Poetry Train..
breezes chase each othertears run down a face
laughter haunts the paths
we must follow where it leads
lending wisdom to the false
lending stupidity to the truth
asking what we have to do
only makes us vulnerable
is this what our life must be
an endless search for nothing
questioning everything and
believing everyone
killing the one we love
fucking the one we hate
a vision quest of anger
a journey of hopelessness
Not a very happy poem, but still one I like and it sort of fits the dark dreary weather we’re having today. Stop by Rhian’s blog today to check out the other stops on the Poetry Train.
Have a great day.

i love you TA!!! I’m so glad i’m not alone in feeling things darkly.
Entire poem is wonderful and these lines struck such a deep chord:
“is this what our life must be
an endless search for nothing
questioning everything and
believing everyone”
i would add:and understanding none of it.
Dark and questioning, I like it. 🙂
I thought it started out a bit more positive and then turned darker, or is that just me and my perpetually optimistic self again?
At any rate, I liked how it did that. Even if it only did it in my own head.
Happy Monday T.A
I like the poem.

Rhi AND you?
Next week: happy poems about fluffy bunnies.
“is this what our life must be
an endless search for nothing
questioning everything and
believing everyone”
It is…
We get trapped in that vicious circle again and again.
I like…
killing the one we love
fucking the one we hate
This is the Western Word! Part of why I rejected it.
Yikes. Strong stuff TA. I’d say more, but the thunderstorms are sucking me under. That and the fact I go in for a root canal in an hour and a half.
