The Vanguard Cover….

Another wonderful cover done by cover goddess extraordinare, Anne Cain. Somehow she managed to capture the feel and the look of The Vanguard. The guys are perfect. I can’t say enough good things about this cover. 🙂

You can check out a few excerpts (if you haven’t already) at SiN.

Have a great day.

Home of his Own…

Home of his Own, Tony’s story, is listed in the Coming Soon thread at SiN. Stop in and check it out. I’ve posted the blurb there. I’ll see about putting up an excerpt soon. Also, there’s a bonus story at the end of HohO. It’s titled Where His Home Lies and is about Randy and Les. 🙂

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Finished….

Yes, finally. I wrote the end on Home of his Own on Friday. 🙂 Woo-hoo! I sent it off to my wonderful critique partners. I’m hoping to have it back to submit by the end of the month. So Tony’s story could be out by April next year.

Now I’ll be working on Dreaming of Dragons, His Heart’s Home and the second book in my Sports series for Samhain. 🙂

Shifting Perspectives reviews…

I did a small review of Fiona Glass’ Feathered Friend from our anthology Shifting Perspectives. Here you go.

Fiona Glass’ Feathered Friend is an interesting twist on an old fairy tale, The Swan Maiden. In the story, Charlie owns homing pigeons. One day while checking on his birds, he notices he has a new one. He takes it inside and finds there is much more to the pigeon than its pretty feathers.

Avery finds Charlie attractive and reveals his true self. Charlie makes a choice to keep Avery with him, ignoring the young shape shifter’s pleas. Even though their love grows, Charlie knows his lover isn’t happy. Will Charlie decide to set Avery free or will he continue to hold the pigeon captive?

The relationship between Avery and Charlie is interesting. It’s hot and tender, yet poignant. Fiona Glass manages to fill her short story with enough emotion to pull you in, making you root for this couple. This story teaches a lesson of why we should never cage wild creatures and how true love can come even to the most unusual of couples.

Fiona Glass’ Feathered Friend in Shifting Perspectives from Aspen Mountain Press and shows her story telling story.

Also, stop by Fiona’s blog or her Myspace page to check out her review of Emily Veinglory’s The Rat Burglar.

And stop over at Emily’s blog for her review on my story, Understanding Forgiveness.

Pimping Books…

I’m pimping my own book today. Though this isn’t the right cover. As soon as I get the right one, I’ll post it. *new cover* Shifting Perspectives is an shifter anthology featuring me, Emily Veinglory and Fiona Glass. I’ve read Emily and Fiona’s stories and loved them. They did a wonderful job. My story, Understanding Forgiveness, is a sweeter story than I usually write. I hope you enjoy it though.

Here’s the blurb for the anthology:

Not everyone is a shifter by choice. In T.A. Chase’s Understanding Forgiveness a shifter must learn to embrace who and what he is and forgive the son of the man who genetically manipulated him and held him in a cage.

Fiona Glass entertains us with Feathered Friend, a story about a man who finds a surprise in his bird coop.

In Emily Veinglory’s The Rat Burglar a guard protecting an ancient artifact meets a charming man who is intent on robbing his museum.

Wednesday WiPs

You’ve probably noticed the newest covers on my books section in the side bar here at my blog. 🙂 And it might be all screwed up like it is on my computer screen here at work, but I promise when I was doing it at home, they all lined up perfectly…lol.

So yes, I do have a book coming out from Samhain in April of 2008. It’s called Out of Bounds and is the first in my Love of Sports series. I figured since I haven’t talked much about it, I would post the blurb for you all to read. This one is about a professional basketball player who falls in love and has to make the decision on whether to come out or lie.

Professional basketball player, Kasey Johnson, likes guys, but he keeps those longings out of the public eye. Kasey’s secret is safe until he meets a nightclub owner who ignites a passionate inferno in his body.

Ingram Fletcher owns Liverpool, the most popular gay club in Phoenix. He’s lusted after Kasey since they first met a year ago. Unsure of Kasey’s preferences, Gram has never made a move, but a kiss in a crowded club starts Gram wondering if a relationship would be possible.

After a romantic weekend together, Kasey and Gram realize that what starts as simple lust can blossom into love.

This blurb might change over the course of edits, but at the moment, it’s what I’ve got. Kasey happens to have a twin brother, Garrett, who is an openly gay movie star. I’m working on his story next. He falls for a recently ‘outed’ NASCAR driver. It hasn’t been contracted yet though. So I’ll keep you posted on that one.

On to the word count updates:

Home of his Own: 39,142/50,000 (390 words)

Dreaming of Dragons: 652/50,000 (0 words)

Devil’s Addiction: 30,436/50,000 (0 words)

Where the Devil Dances: 10,629/50,000 (1550 words)

That gives me a total of 1,940 words for the week. Hmm….not great, but I have been working on other stories that I haven’t listed here. Like Garrett’s story, High Line. And a few others. I do have probably about another 1k written in long hand for DoD, just haven’t gotten around to typing it in.

Hope you have a great Wednesday. 🙂 Happy Hump Day.

I’m back…

C and I decided to run away for the weekend. We left Friday and didn’t get back until tonight. Where we ended up didn’t have any internet access, so I couldn’t post anything. 🙁

But there is good news….Three comes out tonight. Stop by the Liquid Silver site and check it out. It’s not up yet but sometime between six and seven, it’ll go live. 🙂

I hope you have a great Monday and I’ll be posting a new installment of the Vanguard tomorrow. Also, I’ll be back on the Poetry Train next Monday.

Finally Friday…

I know I usually pimp books on Friday, but I have to admit I don’t feel like it today…lol. Not that there aren’t a ton of good books out there. Must be a lazy day for me. don’t worry…pimping will resume sometime this weekend.

Also, the next installment of The Vanguard will be posted sometime this weekend as well. Last night was really busy and I didn’t get a chance to write it yet…lol.

I did do some work on Tony’s story along with the sequel to the short story I sent to Samhain for consideration and inclusion in their 2008 m/m Valentine’s Day anthology. Haven’t heard back from them yet about it, but I think I still have a few days left before they’ll be notifying people. 🙂

Yesterday, Kimi from Texas asked if I was ever going to write a story for Shade from Angel’s Evolution. I admit that when I wrote AE, I thought about doing a sequel and tell Shade’s story. I’m not ruling the possibility out. I did add a clue or two at the end of the story about Shade. But at the moment, his story isn’t on the schedule. I really want to get all the Home books done first and the Dragon books I’m planning as well. Though with the way things work for me, who’s to say, that tomorrow I won’t be inspired to write Shade’s romance. 🙂

Hope everyone has a great Friday.

Slight Delay

There will be a slight delay in the release of THREE, from what I’ve been told. Liquid Silver had a computer problem and they couldn’t publish this week’s books. So it looks like those two will be pubbed next Monday and ours will be pushed back a week…meaning it’ll be out June 18th. 🙁 Sorry for the delay, everyone, but unfortunately these things happen.

Wrote some more on both The Vanguard and Home of his Own. Plus did some work on a couple other story ideas. My main focus remains Tony’s story. Want to get it finished by the end of June.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday. 🙂

Release Date

Hey everyone, Three has gotten a release date….June 11th. Mark it down on your calender. It’s a hot anthology with Bonnie and Lisa joining me. 🙂 I posted another excerpt today and I’m sure Bonnie and Lisa will be posting theirs sometime during the day, so stop by SiN and check them out.

I finished the short story I was working on. Sent it out to my cps and already heard back from one. Lila remarked about one of the last scenes and I agreed with her, so I’ll be working on fixing that today. Plus doing working on Vanguard and Home of his Own (Tony’s story)

Hope you all have a wonderful day. 🙂
