Happy Memorial Day

Thank you to every man and woman who has ever served, is serving, and is thinking about serving our country. I honor you for your courage and love for this country.
Thank you again.
Postponed….

due to two minor issues. I didn’t get home until really late last night, so I wasn’t able to schedule the next installment of Wolf’s Survival. Then I was in such a rush to leave for work this morning, I forgot my flash drive that has WS on it at home.
So unfortunately installment #22 will be up tomorrow for everyone to enjoy before the holiday weekend. đ
Sorry about that, folks. Have a great Thursday anyway.
New Cover alert….

This is the cover for my newest upcoming release from Amber Allure. It’s part of the Working Stiffs series that Amber Allure put a call out for a couple months ago. So all the books with this theme will have the same cover. Pretty yummy, huh?
Here’s the blurb for Lift Your Voice:
Brandon McCollugh returns home after a road-side bomb ends his military career and takes his lower left leg. Learning to walk again is accompanied by trying to find a purpose in life for him. A job with the local landscaper, planting flowers and getting dirty helps Bran rebuild his confidence. Meeting Don opens possibilities for a future Bran never imagined.
Getting kicked out of his very religious, ultra conservative family at the age of sixteen, Donald Frost worked hard to be more than his parents condemned him to be. He teaches music at the local high school and sings at his uncleâs church, satisfied that his life is the best it can be. Then Bran comes home, and Don decides itâs time to grab his own happiness.
When the two men meet, itâs instant attraction changing their lives forever.
The moment I get an actual release date, I’ll let everyone know. đ Also, Carol and I have re-arranged our books and are working on a different one than we planned. Instead of Ancient Protectors, we’re working on The Haunting of St. Xavier. St. Xavier will be out at the end of August, so you’ll be two books from us in August. Woo-hoo! We do plan on writing Ancient Protector, but it’ll be after July. AP is scheduled for a January release at the moment, but of course, like all things, that can change.
I hope you all have a great Wednesday.
Wolf’s Survival

Part Twenty-One-
Bellaâs barking alerted Oliver that a truck was coming up the drive. Jacob had gone out to the herd, though he said heâd be back when the Bureau agent showed. Oliver smiled at the way Jacob had growled at him after heâd told his lover he didnât need Jacob to hold his hand. He was an adult, used to doing things on his own. Jacob had yanked him into his arms and kissed him, hard and possessively. Oliverâs mind had melted and heâd forgotten what they were arguing about until after Jacob left.
The vehicle stopped and turned off. Oliver pushed open the front door, stepping out on the porch. The dogs had the man surrounded while Bella joined Oliver.
âLeave him be,â Oliver ordered.
The dogs ignored him and he frowned. He started to head out, but Bella sat in front of him, blocking his access to the stairs.
âBella, what are you doing?â
âWhat sheâs trained to do, protect you.â Jacob stalked around the corner of the house. His low whistle brought the dogs to him. âIâm Jacob Tasker.â
The agent didnât offer to shake hands with Jacob. âIâm going to pull my ID from my pocket.â
Jacob inclined his head, like a king granting a boon to a subject. Oliver rolled his eyes.
âWhen youâre done playing king of the manor, could you escort Agent Michaels in? I have coffee ready.â
Oliver whirled around and strolled in the house, trying hard not to stomp and act like a child. Christ, the manâs arrogance was enough to try the patience of a saint, and Oliver never claimed to be one of those.
âI appreciate you letting me come out here, Mr. Tasker. I need to talk to Mr. Wingate about the attack, but I donât think heâd be welcomed back in Red Cliff.â
Agent Michaels looked older than Jacob, around fifty or so. His short hair streaked with gray, plus the lines around his mouth spoke of long and lonely hours spent searching out killers, robbers, and just plain evil people. The agent managed to keep himself in shape, but there was weariness about him that made Oliver want to hug Michaels and offer him a place to relax for a while.
âI donât trust those redneck assholes any further than I could throw them,â Jacob snarled.
âProbably a good idea. If I wasnât used to keeping an eye out for an attack, Iâd probably have ended up dead in a ravine somewhere near by.â Agent Michaels turned to greet Oliver. âMr. Wingate, Iâm glad to see youâre doing well.â
âAgent Michaels.â Oliver offered his hand. âThank you for driving all the way out here.â
âNo problem, and please, call me Andrew.â
âAnd you can call me Oliver.â He grinned at Andrew, ignoring the way Jacob loomed beside them. âPlease come in and sit down. Would you like some coffee?â
âI would love some. Thank you.â Andrew sat down, tugging a notebook from his inside pocket.
âDo you take sugar, or milk,â he called over his shoulder as he went into the kitchen.
âJust black.â
Oliver reached up to pull out some coffee mugs. He hid his smile as Jacob crowded him against the counter.
âWhat the hell are you doing?â Jacob growled, pressing his lips against Oliverâs ear.
âIâm just being nice to Agent Michaels since weâre inconveniencing him by making him come all the way out here.â He leaned back, allowing Jacob to take his weight.
Jacob wrapped Oliver into a strong embrace, nuzzling Oliverâs neck. âIt better be just being friendly. I donât share at all, Ollie. Remember that.â
Turning around, he stared at Jacob with just as fierce a glare as his lover gave him. âI donât share either. I might not be big or scary like you, but I will fight for whatâs mine.â
The stunned look on Jacobâs face confused him. Was Jacob surprised that Oliver would be so possessive or was it the fact that someone would be willing to fight for him that shocked Jacob?
âOkay. Now that weâve established weâre in a serious monogamous relationship, we shouldnât leave our guest waiting.â
Jacob grabbed him and kissed him hard, biting his bottom lip and soothing it with his tongue. As much as Oliver wanted to lose himself in Jacobâs arms, the Bureau couldnât be put off anymore. He pushed away and shook his head at the handsome man.
âStop that. Take the coffee into the living room.â
He pushed the tray into Jacobâs hands, and shoved him toward the other room. After Jacob left, Oliver gave himself a hard thump. He didnât want to get interviewed while sitting there with a hard-on.
Wandering in, he found Jacob telling Agent Michaels who he thought was responsible for the attack on Oliver.
âCheck out Von Hausling. Heâs an idiot and wouldnât have any problem beating a man smaller than him. Also, heâs a coward. If Oliver had been armed, he never would have attacked him.â Jacobâs teeth were clenched, and his hands fisted on his thighs.
âYou said you had pictures of Oliverâs injuries. Do you have a doctorâs report?â Andrew wrote Jacobâs report down.
âYes. Iâll go get them.â
They watched Jacob leave the room before Andrew turned to Oliver.
âSeems a bit protective of you,â Andrew commented.
Oliver ducked his head and blushed. âWell, he tends to get possessive of things that linger on his property. I think he begins to claim them as his. Comes from not leaving the place very often.â
âYou know, I did a background check on Jacob Tasker.â
While Oliverâs curiosity was peaked, he didnât raise to the bait. Whatever Jacob wanted Oliver to know, Jacob could tell him. He wasnât going to learn it from a stranger.
Oliver smiled blandly. âYou wouldnât be doing your job if you didnât check on him.â
âArenât you interested in knowing the man who rescued you?â
âNot if he doesnât want to tell me.â
A noise drew his attention and he saw Jacob standing just inside the entrance from the hallway. The way the manâs head was tilted, Oliver knew heâd heard the exchange between Oliver and Andrew. Jacob walked over and handed Andrew a file.
Passing Oliver, he stopped and cupped the back of Oliverâs head, bringing their mouths together.
âThank you,â Jacob whispered against his lips.
âYouâre welcome.â He knew exactly what Jacob was thanking him for.
Yawn….It’s Monday

Wow…where did the weekend go? lol…busy and I’ve got a huge sunburn. Ugh! I hate it. đ But at least my lawn looks good.
Did some writing. Not as much as I’d like, but I had a few other things to get done over the weekend. So I’m hoping to pick up the slack this week.
Not much else to talk about.
I hope you all have a great Monday.
Out of Light into Darkness….

So I told you on Wednesday that Total e-Bound contracted my other blind vampire story, Out of Light into Darkness. I’ve got a release date of Oct. 4th for it, but like all dates, nothing’s set in stone until it actually comes out…lol. đ
I thought I’d share the unedited blurb with you all. Here you go:
In a world where humans are treated like cattle by vampires, one human must find the courage to love and help the vampire who owns him.
Andorâs been a vampire for centuries and has never experienced weakness in his long life. Yet something runs through his blood, bringing darkness to his sight and his world. His herd of humans has been compromised by a rival, yet there is one man whose blood remains pure. Unfortunately for Andor, Sven ran away from him months ago.
Sven left Andorâs herd when he realised Andor would never see him as anything other than a blood donor. Being dragged back like a spoiled child doesnât set well with him until he discovers Andor needs him.
Blindness and danger swirls around Andor and Sven as they deal with their own attraction. Will Svenâs blood and love be enough to keep Andor from slipping into the darkness threatening to claim the vampire?
I did some writing yesterday, so all in all, it was a good day.
I hope you all have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.
Oops…

Sorry, everyone. I got busy filling out some contract stuff and totally lost track of time…lol.
Yes, I’ll have some good news as soon as the ‘papers’ get signed. đ Writing went well this weekend. Carol and I finished our second book, Anarchy in Blood. I didn’t get quite as much written on my other story as I wanted, but that’s okay. I’m only about 3k or so from hitting my goal, so it won’t be much longer for this book. Woot! Then it’s head-first into another story. No rest for the wicked, huh? đ
I hope you all have a great Monday.
New Cover alert….

Isn’t it the most beautiful cover ever? đ Of course, I say that about each new cover I get. But April Martinez outdid herself on this one, I think. It fits in perfectly with the story, which I’ll admit I was afraid wouldn’t be possible, but I should have known April would be able to do it….lol. Shame on me for doubting her or any other cover artist.
I’ve been a writing fool lately. I’ve gotten 11k done in the past two days and I’m hoping the trend will continue. Trying to finish up two books over the weekend. One should be easy to do since it’s the second one I’m writing with Carol Lynne. We only have another chapter or two to get done. Yay!
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday and a marvelous weekend.
Wednesday Wisdom…

What sort of wisdom do I have to impart today?
Have no fear of perfection, you’ll never reach it- Salvador Dali
It does sound like something he would say, I think. And it’s the truth. No one will ever be perfect, so while I may strive for it, I’m not going to drive myself crazy trying to attain it. đ
Just the wanderings of my mind as I get ready to start work today. I’m hoping to sneak in some writing time as I go along today. If not, I’ll be writing tonight.
I hope you all have a sensational Wednesday.
