Sunny Saturday
Gotta love the size of the belt buckle…lol. Didn’t get much writing done last night. Watched the hockey game and and went to bed early. No partying for me this weekend. 🙂This is a short post because it’s sunny here and I’m going to go spend some time outside. Maybe go golfing or just to the park to do a little writing. Enjoy Matt.
Have a great day.

Too Much?

Too much hair, ladies? Or just right? 😉
Well 300 words got written last night on LC..of course, it was a later scene than where I left off. I thought Lyva and Chance would head straight to Romania and Dracul’s castle. But imagine my surprise when they made a detour to Glastonbury Abbey in England. 🙂 There we’ll find out some interesting little tib-bits about my version of the whole Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot triangle…lol.. I must have a thing for legends. Since St. George and Mordred show up in my dragon story.
Thank goodness it’s Friday. I need the weekend. Not to rest, but really get focused on my writing.
Have a great day, everyone.

Jake…yum

I love this picture of Jake Gyllenhaal. I think it’s the smile and the look in his eyes. Yummy! I picked up the DVD of Brokeback Mountain last night. Didn’t watch it though. As much as I love that movie, I can’t take the chance of watching it when I need to actually be thinking about things the next day. The movie takes me to places and memories that absorb me for days. Maybe this weekend I’ll be willing to venture back to those places again. 🙂
Not much got written last night. I did a little plotting (Not much since I believe that plotting anything is evil..lol) I wrote the opening scene for the second book in the series, RADICK’S LUCK, and thought up titles for the others in the BoE series. Guess my mind’s not totally ready to dive into their world yet. Oh well. Not in any hurry, I guess.
Have a great day.

Awesome Banner

The marvelous Ms. Paige Burns has made me a great banner. 🙂 Can’t wait to be able to start using it. Of course, the link will have to be to my blog since I haven’t even started thinking about a website yet. Hmm…she even said I could use this for bookmarks.
Happy Hump Day!

Like Jenna, I read this last night. Wow! Awesome stuff. Paige, you proved you don’t need to ride on anyone’s coattails. You’ve got all the talent you need to headline your own tour now. 🙂 Grant totally h-o-t! Lindsay’s pretty great as well. So when’s the next one coming out? 😉
Obviously since I was reading last night, nothing new got written on LC…but that’s okay. I don’t have a set deadline for it anyway, so when I get in to the groove again, there’ll be more to report. Enjoy the eye candy today. Have a great day.

Where’s the Warm Weather?

I was really hoping spring would mean warmer weather, but no. We had rain last night and now it’s just above freezing. Ugh! I want warm weather…beach weather…guys in swim trunks weather…lol. Though this guy can certainly raise the temp. 😉
I submitted NGH, so keep your fingers crossed that they like it. Paige did her usual wonderful job telling me what I screwed up…lol.
I got about 100 words written last night on Lyva’s Chance which is par for the course when I’m starting a new story. 🙂 So you won’t be seeing any huge word counts from me for a while. Just as I get closer to the end.
Have a great day.

Happy April.

Where the heck did March go? I must have missed it in the blur of getting NGH done. 🙂
Sorry, I wasn’t around this weekend. Took time off from the computer. Needed a little rest. I think I might be coming down with some sort of cold. Oh well…drinking lots of Vit. C. to try and combat the germs. lol
Next up on the agenda, Lyva’s Chance, part of my Blood of Eden series. I’ve gotten 6500 done on it. Not sure how big a word count I want to put on it right now. Just going to start working on it and see where it leads me.
I thought these two looked particularly yummy today.
Have a great day.

Two of the sweetest words

Along with Love you and More Vodka, THE END are two of the sweetest words. I got to type those in tonight. Wrapping up NO GOING HOME at the unofficial word total of 65,235 words. I wrote 6400 words tonight to get it done. 🙂 So join me for a drink. I’m sure our bartender will let you do body shots off him. He seems like an accomdating guy.
Now, I’ll be reading it through and editing it. Then it’s going to be submitted. 🙂 Paige, who was gracious enough to read my first story, Here Be Dragons, has agreed to look this one over as well. I hope she falls in love with Les and Randy like I did.
so ladies, my cowboy muses are available if you would like to give them new homes…lol. They might stick around for a day or two until I finally submit it, but after that, they’re free game.
Have a great night.

Thrillin’ Thursday

I’m sure these two young ‘uns are finding all sorts of mischief to get into. 🙂 Or else the one in the white hat’s about to going swimming if their horse pushes him in…lol.
Well 58k was reached last night…actually I’m 200 words away from 59k, but I’ll be hitting 60k tonight. My partner’s gone for the night, so except for my cats, I won’t have any distractions.
Have a great day, everyone.

A Personal Trainer?

I think if I had a trainer like this one, I’d be spending all of my time in the gym. 🙂
Went and saw my godson last night. He looks like an angry wrinkled old man…lol. All red and squished-faced. But he’ll grow out of that, I’m sure. 😉 The little one is doing well. Mom had a mild case of preeclampsia, so the hospital is planning on letting them go home today. They are all looking forward to taking him home.
Writing gods smiled on me last night. I’ve reached 56k..5523 words done last night. My fingers were tired, but it’s worth it. So the new goal of 60k is looking more and more reachable every day. 🙂
Have a great day.
