ARe’s Hottest Hero Contest

Good morning! I wanted to let you all know Chuck Davidson from Why I Love Geeks is up for ARe’s Hottest Hero contest. Voting in Round 1 is opened now and runs through July 6th. 🙂 Run over there and check all 32 heroes out. There are quite a few awesome heroes listed.

Click here to check it out.

Also, scroll down for today’s installment of The Longest Stride. 🙂

Have a great and safe 4th of July weekend.

It’s raining…

here…and it’s dark and gloomy. Ugh! I hate Mondays like this, but the great news is I only have 47 more days left. Yep…I’m quitting my job to write full time. 😀 I’m excited and nervous about it all at the same time. Starting Jan. 3rd, I’ll be working from home…which in a way makes me really happy because I won’t have to drive in the snow unless I really want to…lol. Hopefully, it means even more books out as well.

I made good progress on Falling in Love…Again, but it doesn’t seem to be flowing quite right. It’s one of those things where it just feels off. It’s hard to explain. 🙂 But while I was trying to fall asleep last night, I came up with a really good story line that I’m going to start working on and with just a little tweaking, it’ll be perfect for the PAX that is due on Dec. 1. As soon as I get a title and flesh out the story line, I’ll let you all know about what it’s about.

Oh, and there’s a contest going on at ARe, Just One Bite Short Story Contest. Our wonderful friend, Jambrea, has a story in the running. If you haven’t already voted, maybe you could stop by and check out all four stories. Vote for the ones you like in each bracket. Here’s the link. You have to register at ARe (If you don’t already have an ‘account’ there) Thanks for taking the time out to look at them. 🙂

Have a great Monday. Hope it’s nicer where you are.

Almost the weekend…

Shoot..where did the morning go? I got to work and haven’t stopped since…except for right now, when I’m posting this…lol.

Let’s see…I have a book coming out this Sunday. Soothe the Burn, a sci-fi/futuristic about a man made of metal and a man made of fire. 🙂 I’ll post the blurb and an except on Sunday for everyone.

The dynamic team that makes up Jamie Craig is running a contest on their Live Journal for you to win a copy of Soothe the Burn. Drop in and leave a comment. They’ll draw a name on Sunday night and you’ll get a free a copy. This is something that they do to promote their publishers and it just so happens they picked my book to give away this week. 🙂

Also, I did an interview with Martha and she reviewed ND: Finding Love as well. Stop by her blog and check it out. Martha loved Finding Love

I just got word about another awesome review I received. This one from Holly at Whipped Cream Reviews. It’s for Tabloid Star and she gave me 5 cherries. Woo-hoo! I’m totally thrilled that she loved it.

oh, one more thing…and you’re thinking “Shut up all ready. I just want to stare at the eye candy.” lol. I have two guest bloggers coming up on Monday. Bonnie Dee and Summer Devon are going to be discussing their newest release, Seducing Stephen. A m/m regency available at Loose-Id with a marvelous cover by Anne Cain. 🙂

Hmmm…that’s all I can think about telling you today. I plan on writing as much as possible tomorrow, so I can spend most of the day on Sunday watching Super Bowl stuff. 🙂

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Contest…

No, you don’t get to win this gorgeous man. You get a chance to win a Kindle pre-loaded with some great Samhain authors. 🙂 If you run over to my editor’s blog, and answer the question, you’ll be entered in to win. Trust me, if you’re a regular visitor to my blog, you’ll know the answer without any problem. Also, I did a little interview for the contest as well, so you can learn some new things about me.

Oh, I got the cover for Freaks in Love and it’s awesome. I’ll share it with you all on Monday. I think Trace did another marvelous job.

Hmmm…what else? Writing is going well. I’m making progress on some different stories and that makes me happy.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.

Guest Blogger-Vivian Arend

Vivian Arend is hosting a Cowboy Countdown Contest and she’s popped in today to ask us to join her in getting ready for her latest release, Rocky Mountain Heat coming August 31st to Liquid Silver Books. And she’s got a question for us:

Do you own a cowboy hat and boots?

T.A.: I’ll answer first. I have a cowboy hat. A very nice black one with a black and silver hat band. 🙂 No boots though. Hmm…wonder if I should get some chaps. lol

Welcome to the Six Pack Ranch, where one sweet young thing plus the Coleman boys equals trouble with a capital T.

Six Pack Ranch, Book 1

Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when trouble’s a blonde wearing a cowboy hat with slim legs that go on forever, what’s a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. Hell, he was the one that taught her to ride a horse and now all he can think about is riding her. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.

Jaxi has other plans for his hands, and his heart. She may have considered Blake a big brother once but that was a long time ago. She’s all grown up now and ready to convince him that she’s just what he’s been waiting for.

Add the complication of two sexy younger brothers who have suddenly noticed Jaxi and things heat up fast. Blake’s gonna have to decide if a little trouble is worth fighting for.

Answer the question in the comments to be entered to win the prize in the Cowboy Countdown. You can also visit Where Dreams Become Reality for more chances to win.

Poetry Train #90

Eyes

Dark eyes peering from behind a fringe of black hair, he meets my gaze with a grin. The tilt of his head and the movement of his hips entice me closer. I reach out, trailing my fingers over his shoulder and down his chest, ending at the waist of his jeans. Hooking my finger in a belt loop, I tug him closer. His arms settle around my waist and I nuzzle his neck, breathing in the salty scent of sweat and male. Our bodies rock and rub to the driving beat of the music filling the club we dance in. He sighs, leaning into me, and I know, I’ll be going home with him tonight.

Don’t forget to stop by my editor’s blog for today’s contest.

Valentine’s Contest

My marvelous editor at Samhain, Tera, is running a contest with her authors. Here’s the details.

The fun starts on February 3! The dates, authors, and the books they will be posting excerpts from are below, followed by the contest rules.

February 3, 2009 = Danielle Devon, Divinity in Chains

February 4, 2009 = T.A. Chase, Out of Bounds

February 5, 2009 = Rita Oberlies, The Catcher and the Lie

February 6, 2009 = Kimberly Nee, Eden’s Pass

February 7, 2009 = Dawn Brown, Living Lies

February 8, 2009 = Lexi Adair, Rockstar

February 9, 2009 = Avery Beck, Sexy by Design

February 10, 2009 = Angelle Trieste, Devil Falls

February 11, 2009 = Lissa Matthews, Pink Buttercream Frosting

February 12, 2009 = Denise Belinda McDonald, Second Chances

February 13, 2009 = Kelly Jamieson, Friends with Benefits

In case you’ve forgotten what exactly the contest entails, let’s remind y’all. =) The authors will be posting an excerpt from each of the above-listed stories. And where they stop, you will begin. You will continue writing the story as you see it, or would like to see it, up to two-hundred and fifty words. A winner will be chosen from the entries each day, and at the end, on February 14, a grand prize winner will be chosen.

Stop by here and flex your writing muscles. It’s my turn today. I’m giving away a copy of Out of Bounds, but I’m willing to be flexible if you win today and already own a copy. 🙂 Also, remember you’ll be entered into a drawing for the big grand prize which is a lot of great stuff from all these authors. 🙂

I hope you stop by Tera’s blog and participate.

Have a great day.

Happy Wednesday

Hey, it’s the middle of the week already…lol. 🙂 That’s great except we’re having snow here. Yuck! I’m ready for spring and summer to come along.

Writing is going well. I finished and subbed Tabloid Star. First book subbed in 2009. Woo-hoo! Now I have to finish His Heart’s Home and Nick of Time before I start anything else. I have a bunch of stories lined up to work on this entire year, so we’ll see how fast I can get them done and submitted to my publishers.

Don’t forget, if you haven’t seen it yet, Hearts Afire: January, featuring my story Where the Devil Dances, is available at Liquid Silver Books now. 🙂

And if you’re visiting for the first time as well, I want to remind everyone that if you’re sign up for my newsletter, you’ll be entered in a monthly contest I have. I drew a name on Monday for the fireman’s calendar. On Feb. 17th, I’ll be drawing a new name for a different prize package…which includes a beautiful necklace and matching bracelet, an autographed copy of No Going Home and a few extra items that go with my upcoming release, High Line (which will be out on Feb. 17th.)

Hmmm…well, I think I’ve done enough rambling. Enjoy the eye candy and stay warm for those in the North. 🙂 Have a great day.

Poetry Train #78

Why do I love you?

Why do I love you?
There’s nothing special about you.
You’re average in every way.

But when you laugh,
You make me smile.

When you cry,
You make me hurt.

When you touch,
You turn me on.

When you love me,
You steal my heart.

Why do I love you?
To me you are everything
I’ve wanted.

Sorry, no Storm scene today. My narrator decided not to talk to me..lol.

Stop by Monday Poetry Train to check out who else is has jumped on board.

Also, I’m running a contest for the month of November. It’s for members of my newsletter. (Don’t worry…if you sign up for my newsletter-the link thing is on the sidebar-you won’t be overwhelmed with emails from me. I think the most I’ve done is maybe three during a month. It depends on if I have a release or not.) To celebrate my upcoming release, Bound by Love, I’m giving away a 2009 calendar titled Studs ‘N Spurs. Hot cowboys, what more can you ask for? lol. You have until Dec. 2nd to enter and I’ll draw the name of the winner then. Oh and so you know, I’m running basically the same contest for the month of December, only I’ll be giving away a New York Firemen calendar to celebrate the release of my January book, Where the Devil Dances. 🙂
