Slight Delay…

Due to a small family emergency that led to me being out of town for most of last night. 🙁 I wasn’t able to get the next installment of Geeks done. So I’ll be working on it tonight and it’ll get posted regular time tomorrow. Sorry about that, guys. (Everything’s okay with the family now…just a little drama to start the night out…lol)
Have a terrific Tuesday and the guys will be back tomorrow.
Serious moment….
Usually I try not to be too serious on my blog. I post eye candy and news about my writing, because really who needs to be serious all the time, right? But a terrible trend is rocking our nation and it seems like lately it’s gotten even worse. Teenagers are killing themselves because of bullying. It’s not right that our young people feel the only way out is to die when other teens bully or harass them. No one, no matter whether you’re gay or straight, black, white, Asian, Native American…or Jewish, Christian, Muslim or other…should be made fun of or treated like less than others.
There are several causes out there we can support that help get the message out to kids that suicide isn’t the answer. The answer is to live and enjoy life. The best revenge against bullies is to go on and have a good life.
One blogger is looking for 500 comments on her blog…and she’ll donate a dollar for each comment up to $500 to two worthy projects. Here’s the information on her campaign:
Please help GLBTTQ youth by stopping by KatieBabs’ blog. For every comment
left, Katie is donating a dollar to the Matthew Shepard Foundation and to
The Trevor Project. Let’s help her raise 500 dollars for two desperately
needed organizations.

Also, as is mentioned in the above blog post, Dan Savage has started the ‘It Gets Better’ Project. Where LGBT adults can post their own videos on youtube about how bully affected them and how their lives are better now.
To Write Love on Her Arm is another such cause to help people find other alternatives besides suicide, addiction, and self-harm.
Please if you get a chance today, go check out these sites. Because we’re all in this together. When one teenager (or adult for that matter) kills themselves, we are that much less.
New Cover….

Here’s the cover for Shades of Dreams which will be out Dec. 12th. I got the release date wrong…lol. And like I said, Shades and Be The Air For You will be out in print (together) in mid-January, I believe. 🙂 Woo-hoo!
Someone asked me the other day about The Vanguard and one line there about the Prince’s blood having something strange in it, and then it was never addressed in the rest of the book. That’s my fault. It’s one of the plot ideas that either got away from me or I changed my mind about having in there and forgot to take it out. Sorry about that.
There was another question I wanted to answer, but for the life of me, I can’t remember what it was. Sorry, and as soon as I do, I’ll make sure to give my answer. I’ve been fighting a cold/sinus infection for the past week or so. I keep hoping it’ll go away soon, but it seems to want to stick around. At times, my brain is barely functioning…lol. And this morning is one of them.
I plan on doing a lot of writing this weekend, in between other obligations. So maybe I can get Voice for the Silent halfway or even all the way done by Sunday night. Wish me luck.
Have a great Friday and a marvelous weekend, everyone.
Wicked Wednesday….

Sorry about being a little late posting today. I got started working on the next installment of Geeks, and forgot the time. 🙂 I’m sure you don’t mind hearing that, huh?
I’m buzzing away on Voice for the Silent. It’s going really well and I’m happy with how the story is turning out. I fall in love with every one of my characters, but there’s something about Paine, one of the main characters in Voice that just grabs my heart strings. I’m really hoping you all will love him too when you get a chance to read his story.
Well, I’m going to get back to writing Chuck and Herb’s story. Have a great Hump day, everyone.
Not Seeing is Believing available now….

My second blind vampire story, Not Seeing is Believing, will be available tonight around 7pm. at Liquid Silver Books. I’ll put up a link to it as soon as I get one. 🙂 I hope you all enjoy Barry and Anthony. Their story doesn’t have a lot of angst in it. Both men have had time to deal with their baggage for the most part. It’s mostly just about them falling in love.
This happens to be one of my all-time favorite covers. April Martinez did a great job.
And don’t forget that Wolf’s Survival came out yesterday (actually Saturday) as well.
I’m working away on some stories. I mentioned last week that I started two new stories, or at least wrote down some scenes for two new stories. One of those stories is titled Voice for the Silent, and I worked like crazy on it over the weekend. I’m at around 11k right now. Woot! I’m not sure how long it’ll end up being, but the characters in this story are really talking to me. Julio is an investigation agent for the Humane Society. He tends to go undercover to bust dog fighting rings. Paine is a young guy whose uncle runs a dog fighting kennel. He does his best to take care of the dogs, but he can only do so much. It’s a story about learning to forgive oneself and move on past tragic beginnings.
I hope you all have a great Monday.
Wolf’s Survival available now….

Wolf’s Survival is available at Amber Allure right now. Woo-hoo!
Run over and check it out. 🙂 See why you fell in love with Jacob and Ollie in the first place. lol
Also, WS will be available in paperback sometime around the middle of October.
Windy Friday as well….

Wow…it’s really windy around here. Have to hold on to anything that might blow away…lol
Writing’s going well. I’m getting scenes written and getting closer to finishing , but of course, I took a few minutes out yesterday to start two new stories. Don’t know when I’ll get back to them. I had these four characters rushing around my mind, yelling at me to write their stories, and I didn’t want to lose what they already showed me. So I got the opening scene for both stories done. Now they’ll probably get set aside until I can get back to them. 🙂
I hope you all have a great Friday and a marvelous weekend.
Give me a few more minutes….
There’ll be a slight delay while I finish up the next installment of Why I Love Geeks. It will be posted today, just later than usual. 🙂Windy, Wet Wednesday

It is Wednesday, right? Why can’t it be Friday all ready? Darn it.
It’s kind of a blah day and that’s how I feel, so I’m afraid I have nothing to say…lol. Writing is coming along and edits are happening. That’s about it.
I hope you all have a great day. Hopefully it’s sunny where you are. 🙂
Wow…what a weekend….

Had a great weekend. Went to see Buckcherry, Three Days Grace, and Nickleback on Saturday. Woot! It was awesome. Those guys know how to put on an amazing concert.
Actually, didn’t get much writing done at all this week, so it’s back to the grind today. 😉 But I don’t mind.
I hope you all had a great weekend and try to enjoy Monday…lol
