Archive for Falling in Love…Again

Windy Wednesday

So I figured out that Falling in Love…Again wasn’t working out. Something about it just didn’t feel right, though I have gotten quite a bit written on it. I decided to set it aside for now and work on something else for the Dec. 1st deadline.

In walks Ronnie and Lucius, and their story, Embrace My Reflection. Ronnie’s a cross-dresser who works at a cabaret in New Orleans, and Lucius is a NOPD detective and also was Ronnie’s first lover back in high school. (Actually they only made love once before Lucius left for the army) Ronnie’s having a problem with a stalker and Lucius comes to help him out.

I started it Monday night and already have over 8k written on it. Woot! It’s really flowing for me and this time, the story feels right. I’m hoping to get at least 20k for it, but we’ll see where it ends up. 🙂 I will come back to Falling in Love…Again, but probably not for a little while until I work out what’s wrong with the story…lol.

Tonight, I have to get the next installment of Geeks done, then it’ll be back to working on Embrace.

I hope you all have a great day. 🙂

It’s raining…

here…and it’s dark and gloomy. Ugh! I hate Mondays like this, but the great news is I only have 47 more days left. Yep…I’m quitting my job to write full time. 😀 I’m excited and nervous about it all at the same time. Starting Jan. 3rd, I’ll be working from home…which in a way makes me really happy because I won’t have to drive in the snow unless I really want to…lol. Hopefully, it means even more books out as well.

I made good progress on Falling in Love…Again, but it doesn’t seem to be flowing quite right. It’s one of those things where it just feels off. It’s hard to explain. 🙂 But while I was trying to fall asleep last night, I came up with a really good story line that I’m going to start working on and with just a little tweaking, it’ll be perfect for the PAX that is due on Dec. 1. As soon as I get a title and flesh out the story line, I’ll let you all know about what it’s about.

Oh, and there’s a contest going on at ARe, Just One Bite Short Story Contest. Our wonderful friend, Jambrea, has a story in the running. If you haven’t already voted, maybe you could stop by and check out all four stories. Vote for the ones you like in each bracket. Here’s the link. You have to register at ARe (If you don’t already have an ‘account’ there) Thanks for taking the time out to look at them. 🙂

Have a great Monday. Hope it’s nicer where you are.

Ugh!!!

It’s Monday. That’s about all I have to say about today…lol.

But it was a good weekend. I got Voice for the Silent almost finished. I’ve got another 3k or so to do. I have to finish up one sex scene and write another. After that, I have to do the synopsis before sending it off to the publisher. Woo-hoo! Then I’ll start working on Falling in Love…Again and Destroying Belief. Both stories got put on the back burning when Julio and Paine burst on the scene and wanted to tell me their story right now.

Of course, I got another idea over the weekend and did a little thinking on it. I haven’t written much down, but it’ll get put on the list to be written. 🙂

Let’s see…nothing else amazing happened to me, so I’ll just say have a great Monday, everyone.

Wicked Wednesday…

okay…so this picture isn’t particularly wicked, but there’s just something about it I like. 🙂 Maybe it’s how young and innocent he looks, even though you know underneath he’s not…lol. Or at least you’d like to imagine he’s not.

I finished Shades of Dreams and submitted it to Amber Allure. It’ll be out on Dec. 5th. Early Christmas present for everyone. 🙂 Also, the print version which will feature Be the Air for You as well, will be out in the middle of January and will be titled Air and Dreams (that might change, though my publisher didn’t say anything negative when I told him what I wanted to call the print antho.)

Now I’m focusing on Falling in Love…Again and Destroying Belief. Both are moving along quite well. Yay!

That’s all I have to say for today…lol. Have a great Wednesday, everyone.

Friday Kisses….

Thank goodness, it’s the weekend…or almost. I can’t wait to get home tonight and veg for two days. Though that doesn’t mean I won’t be writing.

I’m working on three stories at the moment (like I said) One is Shades of Dreams, trying to get it done asap for everyone. The second one is Destroying Belief, a regency that takes place in Venice during Carnival. And the third is Falling in Love…Again, a reunion story. FiLA and DB need to be in by Dec. 1…which is why I chose to work on them first, but I admit, I’m working a little bit on a bunch of different stories. Sometimes my mind won’t settle on one, so I make it happy by skipping around. It makes finishing stories a little slower, but I still manage to get them one…lol

Someone asked why Amazon has Book one and book three of my Home series, but not book two. Well, it takes a while for books to get uploaded from the Mobi site onto Amazon. That’s the only reason I can think of….though I’m not sure why the third one is on there already. Sorry about that.

I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.
