Computer malfunction

Well, I don’t know if it was a computer malfunction or operator error (lol), but when I got ready to post the new installment of TLS, it was nowhere to be found. So it’s going to be late getting posted, but I’m going to work hard on figuring out what happened to it. 🙂

Have patience and I hope you have a great morning.

Wicked Wednesday

Had a good day writing yesterday. Moving along on War….lol. Next in line on the schedule is Love’s Baggage, which will be Bandit’s story from the Preternatural series. Bandit has to take Alan and Roman, Alan’s brother, back where they came for some reason. (I haven’t come up with one yet, but it’ll be important.) So you won’t see much of the rest of the Canis family, Gryphon or Nick, but Bandit’s story will still be important to the overall plot.

Other than that, not much is going on. 🙂 The next installment of my blog story might be a day late. I’m busy today until late with other things, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to get the next bit written. I’m going to try, but I thought I’d give you fair warning. 🙂

Have a great Wednesday, everyone.

New Book, New Cover, New Contract

Freaks in Love
is out. Woo-hoo! I hope you all stop by Amber Allure and check it out. Here’s the blurb for it.

James lives in Triad City, working for the West Side Crime Association and hiding a secret that could get him killed. When his boss and the other associations’ leaders are assassinated, James has no choice but to return to the one place he never wanted to see again—Freak Town. Yet saving the life of the one friend he has in Triad City might be worth risking it all.

Magpie can’t believe he’s been shot and his boss assassinated. Waking up shortly afterward, he discovers he’s in Freak Town where all the mutants live. Nuclear radiation from the war has changed some people into creatures. Wigging out because his friend, James, is one of the Freaks seems sensible to Magpie. Falling in love doesn’t.

Together, the two men must find a way to survive the revolution being planned by the Freaks. Getting out of Triad City is the only way, but will Magpie stand beside James to save himself? Or will he lose his heart to a Freak, proving that the heart loves where it wants instead of where it’s wise?

Also, Bastet will be released at Amber Allure on June 6th. It’s an expanded version. So those of you who enjoyed reading about Baz and Kellan will be able to have the book for yourself soon. 🙂

I got my cover for Fighting Dragons and as soon as I can, I’ll post it for everyone to check out. Anne Cain, the cover goddess extraordinaire, outdid herself with this cover. It fits in great with the other two, while having its own style. 🙂

The voting for the blog story will stay open until midnight tonight, then I’ll count the votes and we’ll see which one will be the next one. Tomorrow, I’ll announce the winner and re-post the blurb. On Thursday of this week, I’ll introduce you to our heroes. The story will start up next Tuesday.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.

Woot! It’s Friday

This picture I like because of that whole, “He’s mine. Don’t touch.” look the guy is giving the camera…lol.

Well, the weekend is almost here. I’m working a half day today and then I get three days off next week. Woo-hoo! Can’t wait. We have friends visiting from out of town, so it’s time to entertain. 🙂

Well, the voting is still happening for the blog story….and I’m thrilled with the response. You all have definite opinions on what you want to read.

Writing is going well, and I’m hoping to be able to get some done while my friends are here. I’m an early riser and I don’t think they are, so I should be able to sneak some work in the mornings.

Well, have a great Friday, and remember Freaks in Love comes out on Sunday. I’ll post a link as soon as it’s live. 🙂

Time to Choose

okay…so I’m a sucker for two good-looking men who look like they’re having fun together…lol.

Anyway, while you might like the eye candy, I’m sure you’re here to read the blurbs and vote for my newest blog story. Without further ado, here are the blurbs:

#1: Wolf’s Survival

Fellow ranchers consider Jared Tasker a lone wolf. A man who goes his own way and who stands alone. They’ll never know how close to the truth they are. His pack slaughtered by the ancestors of those very ranchers, Jared’s learned to trust no one and accept his solitary life.

Oliver Wingate loves and respects wolves. As a conservationist, he believes they should be re-introduced into their once natural habitat. He meets resistance from all the ranchers who feel the wolves will prey on their herds.

When Olive runs afoul of some of the locals, it’s up to Jared to ensure the young idealistic man doesn’t lose his life in a battle for the wolf’s survival.

#2: Shades of Dreams

Stephan Colby is on top of the world. He’s lead singer of one of the hottest new rock bands. His best friend is in the band as well. In addition, Stephan’s in love. Yet Fate has a way of kicking a man in the teeth and when Stephan’s world crashes around him, he turns to his Rock, the one who has always been there for him.

Rocky Sanicily has always had Stephan’s back. They’ve been through a lot together. But when Stephan loses the most important thing in his world, Rocky must do everything in his power to keep Stephan from giving up.

Just list the number of the blurb you’d like to see me write as my blog story and by next Monday, I’ll let you all know which one it’ll be. Oh and if you haven’t had a chance to catch the last couple of installments of Bastet, please do so soon. I plan on taking the links down and deleting the story from my blog history by Thursday. 🙂

Have a great Tuesday, everyone.

Holiday Freebie

First big news of the day is I have a Holiday Freebie available at the Samhellion. It’s titled Four Gold Rings and features the boys from the Love of Sports series. It’s a free download, so run and grab it. Also, it kicks off Samhain’s December Holiday Freebie month. Almost every day there’ll be another free story to download and enjoy from all the marvelous Samhain authors. My story is a short goodie. 🙂

Second great news of the day is that Playing the Game is out officially, though it’s been available to pre-order for a while now. And some of you might have gotten your copies already. I know the one copy I pre-ordered from Amazon showed up on my doorstep last week. 🙂

Blurb:

Out of Bounds – Basketball player Kasey Johnson keeps his sexual preference out of the public eye. He thinks his secret is safe until he meets Ingram Fletcher. Gram has lusted after Kasey for over a year, but he’s been unsure if its safe to make a play. Then an impromptu kiss leaves him wondering if a relationship is possible now, and beyond March Madness. And if Kasey is ready make a fast break out of his comfort zone.

High Line – Race driver CJ Lamont’s world comes tumbling down when his ex-wife reveals the truth about his private life. As he hits rock bottom, rescue comes from an unexpected source, Garrett Johnson, Hollywood’s hottest leading man. After his twin brother falls in love, Garrett acutely feels the emptiness in his own life. He tells himself offering CJ a shoulder to lean on is only temporary. But the two men grow closer and CJ realizes he has a decision to make whether to rebuild the lie, or admit his love for Garrett.

I also signed the contract for Wishing for a Home, my next Home book…which means it’ll be out in the spring of 2010. Woot!

I hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Yikes!

Hey everyone…see what running late in the morning does. I forgot my thumb drive at home. Just discovered it. So the next installment of Bastet will be tomorrow. Sorry about that. 🙂

Have a great day.

Last Day of Work…

which I’m not entirely sure is a good thing, considering why today is my last day of work…oh well. On to better things…lol. Isn’t this painting amazing? Stop by Moxy Hart’s website to check out his other stuff. I’m sure not all of it is safe for work, so you might want to wait until you get home to check it out. 🙂

Let’s see…I’m going to try and get Kellan’s bio and pic ready tonight to post on it’s own tomorrow. That way you don’t miss meeting him and I don’t have to worry about anything when I get home, except sleeping.

Good news…Nick of Time got all the way up to #2 on ARe’s best seller list. It’s at #4 today, but Death or Life has joined it on the list at #9. This is the second time I’ve had two books on the ARe best sellers list. Woo-hoo!

For those of you who haven’t caught up on Understanding the Past, you have until Sunday to read it. After Sunday, I’m pulling the links from the blog. 🙂 That way we have a clean slate for Bastet. (And I haven’t been able to find a way to pronounce Bastet..though if anyone else can, they’re more than welcome to post in the comments.) I assume it would be Bast-et or something like that.

I hope you all have a great day.

Postponed

Sorry, everyone. I had an emergency last night (not me or C..a friend…lots of drama..lol), so I wasn’t able to get the next installment written up. And I have meetings all this morning. Ugh!

I will try and get the installment up sometime today, but it’ll depend on how long my meetings run. If not today, I’ll definitely get it posted tomorrow for you. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and sorry that real life got in the way…lol.

The Winner is…

Understanding the Past

I guess Jambrea’s internet campaign worked…lol. Don’t worry, all of you who voted for Bast, I’m going to make that my next blog story. (No choice next time…lol)

I’m a little busy at the moment and I still have to finish the first installment…I’ll try to get it posted some time today. If not, then it will be up tomorrow, I promise.

Good news about Bitter Creek. Amber Allure will be releasing Bitter Creek’s Redemption on Sept. 27th. Woo-hoo! Not as soon as I’m sure most of you would like, but that’s how it worked out. And it will be available in print sometime mid-October, so that’s a bonus. As soon as I get a cover, I’ll post it for you all.
