It’s a snow day…

The snow is coming down fast and furious this morning…and it’s only going to get worse until about noon. So I’m working from home today. I thought I’d post this really quick and then I’m going back to bed to snuggle under my blankets until a more reasonable time of day. 🙂
I hope you all are safe and sound, especially those are getting hit by snow and ice storms today…and all through the weekend. 🙂
Oopss..I forgot to let you all know that Samhain is holding a survey…click here…..they want to know what your favorite Samhain book and cover of 2008 was and also, what book and cover ever published by Samhain is your favorite.
So if you bought books at Samhain, please vote and it doesn’t even have to be mine. I’ll never know…lol.
Also, I would like to know how you would all feel about something. I would like to submit Nick of Time and get it contracted for release next year (hopefully..depending on the publisher’s schedule), but if I did that, I would feel compelled to stop posting installments here at my blog. Just wouldn’t feel right. It’s different when it’s something that’s already finished, imo.
Now I would give you a different story to read and start it as soon as I made the decision to submit Nick before it’s finished on the blog. So there wouldn’t be a delay between stories.
How would you feel about that? You would get Nick of Time eventually (and with options of print or ebook format…maybe), but there would be a delay to find out what happens with the guys and the book until the book was released by the publisher.
Please tell me how you would feel about that. Your opinions do matter to me. 🙂
Happy Wednesday

Don’t have much to say today…lol. The writing is coming along fairly well for both stories. I’m hoping by the end of the month that they’ll be very close to being finished. Oh I might have good news concerning a different story soon. 😉 Don’t want to say anything too soon, might jinx it.
Managed to make it to work over the snowy roads and it looks like we’ll get more by Friday. Ugh! I really don’t like snow.
Enjoy the eye candy. I picked him because of his beautiful eyes. There was just something mysterious and in a way, brooding about them.
Have a great Wednesday. Those of you in the snowy parts of the country stay warm and safe. Those of you without snow…just stay safe. 🙂
Poetry Train #82

I thought since I gave you a peek at one of my WiP, I’d give you a sampling of the other. 🙂 Here’s an excerpt from His Heart’s Home.
Excerpt:
Strong hands gripped his waist. “Be careful. We don’t want you hurting yourself.”
Derek shivered as Max’s warm breath washed over the nape of his neck. Before the thought actually registered in his brain, he pushed back against Max and they groaned when his ass rubbed over Max’s erection.
“I always thought you had a sweet ass,” Max murmured in Derek’s ear before nibbling on his neck.
“It’s one of my best assets,” he joked, covering Max’s hands with his.
“Mmm…I can think of several of your assets that I like.”
He let Max turn him around and raised his chin, meeting Max’s mouth. Their first kiss was gentle and slow, learning which angle gave them the most pleasure and how the other tasted.
Derek sucked on Max’s tongue, letting go of Max’s hands to bury his fingers in Max’s hair. He pressed closer and enjoyed the feel of hard muscles and rough skin.
Fuck, it had been so long since he’d touched another in any way except casually. He could have found someone for a quick fuck, but he didn’t like meaningless encounters. He liked sex, yet he wanted to know more about his lover than just a name.
Max bit Derek’s bottom lip, soothing the sting with a quick swipe of his tongue. Derek whimpered as Max cupped his ass with his big hands and rocked their groins together.
Happy Friday
Hello everyone, I thought today I’d post the pictures I’m using as inspiration for Max and Derek in His Heart’s Home. 🙂Here is Derek St. Martin…or what he looks like in my mind:

and here is Max Furlo:

Pretty nice, huh? lol
Writing is going well on His Heart’s Home. I’m almost halfway done with it…which makes me happy. 🙂
Hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.
Poetry Train #81
Here’s my inspiration for Joss Bauer:

So I thought I’d give you a little excerpt to whet your appetite:
They watched Bill weave his way through the crush of people until he disappeared. Joss looked back at Ry to find the man studying him. Ry slid his sunglasses down and looked over them, tracing the length of Joss’s body. Joss swore he felt heat from each part of his skin those dark brown eyes touched. The desire blazing in that glance told Joss Ry was looking for someone different than Bill was.
“You want something to drink?” His question came out husky and he swallowed, trying to wet his suddenly dry throat.
“Drink? Sure, I’ll take a whiskey neat.”
Joss forced himself to walk away and grab a glass. He could feel Ry’s gaze burning into his back as the man eyed the large dragon etched across his shoulder blades. Taking a bottle of the top-shelf whiskey, he filled a high ball glass and handed it to Ry. Ry slid his fingers along Joss’s as he took the drink, shooting lust and blood to Joss’s groin.
“Fuck,” Joss whispered.
“Could I get that lucky?” Ry’s pink tongue peeked out, wetting his plump bottom lip and drawing Joss’s attention to it.
Joss groaned and adjusted his cock, searching for room in his too tight jean. “Is that what you’re looking for, man? I’ll be happy to accommodate you, but you have to be sure.”
Ry checked him out again, his eyes lingering at the growing bulge at Joss’s groin. “Oh, I’m sure I’ve found what I’m looking for.”
“Pete, can you handle it for ten minutes while I take my break?” Joss didn’t look away from Ry, shouting his question over his shoulder toward the other bartender.
“Sure, Joss. I’ve got it.” The smile in Pete’s voice told Joss his friend knew what was going on between him and Ry.
He moved from behind the bar, grabbed Ry’s hand and made his way through the crowd toward the back of the club. Ry kept up with him, his hand pinching Joss’s ass every few seconds. Joss hit the back exit door at almost a run, letting the metal door slam open as he yanked Ry through the doorway. As the door shut, he pinned the man to the brick wall and kissed him.
Happy Friday

Well, Friday is here and it’s been a good week. Bound by Love came out and debuted at #2 on Samhain’s Top Ten Bestseller list. Woo-hoo! And now it’s at #1. Thank you to everyone who has bought it. I really do appreciate it. Of course, a few of the other books released this week are sneaking up the list as well, so my spot is in jeopardy…lol.
I finished final line edits on High Line, so hopefully that’s done and I should be hearing about final line edits on Where the Devil Dances soon. I have 2500 left in Ghost and that can be sent to my editor. Then it’s on to His Heart’s Home. Once I finish that one, it’ll be a toss of the dice to figure out which story I’ll work on next. I have a list, but sometimes things get rearranged on it to suit my muse. Sam is a very flighty muse and he tends to flit from character to character and I have to work hard to keep him on track. 🙂
Hope everyone has a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.
World AIDS Day

HIV/AIDS is a disease that comes with so many terrible side effects. Not just the health issues, but the emotional problems that come from having this illness. Soemtimes it’s not just the person with the virus who is affected. Entire families deal with the consequences that having this disease causes. The strength it takes to deal daily with this disease amazes and awes me. Please keep everyone who might be suffering from HIV/AIDS in your thoughts and prayers today. We must work hard to end this disease.
I’m blogging at SEx and Erotic Muses today. Tomorrow, I’ll be at Sloane Taylor’s blog, celebrating her birthday (early..lol) and the release of my newest book, Bound by Love, coming tomorrow from Samhain. 🙂 Please stop by today and tomorrow if you can.
I’ve gotten several great reviews for Bound by Love all ready.
Christina at Romance Junkies gave it 4 blue ribbons. Click here to read the review.
Wave at reviewsbyjessewave gave Bound by Love 4.5 out of 5 stars. Check out the review here.
Hayley at Fallen Angel Reviews gave my boys 5 angels. Stop by here and see.
I know there are a few more that I probably missed. I have to go back and check…lol. I’ll post those as soon as I find them.
Have a great day and I promise I’ll be hopping back on the Poetry Train next week.
Black Friday…

Doesn’t really mean anything to me. I don’t leave the house until a normal hour on the day after Thanksgiving, if I leave at all…lol. But for all you crazy shoppers out there who get up at insane hours for the great deals. I hope you got some. 🙂
Today, I plan on doing as much writing as I can before tonight when we’ll be having some friends over for movies, dinner and maybe a little Rock Band. 🙂
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving yesterday. If you don’t celebrate the holiday, I hope you had a marvelous day as well.
Happy Hunk Day

Happy Hump (or Hunk) Day, everyone.
If you traveling today or tomorrow for that matter, have a safe trip and enjoy the holiday. Eat lots of food…lol. but don’t forget to be thankful for what you have as well. 🙂
I plan on doing a bunch of writing this weekend…since I have a four day weekend coming up. Need to finish my St. Patrick’s story and the next Home story because I have four guys in my head, jumping up and down, begging for their stories to be told. I had to promise that they would be next if they’d just let me finish these two…lol. They weren’t happy, but I managed to placate them enough that they’ve back off a little. (And doesn’t that make me sound crazy…lol)
Hope you all have a great Wednesday.
Oh and there will be an installment of Nick of Time posted tomorrow. 🙂
A New Coming Soon

I had to give you all some eye candy for the day since I’m not doing a poem or anything today. Didn’t have time to write one over the weekend. 🙂 Finished up the second round of edits on High Line and worked on two blurbs for two Loose-Id books I have coming out next year. One you know about…Dreaming of Dragons. The other one is the next announcement I have…lol.
I just signed a new contract with Loose-Id for a St. Patrick’s Day story. As soon as I get the official release date and blurb, I’ll post it for you, but I’ll give you a hint or two. It’s a ghost story and it’s about two men getting a chance at a love that fate took from them. There will also be a cameo by a secondary character from Dreaming of Dragons. 🙂 It’s titled Ghost of a Chance (title might change…might not.)
So I’ll be finishing it up in the next couple of weeks along with His Heart’s Home. I also got the first scenes or so of my third Sports book, Defensive Line. (That title came to me last night and I couldn’t believe how fitting it was for the story.) DL is going to be about an injured football star and Jess, the waiter you heard about in Out of Bounds and will get another glimpse of in High Line. Turst me, there’s a lot going on in this story, but I’m hoping it’ll work out in the end. 🙂
I have a couple other stories I’ll be working on as well, but once Ghost is finished, I’ll focus all of my attention on HHH to get that one done by the end of the year. 🙂
I hope you all have a great Monday. It’s cold here and there’s snow on the ground. Yuck!
