Wednesday’s Wolf

So no eye candy today, but I thought since I was writing a werewolf story at the moment..I’d put up a pic of one of the most beautiful creatures on earth. πŸ™‚ Plus being an apex pedator.

Lyva and Chance showed up for a while last night. They didn’t tell me where they went or where they were heading next, but I did have a good writing session until they left again. lol. 4k done last night. Taking me to 10, 929 for the entire ms. Again, I’m not sure how long the story will end up being..so I’m not concerned about the w.c. yet.

In honor of Paige’s post with a quote by Richard Bach, I’ve posted one of my favorites from him. Have a great day, everyone.

“Your only obligation in any lifetime is to be true to yourself. Being true to anyone else or anything else is not only impossible, but the mark of a fake messiah.”— Richard Bach

Lyva’s Chance excerpt

I thought I’d give everyone a sneak peek at Lyva’s Chance, the first book in the Blood of Eden series. This is uncontracted and unedited. (Also very unfinished…lol)

Lyva’s Chance (c) 2006 T.A. Chase

Flipping on to my back, I pulled him on top of me. I saw the question in his eyes. As the Alpha, I should have had him on his stomach and been buried deep in his ass by now. Domination was important in the lycan world. Alphas proved their strength and power by forcing the weak into submission. It wasn’t the way I worked, no matter what the wolf wanted.

I cradled Chance’s face in my hands and said, β€œYour injuries are healing. I don’t want to aggravate them by putting my weight on you. I know my place in the world, Chance. As long as we are together and you accept me as the leader, I’ll never use my strength to harm you. Every step will be a choice for each of us.”

β€œNo one ever let me chose,” he whispered, eyes welling with tears.

β€œIt’s a new a life and a new world for you. Take advantage of it.” I knew Chance would find out soon enough that the choice had already been made for him.

He chose to kiss me. The shy brush of his lips over mine shot desire through me. Growling, I entwined my fingers in his hair and took his mouth. Chance opened without protest. Tongues dueled and teeth bit.His hips began to rock against mine. I hadn’t given him any clothes. Letting go of his head with one hand, I ran my fingers over warm skin and bumpy vertebrae. A little caress at the base of his spine caused him to gasp and moan.

Remove the Towel

My mind has gone blank. My vampyres, lycans and other supernatural creatures have fallen silent. The first couple headed to Glastonbury Abbey in England and I haven’t heard peep out of them since then. They must be enjoying the English countryside. πŸ˜‰

so I thought I’d visit New Orleans where some other characters are fooling around. Zach, a pararescue jumper for the Air Force and Lucian, an agoraphobic ex-street hustler, had been making some noise in the back of my mind. When I got there, nothing. They must have headed out on vacation.

Oh well…I can look back on some of my older posts and know that this emptiness won’t last long. One of those characters will get tired of hiding and come inspire me. lol

Until then, I’ll just stare at the eye candy today and wish he didn’t have quite so tight a grip on the towel.

Have a great day.

Lazy Sunday

Hey everyone…first time today I got on the computer. It’s been a very lazy Sunday for me. Watched The Masters. Congrats to Phil Mickelson. πŸ™‚

Yesterday was another lazy day. Just enjoyed the nice sunny weather and didn’t get any writing done actually. Oh well. I don’t have any deadlines except for ones I set for myself. So I can take time off…lol

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Sunny Saturday

Gotta love the size of the belt buckle…lol. Didn’t get much writing done last night. Watched the hockey game and and went to bed early. No partying for me this weekend. πŸ™‚

This is a short post because it’s sunny here and I’m going to go spend some time outside. Maybe go golfing or just to the park to do a little writing. Enjoy Matt.

Have a great day.

Too Much?

Too much hair, ladies? Or just right? πŸ˜‰

Well 300 words got written last night on LC..of course, it was a later scene than where I left off. I thought Lyva and Chance would head straight to Romania and Dracul’s castle. But imagine my surprise when they made a detour to Glastonbury Abbey in England. πŸ™‚ There we’ll find out some interesting little tib-bits about my version of the whole Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot triangle…lol.. I must have a thing for legends. Since St. George and Mordred show up in my dragon story.

Thank goodness it’s Friday. I need the weekend. Not to rest, but really get focused on my writing.

Have a great day, everyone.

Jake…yum

I love this picture of Jake Gyllenhaal. I think it’s the smile and the look in his eyes. Yummy! I picked up the DVD of Brokeback Mountain last night. Didn’t watch it though. As much as I love that movie, I can’t take the chance of watching it when I need to actually be thinking about things the next day. The movie takes me to places and memories that absorb me for days. Maybe this weekend I’ll be willing to venture back to those places again. πŸ™‚

Not much got written last night. I did a little plotting (Not much since I believe that plotting anything is evil..lol) I wrote the opening scene for the second book in the series, RADICK’S LUCK, and thought up titles for the others in the BoE series. Guess my mind’s not totally ready to dive into their world yet. Oh well. Not in any hurry, I guess.

Have a great day.

Awesome Banner

The marvelous Ms. Paige Burns has made me a great banner. πŸ™‚ Can’t wait to be able to start using it. Of course, the link will have to be to my blog since I haven’t even started thinking about a website yet. Hmm…she even said I could use this for bookmarks.

Happy Hump Day!

Like Jenna, I read this last night. Wow! Awesome stuff. Paige, you proved you don’t need to ride on anyone’s coattails. You’ve got all the talent you need to headline your own tour now. πŸ™‚ Grant totally h-o-t! Lindsay’s pretty great as well. So when’s the next one coming out? πŸ˜‰

Obviously since I was reading last night, nothing new got written on LC…but that’s okay. I don’t have a set deadline for it anyway, so when I get in to the groove again, there’ll be more to report. Enjoy the eye candy today.

Have a great day.

Where’s the Warm Weather?

I was really hoping spring would mean warmer weather, but no. We had rain last night and now it’s just above freezing. Ugh! I want warm weather…beach weather…guys in swim trunks weather…lol. Though this guy can certainly raise the temp. πŸ˜‰

I submitted NGH, so keep your fingers crossed that they like it. Paige did her usual wonderful job telling me what I screwed up…lol.

I got about 100 words written last night on Lyva’s Chance which is par for the course when I’m starting a new story. πŸ™‚ So you won’t be seeing any huge word counts from me for a while. Just as I get closer to the end.

Have a great day.
