Rainy Days and Monday…

lol…It’s a Monday and it’s rainy here. Rainy Days and Mondays by The Carpenters came on my Itouch just as I was getting to work and I have to admit it’s a fitting song. 🙂

I spent the weekend ripping drywall and paneling out of a friend’s house. Fun times. So today, I’m sore and running around like a chicken with its head cut off, making sure everything is done at my office because I leave tomorrow for my retreat and if things fall apart, they can’t get a hold of me. (which is good in a way…lol)

I hope you all had a great weekend and I hope your Monday is sunny and warmer than mine.

Another Try-More Eye Candy

Since I’m just playing around to see if I can figure out this whole scheduling thing, I thought I’d give you some more eye candy.

Hopefully this works and you are having a great Saturday.

Fun Friday

I’m trying something new. I’m going to schedule this post to see if it’ll post on time. That way I don’t have to worry about doing it. If this works, I should be able to plan three installments of Bitter Creek without panicking…lol.

I don’t know if it’ll work. If I can’t figure it out, I have a back-up plan in mind. 🙂

Which it didn’t post when it should have. So I’ll try it again with a post tomorrow and see if I can get it to work.

I hope you all have a great Friday and an awesome weekend.

Wednesday’s Wow…

Happy Hump Day! The week is almost half over. Wow..does it seem like the first part of this year is speeding by?

Writing is going well. Got some more added to a couple different stories. 🙂 I’m having Writer’s ADD at the moment. Can’t really focus all of my attention on one story, so I’m working on a couple to keep me interested.

Oh, btw, I wanted to let you all know that I’ll be going out of town for business next week. I leave after work on Tuesday and won’t be back until May 3. I’m hoping I’ll be able to have internet, but I’m not counting on it. It’s like a retreat thingie where I’ll be “locked” away without any contact with the outside world…unless I can be sneaky about it. I’m going to see if I can’t figure out how to schedule a post. If I can, you just might still get Bitter Creek installments while I’m gone. If not, I guess you’ll just have to wait.

I just wanted you all to know, so no one panics when I don’t post for a week or so. Nothing’s wrong, just work related. Ugh! 🙂

Hope you all have a great day.

Monday Blahs

I’ll admit, I didn’t do anything all weekend. Played golf on Saturday and hung out with friends. Sunday was reserved for family. 🙂 Saw people I only see once a year…lol.

Since I was lazy, I don’t have a new poem or anything new to report on the writing side.

But T at International Heat has an interview with me today….about books and authors I like. Check it out.

I hope you all had a great weekend. Enjoy the eye candy. (Less fattening than all that Easter candy)

Another Friday….

Another Friday is here and the sun is actually shining…lol. We’ll see how long that lasts. 🙂

Got both sets of edits done for Tabloid Star and Dreaming of Dragons. Neither were too bad.

If you’re looking for something to waste time with, stop by DIK again today because I’m chatting about my heroes and heroes in general. There just might be a prize to be given away to one lucky commenter. 🙂

I hope you have a great Friday.

Friday Update…

Well, it’s a raining Friday here, but I guess I shouldn’t complain too much…at least it’s not snowing. 🙂

Writing is going well. I’m plugging away at His Heart’s Home mostly, but I have done a little work on two others. In addition, I have my first set of edits to finish up on Death or Life, and I just got my first set of edits on Tabloid Star. So I’ll probably be doing edits most of the weekend. Yay!…lol. Actually I don’t mind doing them.

I just saw the cover art for Death or Life and Anne Cain has done it again, everyone. She’s managed to get just the right feeling of suspense and sexiness that I think you (as the reader) will feel with this book.

She’s doing my cover for Dreaming of Dragons as well and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with on that one. For anyone who is still wondering, DoD will be available some time in May, I believe. No firm dates yet and the month/date is always subject to change, but May was what I was hitting for.

Also, Allergies will be out this weekend, April 5th to be exact. I’ll make sure to post the link as soon as it goes live. In addition, it’ll be available in print by the end of the month…if you’d like ot have your own personal print copy of it.

Hmmm…let’s see, I think I covered everything so far. lol I hope you all have a great day and weekend. Though stop back on Sunday and I’ll have a little excerpt from Allergies for you all. 🙂

Darn it…

Big importune creative meeting called. I’ll try to post Bitter Creek as soon as I can, but it might not be until late. 🙁

Enjoy the eye candy though.

Excerpt Monday..

Here’s another excerpt from His Heart’s Home. (I’ll be coming up with a blurb soon, so everyone can know what the story’s about. I promise..lol)

Excerpt (Unedited & uncontracted):

“You wound me,” he pouted, reaching out to tug on Derek’s jeans. “I really don’t want you to get sick.”

“So wet country singers get you hot, huh?”

Derek stripped the t-shirt off first, letting the soggy fabric hit Max in the face when he dropped it.

“Only if it’s you.”

Sitting up, Max tore off his own shirt, thanking God that he wore one with snaps instead of buttons. He flung it to the side just as Derek straddled him and pushed him back.

“Omphf…”

Derek followed him down and crushed their lips together. He speared his fingers through those brown curls he loved to touch. He dueled with Derek over who would control the kiss, but when Derek bit his bottom lip hard, he yielded.

While he sucked on Derek’s tongue that got swept into to tease his, he rocked his hips up against Derek’s groin.

He tore his mouth away and swore, “Shit. I want you to fuck me.”

Derek shook his head. “Can’t. No condoms or lube.”

“Fuck. Guess maybe I need to start packing those in my saddle bags then,” he joked.

“It’s all right.”

He trailed his hands over Derek’s shoulders and down his chest to twist those nipples when Derek reared up on his knees. Devouring his lover with his gaze, he watched the man struggle to open his jeans and push the sides out of the way as his cock sprang free of its confinement. He sucked in his breath at the sight of that thick shaft. He really wanted to feel Derek riding him with it, but that would have to wait.

“Hey.”

“Ouch.” Max rubbed his chest where Derek had pinched him. “What?”

“Help me get yours out and then we can have a little fun.”

His eyes lit up. There wouldn’t be any fucking or sucking, but there could be some jerking and rubbing. They would both be able to come and he’d be able to ride fence without causing serious injury to himself.

Fumbling together, they managed to uncover his own cock and they sighed as their heated flesh brushed against each other. He wrapped his hand around their shafts and Derek joined him, stroking hard and fast.

“Oh God,” Derek cried out.

Max pumped the way he liked it with a little twist of his palm over the heads, gathering the pre-cum pooling there. Somehow, Derek bent to kiss him without breaking their connection. He tasted the coffee and bacon the singer had for breakfast. Nibbling along Derek’s bottom lip, he trailed his kisses over the stubble-covered chin to his neck.

Derek’s head dropped back, giving him more skin to play with. He scraped his teeth over the man’s jugular and Derek jerked.

“Max, soon,” Derek warned.

“Come on, baby,” Max growled and squeezed.

“Ah,” Derek grunted as heat spilled over Max’s hand onto his stomach.

As the hot liquid washed over his cock, Max let his control go and came, adding his to the mess. Derek collapsed on him, trapping their hands and pricks between their bodies.

Wincing, Max wiggled and shimmied until their hands were free. He threaded the fingers of his clean hand through Derek’s hair and stared up into the blue sky. The strangest feeling of contentment swelled in him and he imagined that this was the most relaxed he’d been in a long time. Since he left Sydney for America, he’d been searching for elusive happiness and though he knew the relationship he had with Derek wasn’t going to end well, he would grab what he could before the singer had to go back to the real world.

Yay!

Thank goodness it’s Friday. Only seven more hours before it’s officially the weekend. 🙂

Not much to report….working is coming along wonderfully on all three of the stories I’m working on. His Heart’s Home is the one that’s the furtherest along at 31k, The Uprising (urban fantasy/post nuclear war) is at 11k and Feast of Dusan (based on a Christmas carol) is at 8k. While I focus most of my attention on HHH, I do try to do a little bit of writing on the other two, just to keep my imagination fresh. 🙂

I hope everyone has a great weekend. 🙂
