Wicked Wednesday

Yesterday was a good day. I got 3k done on Borderline and got some ideas for the book I have to work on next.

Also, I found out I was nominated for two awards in the Love Romance Cafe awards. Best Science Fiction/Fantasy Romance with Soothe the Burn, and Best Book Overall with Bastet. I guess I’m always amazed when people like my books so much, they nominate them for awards…lol. 🙂

Well, back to work. Have a great day, everyone.

End of the week.

Yay…it’s Friday. Not that it really means much for me in a way…lol. Working from home means every day is pretty much the same. At least during the winter. 🙂 But still I’m happy to hit the weekend. I think we’ll be going to see The King’s Speech (if it opens in all theaters this weekend). I love Colin Firth and it looks like a really good movie.

I’m hoping to hit the halfway mark on Borderline today, if not go over it by the end of the day. But we’ll see. I have to run some errands and I’m meeting a friend for dinner tonight. That’ll be fun.

Well, I hope you all have a great Friday and a marvelous weekend.

Wednesday Hunk

I’m going to have to go shovel the driveway at some point today, I guess….though I don’t plan on going any where today…lol.

Progress is being made on Borderline. I’m hoping to have it done by the end of the month, if not sooner. Also, I just got the okay to go ahead and write a four book paranormal series for Total e-Bound. Woot! So I’m going to have to start working on those as well. When I get blurbs and stuff written up for them, I’ll post them.

Hmmm….other than that, I plan on staying inside where it’s nice and warm. 🙂 I hope you all are safe and sound wherever you are.

Have a wonderfully warm Wednesday.

Happy Tuesday

Okay, so I’m thinking that I might be able to start a new blog story either next week or the week after that. It depends on how my other writing goes. 🙂

Carol and I are finishing up The Haunting of St. Xavier’s for Total e-Bound and that is tentatively scheduled for a February release. (As you know all dates are subject to change…lol) Also, I just contracted a romantic suspense with Loose-Id which means I now have to finish writing it. I have eight chapters to add, and I want to get it done by the end of this month. I’ll be moving it up to the top of my list for now. As soon as I get the signed contract back, I’ll tell you more about it. 🙂

So far this writing full time thing is going pretty good. We’ll see how I feel next week when C’s gone all week, and I haven’t seen a real person for three days…lmao. Then I might change my mind.

I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday.

First Day of New "Job"

Well, today is the true first day of my staying home and writing full time. I’ve been writing all weekend as well. 🙂 So far it’s felt like it was just a vacation. Now we’ll see how well this goes…lol.

I added about 4k or so to my new YA book, Deepest Cut, over the weekend, plus I worked on the book I’m writing with Carol Lynne. We’re hoping to have it finished by Friday. Actually that’s a doable deadline. We’re in the homestretch of the story now. 🙂

I hope you all have a great Monday.

Last Week of the Year

Well, Christmas is behind us. I hope everyone had a good and safe holiday.

I thought I’d get some writing done over the weekend, but ended up not doing much of anything except spending time with friends and family. 🙂

But it’s back to the grindstone this week. I have to finish up one book and write half a chapter on another one. Plus do edits on one. Woot!

I hope you all have a great Monday.

Self-employed now

and that could explain why I’m later than usual in posting something on my blog…lol. I decided to sleep in today. 🙂 When C headed out to work, he said he would guess how many words I wrote today between 0-4k. He knows me. I can’t take a day off, not really. I’ll probably write something today, even if I thought that I would take a little vacation…lol.

I’ve been working on a few different stories. One is a YA story about a kid whose best friend shots up their school, and he has to deal with the aftermath. Also, the poor kid has other issues, like being bullied in school, and he self-mutilates (cuts). I think it’s going to be an emotional one, but Charlie (my hero) is really talking to me. He really wants his story told.

I hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Last Monday….

for working at my day job. 🙂

I got really busy over the weekend, so I didn’t get to write up any blurbs for you all to read. But I’ll try to get at least one of them done tonight for tomorrow. lol. Of course, I hate writing blurbs along with synopsis. But they’re a necessary evil, I guess. 😀

I hope you all had a great weekend.

Friday Hottie

Woo-hoo! It’s Friday. That leaves me only two more days at work. Weekends don’t count since I don’t work them…lol. 🙂

Cynthia’s blurb suggestion sounds fun, so I’m going to try and come up with blurbs for some of the stories I’m working on. I’ll post them to give you all an idea of what’s coming up….though you’ll have to remember most of them won’t be finished and don’t have a release date yet. 😀

I hope you all have a great Friday and a marvelous weekend.

What to say?

Hmm…this not having a blog story to take up Tuesday and Thursday is making it difficult to think of what to say. Not much is happening around here. Just writing.

So C and I decided we weren’t going to get each other anything for Christmas because we buy whatever we want through out the year anyway. I picked up a couple of books for him for his birthday which is next week, but I hadn’t planned on getting him anything else. He tells me today he wants a new Ipod for Christmas. (He broke his last one. Shattered the face and now it only works when plugged into the computer. Pointless for using in a car.) I said fine. Let me know when you want to pick it up. Then he tells me I have to come up with stuff for him to get me since he can’t be the only one opening stuff up on Christmas. (Like he’d wait that long to start using it…lol)

I told everyone else who asked me what I wanted for Christmas to donate to their favorite charity and just get me a card, telling me where they donated. I don’t need anything really, and as for wanting stuff, I can’t think of anything I really want. Then I figured it out. He’s going to get me a new Ipod as well. (The button on mine doesn’t work anymore and it quits at the weirdest times. Just stops playing and goes back to the main screen. Rebooted and restored it a few times. Hasn’t fixed anything.) Though I didn’t want a camera in mine, but C tells me all the new Ipods come with cameras. Oh fine. It’s not like I take millions of pictures anyway, but hey, maybe I’ll start taking them when I’m at conventions…lol.

We have to go out and finish up the Christmas shopping this weekend. Yay! lol Can’t wait for that. I have all my nieces and nephews to buy for. The adults are done.

I hope you all have a great Thursday and that you’re close to being done with your shopping. 🙂
