Yay…it’s Friday. Not that it really means much for me in a way…lol. Working from home means every day is pretty much the same. At least during the winter. π But still I’m happy to hit the weekend. I think we’ll be going to see The King’s Speech (if it opens in all theaters this weekend). I love Colin Firth and it looks like a really good movie.
I’m hoping to hit the halfway mark on Borderline today, if not go over it by the end of the day. But we’ll see. I have to run some errands and I’m meeting a friend for dinner tonight. That’ll be fun.
Well, I hope you all have a great Friday and a marvelous weekend.

I’m going to have to go shovel the driveway at some point today, I guess….though I don’t plan on going any where today…lol.
Progress is being made on Borderline. I’m hoping to have it done by the end of the month, if not sooner. Also, I just got the okay to go ahead and write a four book paranormal series for Total e-Bound. Woot! So I’m going to have to start working on those as well. When I get blurbs and stuff written up for them, I’ll post them.
Hmmm….other than that, I plan on staying inside where it’s nice and warm. π I hope you all are safe and sound wherever you are.
Have a wonderfully warm Wednesday.

I thought I’d reboot my poetry train Mondays. I’ve forgotten how much I like to write poetry, so this’ll help push me to do more of it.
I’m not sure if I shared this one with you yet, but I thought I’d post it anyway. Just in case I didn’t.
Survive
As much as I long to spend time with you
I know deep inside it’s not the right thing to do.
The world we find ourselves tied inside
Forces us to dream and hide.
Sometimes silence is the only way
To hear the depth of what you say.
Yet with each step we draw near,
Toe maybe finding our way clear
Of the doubt and pain,
To shield each other from the rain.
Knowing you love and dream,
Even if it’s not with me.
Merely knowing you’re alive
Allows me to continue on and survive.

Of course, it’s snowing on the one day I plan to leave the house…lol. Having lunch with my mom and then going to have dinner with one of the ladies I used to work with. Yay!
Shades of Dreams was the #1 best seller at Amber Allure for December. Thank all of you who bought it.
I sent in a partial to my YA publisher this morning, so I’ll be waiting to hear on that. Deepest Cut is a very emotional book, but I think everyone will fall in love with Charlie. π
Voice for the Silent is set to come out on Sunday. I’ll try to remember to post the blurb and an excerpt tomorrow for everyone.
Well, I have to go get ready to start my day. I hope you all have a great Thursday.

Here’s a poem I wrote recently:
I want a darkened hallway
Or an empty room
So we can wrap our arms
Around each other
And I can lean into
Your warmth, knowing
In that space,
In that one moment of time
I am your whole world
Just like you are mine.

Okay, so I’m thinking that I might be able to start a new blog story either next week or the week after that. It depends on how my other writing goes. π
Carol and I are finishing up The Haunting of St. Xavier’s for Total e-Bound and that is tentatively scheduled for a February release. (As you know all dates are subject to change…lol) Also, I just contracted a romantic suspense with Loose-Id which means I now have to finish writing it. I have eight chapters to add, and I want to get it done by the end of this month. I’ll be moving it up to the top of my list for now. As soon as I get the signed contract back, I’ll tell you more about it. π
So far this writing full time thing is going pretty good. We’ll see how I feel next week when C’s gone all week, and I haven’t seen a real person for three days…lmao. Then I might change my mind.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday.

Well, today is the true first day of my staying home and writing full time. I’ve been writing all weekend as well. π So far it’s felt like it was just a vacation. Now we’ll see how well this goes…lol.
I added about 4k or so to my new YA book, Deepest Cut, over the weekend, plus I worked on the book I’m writing with Carol Lynne. We’re hoping to have it finished by Friday. Actually that’s a doable deadline. We’re in the homestretch of the story now. π
I hope you all have a great Monday.

I hope you all have a safe and wonderful New Year’s Eve, plus enjoy your weekend. I have a party to go to tonight, 80s themed, so there will probably be a lot of leg warmers, big hair, and rock band T-shirts. π It should be fun.

I hit the ground running today and never got back to the house until just this moment. π So here’s some eye candy to make the rest of your day go better. Hope it was a good Thursday.

Here’s a poem I wrote a while ago. I hope you all have a great Tuesday. π
The days slip away, one by one.
Counting down to the moment
When I must walk away,
Leaving you behind.
I know itβs the right thing for me,
Yet walking away from you
Is breaking my heart in a way
I never imagined.
Others tell me they see me.
Others tell me what they want.
Others believe what I show them.
Others see only what I wish for them to see.
In your eyes, Iβm real.
In your eyes, you see all of me.
In your world, I exist,
Not as I should be, but as I am.
Each step away from you
Leads me down a different path,
But even when weβre apart,
Youβll be in my heart and mind.
You own a piece of my soul.
A part I can never get back.
Youβll always be my friend
And much more.
