Wednesday WiPs

Wow…it’s been a while since I’ve posted my updates. lol. Of course, the last couple of weeks have been screwed up anyway. š
Where the Devil Dances: 25,231/30,000 (2,504 words)
Dreaming of Dragons: 2,106/50,000 (413 words)
His Heart’s Home: 5,975/50,000 (0 words)
To Hell with the Devil: 10,839/30,000 (2,377 words)
That gives me a total of 5,294 words written on these four stories. Being sick really kicked my butt last week, so I didn’t lift a pen or did anything remotely like writing. š But that’s okay. I’m feeling a lot better and getting back into the swing of things. The next week will be busy, but I’ll squeeze in as much writing time as I can.
Hope you all have a great day.
Poetry Train…

One day at a time
Is how love is built
A single kiss
A simple look
You asked for nothing except
A single day
A moment out of time with
No expectations of more
Willingly I gave it
Never knowing a day
Would become a life
A foundation for love to grow
Two weeks together
Is how love is built
Ten kisses
Ten glances
Our worlds intertwined
Our roads merged
Love strengthened
Need blossomed
Songs were sung
Dances danced
Nights spent loving
Forging unbreakable bonds
Two lives living
Is how love is built
Kisses shared
Looks given.
Promises made.

Still Sick..
I’m still sick, but I thought I’d give you something pretty to look at..lol. I’ll try to get the next installment up tomorrow, ok? It’s been a long time since I’ve been this sick. Ugh! Sitting in a chair is difficult when all I want to do is curl up and sleep.Have a great day and I’ll get the next bit down for tomorrow. And yes, we are getting close to the end of the story.
I hate Winter….
due to yet another cold that I’ve managed to catch, the next installment will be late. Depending on when I drag my butt back out of bed, it might not be up until tomorrow.Sorry and I hope everyone is happy and healthy. š

Silence
Silence
A living cancer
Eating life
Destroying love
I walk through rooms
Filled with ghosts
Of love failed
And lives gone
My heart used to sing
To the words racing on the wind.
My blood used to race
To the melody of the leaves.
Now thereās onlyā¦
Silence
A living cancer
Eating life
Destroying love
No songs
My music gone
Empty is my world
Of the joy I once knew.
New Excerpt

Wednesday WiPs

Another Wednesday. This week is moving faster than I thought it would.
I submitted Home of His Own to LSB. Just waiting to hear back from them on it. So as soon as I get the news, Iāll let you all know.
Went through my first set of edits for Out of Bounds, my April release from Samhain. Not bad. Didnāt leave me shaking my head wondering why my editor ever agreed to publish the thingā¦lol.
On to the word counts:
Dreaming of Dragons: 1,693/50,000 (31 words) āI do have more written out, just havenāt gotten to type it in yet.
Where the Devil Dances: 22,727/35,000 (1,477 words)- Iāve dropped the word count down because I believe weāre getting close to the end and I know itās not going to hit 50k.
His Heartās Home: 5,975/50,000 (2,547 words) Have lots more written out along with poems/songs for each chapterā¦or I hope thatās how itās going to work out.
That gives me 4,055 words for the week. I wrote 22,364 words in November which added to my previous total gives me 348,577 words written from Jan.-Nov. I donāt remember how much I wrote last year. I might have to go back and see if I can figure it out.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Poetry Train

I wander through crowds
Searching for a touch
Yearning for a voice
Someone to hear
To tell me I have a choice.
Alone is easy.
Lonely is hard.
Chasing a dream,
Knowing it isnāt
In the cards.
Dreaming of forever
Dealing with for now
Understanding freedom
Wishing to be bound.
I can be alone and love it.
I fear being lonely
With no one to cherish
To be no oneās one and only.
Alone is easy.
