The rat race begins again….

So it begans again…lol. Nice and wet as well. Yay! Mondays are always so much fun to begin with and chilly and rainy.

The website didn’t happen, so that goes on my list to get done at some other point. But I’m only a scene or two away from finishing Fighting Dragons.

I watched a documentary on Bon Jovi yesterday and, of course, ended up with a story idea from something Jon Bon Jovi said…lol. I wrote the idea down because I didn’t want to forget it. We’ll see how long it takes before I can work on it.

Well, I hope you all have a great Monday…hope it’s drier than mine is.

T.G.I.F…

This week has seemed a lot longer than it probably was. 🙂 But I’m ready for the countdown…lol. Now, if I can just get through the rest of the day.

Fighting Dragons is going well. I’m about 4-5k away from being done. I should be getting most of that done over the weekend, even though I plan on finally overhauling my website. If that happens, and it works (since I’m going to learn how to do it all myself instead of relying on others to do it for me) my blog will probably be moving, but don’t change your bookmarks yet. I’ll definitely post if that happens or not. 🙂

Been sneaking in a little writing on a couple of other stories as well as FD, just to give myself a little break from that story.

Oh, I normally don’t get political or anything like that on my blog, but I have to announce the news. Finally, the Matthew Shepherd and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act passed and will be on its way to President Obama to be signed. It expands the hate crimes bill to include any crimes against people because of their sexual orientation. Matthew Shepherd was a gay college student killed eleven years ago in Wyoming for being gay. James Byrd Jr. was an African-American man who was killed by white supremacists in Texas in 1998 as well. Both murders were gut-wrenchingly horrific. Both the Shepherd and Byrd families deserve our thanks for presevering though all the long years of struggling to get this bill passed. And thank you to all those Congressmen and women who voted for this bill, though I might want to say, it should have been passed much sooner, but at least you did it right this time.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Just another Hump day…

This series of photographs is great. I really like this model. 🙂

Hmm…what to talk about? It looks like Bastet is going to be a hit. That’s always good. I’d hate to start a blog story and have everyone hate it…lol. That would really suck. Since I just started their story, I’m learning about the characters like you are, as each scene and chapter plays out.

Fighting Dragons is coming along and I’m starting to get ready to finish up His Heart’s Home, which will move up to the head of the line as soon as I hit ‘send’ on FD. While I’m finishing HHH, I’ll be working on another vampire story. Once that’s done, I’ll be working on JT’s story (Tyler’s brother from Bound by Love) along with Rover’s story, I think. Even though it seems and sounds like I’m organized, I try not to pin myself down too much. Never know what story will end up taking over for a while. But those are my general plans for now.

I have a long list of at least thirty stories that I want/need to finish, and I have to admit that a majority of them have something, even if it’s only 200 words, written on them. It’s just a matter of taking my time and going down the list. Of course, if I think about it too much, I’ll wind up in a corner, crying because I’m overwhelmed by the sheer enormity of the job…lol.

Well, I hope you have a great Wednesday. 🙂

Forgot…

okay…so I picked out the picture I wanted to post today and then completelyforgot to post anything…lol. I was sitting here wondering why no one had commented yet, when suddenly I went…’It’s because you didn’t post anything, dummie!’ Ugh!

My mind must be fried from having to come back to work. Everything went well with getting my teeth out, though now I have a nice bruise on my jaw. Looks like someone punched me. 🙂

Well, I finished my first set of edits for With This Ring. Yay! And I submitted Understanding the Past. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear anything about it. I have accomplished a lot today for all that I don’t want to be at work..lol

Bastet will start tomorrow and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I think I’ll enjoy writing it.

I promise to post a lot sooner tomorrow. 🙂 Have a great rest of the day.

Short Week….

There’s something very striking about this picture. 🙂

Well, this week is a short one for me at work. I have Thursday and Friday off…which would be great if it wasn’t because I was having my wisdom teeth taken out…lol. I’m hoping that I won’t be feeling too badly on Friday, so I can get a ton of writing done. We’ll see.

Did some writing over the weekend. That’s always good..lol. Still a little behind in my word count, but I plan on making it up over the week.

I’m not starting the new blog story until next Tuesday, but this week you’ll get to meet the two heroes. I picked some hot guys to use for inspiration. You’ll meet Bastet tomorrow and Kellan on Thursday. Also, I’ll give you a little background on the group Bastet is part of, The Earth Warriors. So don’t forget to stop by tomorrow.

I hope you all have a great day.

Rain, Rain, Go Away…

Okay, so I’m going to build an ark in my driveway to deal with the rain. Ugh!

Nick of Time is #3 at All Romance Ebooks. Woo-hoo! We’re slowly moving up the list. 🙂 And even though they aren’t in the top ten yet, both Death or Life and Bitter Creek’s Redemption are best sellers there as well. Yay!

I’m working diligently on Fighting Dragons. I’m a little behind where I wanted to be by today, but that’s all right. I have the weekend to make up the word count and I still have a few days leeway to get it done.

Going to see Zombieland tonight. I think…at least that was the plan..lol.

Hope you all have a great day and a marvelous weekend.

Yay! Thank you.

I received good news yesterday. 🙂 Nick of Time is still #1 on the Amber Allure best seller list for Sept. And Bitter Creek’s Redemption is #2. Woo-hoo!

Thank you to everyone who bought both or either of the books. I appreciate you more than you will ever know. 😀 I hope you enjoyed the stories.

Another thing I forgot all about was that Bitter Creek’s Redemption is my 20th book released. Wow. It all started with No Going Home coming out in 2006 and now by the end of 2009, I’ll have 21 books out. (I’m not counting Playing the Game since it’s just a combination of two stories that have already been released…lol) And it was only last Dec. when Bound by Love, my 10th book, came out.

2009 has been a good year so far and I still have three months left…lol. 🙂 I’m not sure if I answered this question or not, but someone asked when/if Bitter Creek’s Redemption was going to be in print. I believe it should be sometime in the middle of October. That’s how it usually works.

Also, I will be doing a couple sequels for Nick of Time and Allergies, but they are on the schedule to be started later. I have to finish up Fighting Dragons, which is running on schedule…lol. Then His Heart’s Home will be next in line to finish up.

Well, I think that’s pretty much everything at the moment. It’s a chilly, but sunny day here, so not all too bad for a Monday.

I hope you all have a great day. 🙂

P.S. Thanks to Jen, if you click here, you can not only see the cover for Playing the Game, but pre-order it from Amazon. 😉 Hugs to Jen for sending me the link.

Wow…end of Sept. already…

I can’t believe it’s the end of September already. Where did the summer go? 🙂

Thanks for answering my question about a book of poetry by yours truly. It would be in print and I’m going to start looking into the options now. I’ll keep you updated on how things are going with that.

Someone asked whether we’re getting close to the end of Understanding the Past. Yes, we are. One of the questions everyone’s been asking won’t be answered in the blog version. Just know that the marshals will be dealt with in the version that gets published. I’m gettting the thought that the story has run its course on the blog. So within the next couple of weeks, I’ll be wrapping it up.

Next up on the blog will be Bastest. I promised those who voted for the story that it would be next, so it will be. Now I have to go in search of inspiring pictures for Bastest and Kellan. I’m kind of excited to start the story. While it’s another shifter story, it isn’t the usual kind, imo. No wolves or cats. No vampires either. It’s an urban fantasy/paranormal type. 🙂

Things are moving along on the other stories I’m working on as well.

Hope you all have a great day.

Question…

The question I’m asking is for me to see if it would be worth my time.

If I were to put together a book of my poetry, would you (my wonderful readers) be interested in buying it? It would probably be in print format, but if there’s enough interest, I could see about getting it in ebook as well.

It was a topic that came up this weekend and I was curious to know how many of you would buy something like that.

Thanks for taking the time to answer it for me. 🙂

Shay, the print version will be out the middle of October. At least, how it’s been going for the last couple of books I’ve had at Amber Allure.

Souix, I know it’ll be tough, but I do have a new story coming out in December, so it’s only two months without a new TA Chase story. 😉 But I am trying to write faster…lol. Darn day job.

Have a great Monday, everyone. 🙂

It’s the Weekend….

Started the day out right. Three cookies and a pop for breakfast…lol. Not very healthy for me, but hey, I deserve a treat for making it through the week, right? 🙂

Not much to report. Watched BONES last night. I enjoyed this episode much more than I did the season premiere. I don’t know why, but there didn’t seem to be the same chemistry between them last week. It was back last night and I was happy.

Writing is going well. Don’t forget. Bitter Creek’s Redemption is coming out this weekend. As soon as it’s available, I’ll make sure to post a link here for everyone. I can’t wait to hear your reactions on how it ends. 🙂

Nick of Time is available in print on Amazon now. Check it out…though they don’t have the cover loaded yet.

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend, everyone.
