Congrats…

to the Detroit Red Wings for winning the Stanley Cup. It literally came down to the last second of the game, but they did it. Nick Lindstrom becomes the first European captain to win the Cup.

Congratulations to Henrik Zetterberg for winning the Conn Smythe Trophy for Most Valuable Player in the playoffs.

I’m thrilled for them, but depressed. No hockey until October or so. Hmm….what should I do while I wait until the sport starts up again? Anyone have suggestions? πŸ˜‰

Have a great Friday, everyone.

No one is mentioning soccer? I hope you have a story planned for us…

Not to seem like I am just joining the crowd – but did you see the Armani ad that Beckham did?

Even str8 men can recognize that there is something extraordinary about the total package that makes up that man!

Write for us – the original and world popular – football.

Once hockey ends it’s baseball time, men with very powerful thighs and tight pants.
    Who could ask for more.
Happy Detroit won the cup, great team and if the Leafs couldn’t win I am glad it was them.=)
P.S I just bought a whack of your books, love em!

I do have a hockey story brewing in the back of my mind. It’s going to be part of my Sports series for Samhain. So start thinking about hockey images for the cover…lol.

    YESSSSSSSSS! Write, TA, write!

    lol…yeah linebacker is a great position. πŸ˜‰

Eight Belles broke my heart. Just as Barbaro did in 2006. I’ve only seen replays of the Derby and they don’t show her breakdown, for which I’m eternally grateful.

We’ll see…Maybe BB can do it…but I’m kind of pulling for Casino Drive to pull the upset.

I’m glad you have a football story coming. Linebacker is one of my fave positions. So big and strong and…you get the picture. lol

My knowledge of horse racing is very limited but I know BB hasn’t really raced against some good horses. I had been pulling for Eight bells… I’d just like to see a TC winner. You’re right, Big Red will always be the best.

    Melissa,

I do have a football story in the list for the Sports series. One hero is a linebacker. The other is Jess, the waiter I mention in OoB. If I keep getting ideas, I’ll probably end up writing more stories and there could be more football ones as well.

A Big Brown supporter, huh? Not sure if I want him to win or not. It would be great to have a Triple Crown winner, but he hasn’t really beaten anything. It’s not a stellar crop of three year olds. I want him to race against Curlin and then we can decide how good he is. πŸ™‚

But Secretariat will always be the greatest. (Along with Ruffian)

Well everyone has already given my suggestion for writing so I guess I’m at a loss. lol

While I am happy for the Wings, I am a Blackhawks girl. My favorite sport however,is football. Cannot get enough of quarterbacks, runningbacks, defensive linemen, offensive gusrds… Hey, you should do a football story, Maybe a linebacker who sacks a rival quarterback… Or a corner who doesn’t mind tailing a certain receiver.

Have a great weekend. And go Big Brown!

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Though I shouldn’t be surprised that everyone wants me to write. πŸ˜‰ Of course, that’s what I’ll be doing. Goodness knows I’m not running out of story ideas.

You know I’m writing more sports stories, Jambrea. lol.. Can’t let Kasey’s story be the only one and there are so many sports out there just waiting for me to write about them.

Anne, I do have a hockey story brewing in the back of my mind. It’s going to be part of my Sports series for Samhain. So start thinking about hockey images for the cover…lol.

You know, TA….goalies are uber flexible and they get to stare at the defensemen’s backsides for HOURS a day at practice and at games. I think there’s a story there…;)

    WRITE!!!

  11. Jambrea says:

Do you really have to ask?

You could always write about sports. Oh, wait…you ARE doing that. lol πŸ™‚

You can always listen to XM radio like I do. I feel like an addict! Picture me huddled close to the speakers-waiting,just waiting-for….Espo to tell another story of the old days-lol.
We need to find someone with the NHL channel, that way we could watch the downloads!
Or better yet- Let’s go to Canada! I can show you all the best places in Toronto and we can ‘do lunch’ at #99.

Hihi, outside of writing you mean? >:-)

Hmmm planning to take over the world is always a nice way to pass the time.

Then there is always making lists of top 10 hottest/yummiest/tastiest [fill in whatever you like] (My friend and I once made a list of the cutest guys in Dark & Urban Fantasy book. We bypassed the 10 and went straight for the 100!)

You could always help me write my thesis if you’re really desperate πŸ˜›

    Hi TA,

To answer your question: write, write and write some more… πŸ˜‰

    Have a great week-end.
