Hope you had fun. đ
New Book and Party…
In case you didn’t know, Close the Distance, came out on Friday and is available at all 3rd Party sellers. đ
Also, if you stop by Totally Bound’s Facebook page on Tuesday between 8-10 pm. Carol Lynne, Amber Kell and me will be having a party to celebrate m/m books and our newest releases. There will be prizes  and also you can sign up to win a Kindle with three awesome books on it already. đ Click here to check it out and enter.
I have to finish up my edits for Saint Petersburg and buckle down to get A Grand Prix Romance done this week. Then it’s on to finishing up Losing Sight of the Target and starting Anywhere Tequila Flows, book 4 in the Rags to Riches series. So it’ll be another busy week for me.
I hope you all have an amazing Monday. đ
hey there….
As you can see, I didn’t get another installment of Bodyguards done for today, but there will definitely be one tomorrow. And hopefully one on Friday. đ
I wanted to let you know (if you’re interested) that Hearts on the Line is available in print at Amazon. đ Click here to check it out.
Also, Burning Up the Ice is available in print as well. Click here to check this one out. (I have to say I love the white cover on this book. It really stands out on my bookshelf.)
Oh and in case you didn’t know….
Close the Distance is available for early download. This is the second book in the Rags to Riches series and picks up right where Remove the Empty Spaces left off. Click here to check it out.
And Serving Love at Carnival is available for early download as well. đ Click here to check this one out.
Okay…so I signed the contracts for Saint Petersburg and a special project that as soon as I know I can say something I will. I have to double check to find out if it’s top secret until the publisher reveals it, or if I can say anything…lol. Don’t want to get into trouble, but I think you’ll like it.
Well, that’s all the news that fits to print today. I hope you all have a great Wednesday. đ
New Cover and book…
First of all, Finding Peace is out now. Yay! Â Click here to check it out. Also, it’s on sale. đ I did add more to it at the end after I took it down from the blog.
Second, I Â got the cover art for From Yesterday, Book 3 in the Rupert’s Legacy series. I love it. đ
Isn’t it pretty? This one was supposed to be out April 7th, but we pushed it back closer to the end of April. But it will be out next month.
Third, I finished Saint Petersburg, which is Book 8 (and the last book) in the Fallen series. This one is about Lucifer. He plays a part in a few of the other books, so I had to give him his own story. This series has taken me ten years to finish..lmao. It was the first series I ever wrote when I started writing and got published. Then I took a detour into writing m/m romance. But when I decided to write both, I figured I’d get the Fallen books done. Yay!
Now I’m going to be working on A Grand Prix Romance, which is Book 7 of the International Men series. Plus going to do my best to get you all three installments of Bodyguards. If I don’t quite make three, you’ll definitely get the usual two. đ
Once Grand Prix is done, I’ll be finishing up Losing Sight of the Target and starting Anywhere Tequila Flows, Book 4 of the Rags to Riches series and work on a special project. đ
All right. I hope you all are safe and warm this snowy Monday. (I was really hoping we were done with snow, but guess not.)
In the Home Stretch….
I’m in the homestretch of Saint Petersburg, and really need to get it finished by Friday. So unfortunately, I had to postpone Bodyguards again. What I’m going to try and do is give you three installments next week. đ Yay!
Does that make up for completely falling down on the job and not give you any Cathal and Burke this week?
I hope so.
Wednesday’s Work in Progress….
Since I’m working on Saint Petersburg, the last of my Fallen books, I thought I’d share a snippet of a story that is on my list to write, but hasn’t been claimed by a publisher yet. It’ll sit there until I decide which one to give it to, then I’ll move it up the list. đ
Guilt’s Not So Loud copyright c. 2014 T.A. Chase (I’ll be changing the name of one of the characters obviously…lol)
Excerpt:
People were watching him. He knew it, but couldnât bring himself to care. All he thought about was how to get his drunk ass up the front steps of his house and inside without losing all the contents of his stomach. Of course, it didnât really matter because as soon as he went inside, heâd throw up anyway. He saw that as a sign that he needed more to drink.
His head dropped forward and he ignored the tears dripping from his cheeks. Nothing mattered any more. He didnât understand why he kept getting up in the morning. He should just stay in bed until he died. It was fitting after what heâd done. No one would miss him. He didnât have any friends. They had all been Melissaâs and with her gone, none of them came around to see him.
âAll right, Gerry. Letâs get you inside.â
Looking up, he blinked his blurry eyes to see Burke, one of his neighbors, standing next to him.
âWhy?â Gerryâs laugh grated out of him. âDonât want the neighborhood looking bad with the drunk in the front yard.â
âYouâre scaring the women and children, man.â
Burke crouched next to him, and rested his hand on Gerryâs shoulder. Gerry snorted and wiped his face.
âIt doesnât matter. None of it matters anymore. Theyâre gone, Burke, and I canât get them back.â
âI know, Gerry, but you have to get a grip. All this drinking is just killing you.â
âMaybe thatâs what I want. Maybe I want to die too.â He stared down at his shaking hands. âMaybe itâs my punishment.â
âPunishment for what? You werenât driving the car that killed them. Heck, you werenât even there when they died.â
Gerry winced, not wanting to remember the night Melissa and Rudy, their little boy, died. âI shouldâve been, but Melissa and me had a fight. She was going to her motherâs for the night. Itâs my punishment for not loving her enough.â
He whispered the last part, sort of hoping Burke didnât hear it. It was the first time he voiced his thoughts out loud for the outside world to hear. He doubted anyone would understand what he meant. They would offer platitudes and patronize him, but he knew what he knew. And it was that he hadnât loved Melissa enough to keep her safe.
But Christ, he would have done anything, even died, for his son, and that was the guilt eating him alive every night. It wasnât Melissa he was mourning, it was Rudy.
âMaybe youâre right. Maybe your familyâs death is Godâs way of punishing you for not loving them enough, but Iâm not sure thatâs true. I donât know much about God. He might be a vindictive bastard.â
Again, Gerry blinked at Burke, trying to make sense of what the man was saying.
âCome on. You need to get inside and to the nearest bathroom before you empty the contents of your stomach. Iâm not going to be the one cleaning that shit up.â
Sorry….
Real life got in the way and I wasn’t able to get the next installment of Bodyguards done. I’m hoping to be able to do it tomorrow, but there might not be one until Thursday. Which I know is mean since you’ve all been waiting impatiently for Cathal and Burke to get together. đ
But I’ll do my best.
New Cover….
This is the cover to Patrick’s story from Rags to Riches. đ I think the release date for this is in May, but I have to double check…lol.
Burning Up the Ice, Book 5 in the International series, is now available at all 3rd party sellers as well as Totally Bound. đ Click here to check it out.
And Serving Love at Carnival is available for early download as well. Click here to see that. đ
Okay…I think that’s all my news for today. Plan on doing a lot of writing this weekend to see if I can’t get some stories done and turned in. đ
I hope you all have a great weekend. Stay warm and safe.
Wednesday’s Work in Progress…
I thought I’d share another excerpt from Losing Sight of the Target. đ I’m actually working on St Petersburg, the last book in my M/F Fallen series. Need to get that done. Have two sets of edits to go through as well. It’ll be a busy next couple of days, but I’ll push through it…lol
So here you go:
Losing Sight of the Target copyright c. 2014 T.A. Chase
Excerpt:
They got in line and grabbed some breakfast. Nate gestured to a table where some of the other skiing team sat. Justin nodded to them as he took a seat.
âHey man, whoâd you fuck last night?â
He jerked his head up and stared at Rob, one of the cross-country skiers. âWhat do you mean?â
âDude, your roomâs right next to mine.â He grinned. âHeard your bed bang against the wall a couple times last night.â
His cheeks on fire, Justin dropped his gaze to his plate. âUmmâŚâ
âLeave him alone, Rob. Not everyone is a complete man whore like you and sleeps with anyone whoâll have him. Plus heâs a gentleman and doesnât kiss and tell.â Nate punched Rob in the arm.
Justin appreciated Nate stepping in. Heâd never told anyone that he trained with that he was gay. Mostly because it simply never came up. It wasnât like he was hiding it or anything like that. If someone had asked him point blank about it, heâd have said something.
âFine, but just let me know if Iâm going to be hearing any more of that because Iâll put on my headphones.â Rob winked at him.
âLike you werenât doing the same damn thing,â Peter, Robâs roommate, said as he joined them. âI walked in on him last night. Who were you fucking? Oh yeah. One of the German snowboarders. I had to leave.â
âThat bad,â Justin joked, trying to get over his embarrassment.
âOh she was hot, but I couldnât stand there looking at his blindingly white ass for another minute.â Peter ducked the slap Rob aimed for his head.
The joking and laughter continued while Justin finished eating. When he and Nate were both done, they threw away their trash then went to meet up with their coach in the gym.
After a few hours, Justin returned to his room to change into his outdoors ski clothes. He was excited to get outside in the fresh air and stretch his legs. He wasnât the type of guy who liked to spend too much time inside. Going over to his dresser to grab his gloves and sunglasses, he noticed a flash of sliver hanging from the mirror. He removed the chain and brought it over to the window so he could examine it. It wasnât there when I left to go to breakfast. How did he get in here again?
The pendant was of a rifle layered on top of a pair of skis forged out of silver like his bracelet. He ran his fingers over it, loving how the roughness of the edges and raised lines told him what it was without him having to look at it. Justin took off the tag attached to it and read it.
âGood luck. Love, Câ
He tugged the note away before he put the necklace on. Arranging everything so it rested on his chest under his shirt, he touched it one more time before heading out. He needed to keep his head on his events and not the mysterious man who kept appearing then disappearing after fucking Justin stupid.
âWhat took you so long?â Nate yelled from where he stood next to a bus that was going to transport them to where the cross-country and biathlon events were going to take place.
âSorry.â Justin wasnât about to spill his guts to Nate, not about Caesar anyway. Something told him Caesar didnât want anyone to know he was around, not that anyone would know who Caesar was. At least Justin didnât think Caesar was famous or anything like that. Oh hell! What the fuck do I know about the man? Heâs a contract negotiator or something like that. He comes and goes like a ghost. And I really like him.
How could he like Caesar when he didnât know the man? All theyâd done was have sex and talk a little bit. It wasnât like theyâd dated for months. Two nights together didnât constitute a relationship, though it did feel like Caesar was courting him by sending gifts.
âHey Justin.â
He looked up to see Nate staring at him. âWhat?â
âGet your head out of your ass and pay attention. The next two weeks are going to be the most important in your life, do you understand? If you want any shot at medaling, you need to focus.â Nate frowned. âI know thereâs something going on with you. I can tell by how Norman looks at you, but you have to push it out of your mind.â
âActually I wasnât even thinking about that,â Justin admitted. âI was trying to figure something out in my head, but youâre right. I have to forget about it all and live in the moment. Thatâs the only way Iâm going to achieve what I want.â
They settled into their seats with some of the other people heading up into the mountains. Justin nodded at one of the Norwegian biathletes heâd competed against in the world championship events. The man nodded back before slipping his earbuds in.
Monday again…lol
I’m sure you’ll see this wandering around if you follow many writers because whoever wrote this for Robert DeNiro knew exactly what they were talking about. The were millions of writers out there last night nodding their head in agreement…lol
Well, I didn’t get Losing finished over the weekend, though I’m closer than I was…lol. It’ll be done this week. (keeping my fingers crossed) I did get St Petersburg started and am on track with that word count. Yay! I have to tweak my secret story, but I’m going to do that today so I can get that back to my editor this week.
I’ll be doing the next Bodyguard installment first though. That needs to be done early this afternoon then I can work on whichever one I want.
Oh, the amazingly awesome Amy Lane has a post on her blog today of some upcoming releases to look forward to this month. Check it out here. I’m mentioned twice, but so is Mary Calmes, BA Tortuga, and Rhys Ford. JP Barnaby as well. đ To help you add to your to-be-read pile. đ
I hope you all have a great Monday.
