and Dreaming of Dragons, and got them to their respective editors as well. I started working on Reserved for Him, a short story for a TeB anthology. I’m hoping to get it done in the next couple of days. I’ll be starting Home Sweet Home (Yancey/Juan) and a project I’m working on with Devon Rhodes tentatively titled India (just until we get the okay to use the title we want…lol) Oh, and my short story for the newest GRL anthology needs to be done soon as well.

As you can see I have a lot on my plate, but I’m hoping to get some of them done quicker than others. The two short stories should be easy to whip out, if I don’t go crazy first from the pressure…lol

I hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Wednesday Work in Progress…

I thought I’d give you one last excerpt from Leaving Home. I’m not sure which story I’ll be giving you next Wednesday. Also, you’re going to have to wait until next week to get two choices for the next blog story. I have a lot of writing to get done the rest of this week, and I have a very important personal matter to take care of this week as well. But I promise, next Tuesday and Thursday, you’ll get two blurbs or maybe scenes for you to choose from. Then I’ll start the next blog story the week after that. 🙂 So be patient with me for a little while…lol

Here’s the excerpt: (Leaving Home copyright c. 2013 T.A. Chase)

After hanging up, Chaz tossed his phone onto the bed, then took his time stepping into the shower. Thank God he slept naked, or else he’d have had trouble getting undressed to clean up.

He took his time, letting the hot water soak into his lower back, and it worked in combination with the meds. Chaz was moving pretty well when he climbed out to dry off. He dressed quickly, then called to check and see if Frank was ready. They agreed to meet in the lobby in ten minutes.

Chaz put his shoes on before he dialled his mother. He stood next to the window, looking outside while he waited for her to answer.

“Charles, this is a pleasant surprise.” Her voice was full of happiness.

He frowned at her statement. “Why a surprise? I usually call you when I can.”

“You haven’t called me in over a month, honey. Maybe two. I think you were finishing up in Las Vegas and called to tell me you wouldn’t be coming home for the break.”

Wincing, he gave himself a mental slap on the forehead. How could he have forgotten to check in with his mom? And he must have ignored several of her voicemails as well since she would’ve called to make sure he was okay.

“Sorry” was all he could think of to say. He couldn’t explain what the problem was. She’d demand he retire and come home, and since he wasn’t ready for that, he’d stay silent.

“If I hadn’t talked to Matthew a few times while you were quiet, I would’ve panicked, but he told me you were okay. Just taking time off from everyone.”

The tone of her voice said she didn’t understand why he’d want to take time off from his family, but she was willing to let it go as long as he was in contact with one sibling.

“Speaking of Matthew, I called to tell you he was back in the states. He just landed a few hours ago, but he’s heading home to take a shower before hitting his bed for some uninterrupted sleep.”

Chaz kind of hoped Matthew’s guy would keep Matthew from sleeping for a little while at least, but he wasn’t going to mention that to his mother.

His mother sighed in relief. “Thank God. I hate when he’s out of touch, though he does manage to call once in a while. So we watched you on TV last night. You and Frank did a good job, but you seemed a little stiff. Are you doing all right?”

He loved his mother. “Yes, Mom. I’m doing fine. It was just I hadn’t warmed up enough after not doing the job for a couple months.”

She hummed like she wasn’t completely convinced he was telling the truth, but she let it slide. “Good. Now are you and Frank off to have some breakfast?”

Chuckling, Chaz said, “Yes. You know our routine, though we might pick up some stranglers along the way.”

“All right. Have a good event, honey, and I’ll talk to you in the next day or two.”

“Bye, Mom.”

Chaz hung up, then tucked his phone away. He grabbed his wallet and sunglasses as he walked out of his room. After making his way down to the lobby, he looked around for Frank. He found his partner standing near the front entrance chatting with Cody Harwood.

“Cody, I thought you weren’t going to be riding any more,” Chaz said as he approached.

Cody and Frank turned to face him, and Cody smiled.

“I’m retiring after this event. I got an exemption, but I still can’t ride. I don’t have enough strength in my riding hand to grip the rope.” Cody flexed his right hand.

“That sucks, man. Sorry to hear that.” Chaz slapped Cody on the shoulder. “You want to join us for some breakfast?”

“Sure. I need to be over to the arena an hour before the round starts to help with the bulls, but I could definitely eat.”

“Good. Let’s go.”

Chaz led the way out of the hotel, and they climbed into his truck. There was an IHOP down the road that he and Frank ate every time they came to Tulsa. He drove there, listening to Cody and Frank talk about guys they all knew.

Have a good Wednesday, everyone. 🙂

Last Day of 2012….

federer

Not sure if I shared this with you before, but this is a picture my husband took while he was at the Olympics this year. Since Federer is my favorite tennis player, I thought I’d share it. I think for this match, my husband was at Centre Court, three rows off the actual court. Pretty nice, huh?

I can’t believe today is the last day of 2012. Crazy. Where the heck did this year go? When I look back on it, it wasn’t the best year of my life for personal reasons, but it wasn’t the worse year. I can deal with the personal crap, and move on. 🙂

I’ve had a few new books out this year, along with some re-releases. I still have a few re-releases coming out in 2013, but there will be more new books out. I promise…the biggest ones will be the last two Home books, Leaving Home and Home Sweet Home. You’ve all been so patient waiting for them, and I hope they live up to your expectations.

I’m hoping to get Rover’s story done in 2013, along with the next Diner story and the third Why I Love book. Maybe even do the next Earth Warrior as well. Plus I’m working on a special project with an awesome writer, but I’m not going to say anything more than that right now. 🙂

I hope you all have a safe New Year’s Eve, and I hope 2012 has been kind to you.

Work In Progress…

I thought this was an appropriate picture. 🙂

Since I forgot to do this on Wednesday, I’ll give you an excerpt today. It’s from Leaving Home, which  will be done this weekend. Yay!

Excerpt: (this is the scene I wrote last night right before I went to bed)

As much as Peter wanted to baby Chaz, and do everything for him, Peter knew Chaz wouldn’t welcome being taken care of. He wasn’t an invalid or a cripple. He was simply trying to heal up from an injury. Several injuries that would have levelled a lesser man.

“Sure. Here you go.” He handed everything over, then after Chaz was done, he returned the glass to the counter. “Let’s get you in the tub.”

It didn’t take that long, even with Peter being as careful as he could. Chaz settled into the steaming water with a sigh, and Peter rolled a towel to tuck behind Chaz’ head.

“Are you going to join me?” Chaz peered up at Peter with a hopeful gleam in his eyes.

Peter shook his head. “No. You need to rest, and I need to get ready for bed. I’ll be back here in a few minutes.”

“Hey, don’t I get to decide where we sleep tonight? I think I remember you asking me whether I wanted to share a bed with you.”

Peter ducked his head, swearing silently as his face heated yet again. He couldn’t believe he was bold enough to ask Chaz that. If the man wanted Peter to stay, he would’ve said something. Chaz didn’t need to see Peter as a needy person who had to spend every moment of every day with him.

“Yes, it is up to you. I’m sorry I presumed.” He backed away from the tub.

Chaz grabbed his hand, pulling him to a stop. “Oh, you didn’t presume anything. I want you in my bed for as long as you’re willing to be there, Peter. Believe me when I say you’re the only man I’ve ever said that to.”

Was it the pain or exhaustion making Chaz say that? Peter had the feeling if Chaz felt good, he would’ve never said anything like that. Chaz didn’t seem like the type of guy who settled down or got involved in a serious way with anyone. Very much a player as Max would say.

Yet didn’t it mean something that Chaz chose not to take more pills tonight after riding tweaked his back so badly? Could it mean that Peter really was someone more than just a vacation fling or a one-night stand?

He snorted silently. Yeah right. It was all Peter’s wishful thinking making him believe there was something more between him and Chaz. The only thing there was mutual liking and almost overwhelming lust. When the two weeks were up, and Chaz had to get down to Tulsa, Peter had no doubt the man would walk away without a second thought.

Happy Boxing Day

To everyone who celebrates it. 🙂 I hope all of you had a marvelous Christmas. I certainly did.

Managed to get some writing done yesterday as well. So I’m halfway finished with Leaving Home. Have to really buckle down and get writing. There are going to be a few late nights while I do this..lol. But that’s all right. I don’t mind.

Hoping to be able to go see Les Miz today with some friends. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it won’t be too packed or sold out.

Oh, those of you who are VIPs at Total e-Bound, and would like the single release version of Ninja Cupcakes, it’s available for purchase and download now.

Have a wonderful Wednesday, everyone. 🙂

Four Days until Christmas…

Where has this year and this month gone? I can’t believe it’s already almost Christmas. Crazy. But at least we all survived the end of the world….unless that happens at noon or something…lol.

I wanted to let you all know that there will be a new installment for the blog story on Tuesday. So if you get a chance to sneak away from the Christmas/holiday celebrations, you can check it out. 🙂

Still working on Leaving Home and Reserved for Him, but I’m making progress. Hopefully I’ll be able to get what I need written over the next couple of days.

Have a happy and safe Winter Solstice, everyone.

Start of another week..

Last Friday was a dark day for everyone. How could it not be with the lost of children? It’s bad enough when adults are randomly murdered, but when it’s children and at a school, the horror seems to be doubled.

My thoughts go out to all the families who will be burying loved ones this week. It shouldn’t have happened, and you shouldn’t have to do this, not the week before Christmas. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as well.

I’ve been doing well with Leaving Home. It’s rolling along, and I’m hoping I’ll hit my deadline of turning it in on Jan. 1st. I have 8 1/2 chapters left to write, plus adding all the sex scenes in as well…lol. Maybe if I can get it done earlier, I can work on Reserved for Him. That needs to be done by Feb. 1st, but I have another short story and the Home book to do as well. Crazy.

Total e-Bound is having a 12 days of Christmas contest. Each day will be a new prize with a new winner. 🙂 Check it out here. Sounds like fun.

And if you’re a VIP at Total e-Bound, and wanted the single release of Ninja Cupcakes (if for no other reason then the awesome cover…lol) it’s available for download now. But only for VIPs. 🙂

Oh…and Unconventional..at Best has been nominated as best Anthology of the Year at Goodreads. Here’s the link. You don’t have to be a member to vote. Also, my Home series has been nominated for Favorite all Time M/M series. Les and Randy have been nominated for Favorite All Time M/M Couple. And Cindi from Embrace My Reflection/Bring Him Gold has been nominated for Best Secondary Character.  If you’re so inclined, please go and vote. (Vote for your favorites, even if it’s not me. I can handle it…lol)

Well, I’m going to dive into writing and I hope you all have a good day.

Friday Hunk

Well, it’s Friday…another work week done. Leaving Home is flowing pretty good and I’m happy with how it’s going. 🙂 Need to do some work on Reserved for Him soon though. Since it’s a short story (15,000 at the most), it shouldn’t take too long for me to write. Four good days of writing, I hope.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. I’m going to be writing, and going to see The Hobbit. Woot! Can’t wait for that.
