Ghost of a Chance available

My St. Patrick’s Day ghost story, Ghost of a Chance, is available now from Loose-id. 🙂 I thought I’d post another excerpt for you. (don’t worry Bitter Creek’s Redemption will be updated tomorrow..lol)

Blurb:

Padraig Monaghan has a problem. Most would consider dying in a bar fight ten years ago upsetting, and existing as a ghost wandering the world might be thought a real predicament. They might deem a second chance at life through a chance encounter with a dying man a serious dilemma. But for Padraig, finding himself face to face with the man he’d loved and lost a lifetime ago is the biggest thing on his mind.

Gareth Reilly stops at O’Toole’s for a drink before he heads home. Tomorrow’s going to be another lonely birthday for him until he’s approached by a stranger. There’s something about Padraig’s bright green eyes and Irish accent that reminds Gareth of a man he once knew. Unable to resist, Gareth breaks his cardinal rule and invites Padraig home.

On St. Patrick’s Day, when Irish magic is strongest, it’ll take a belief in the impossible and help from a grateful elf to give Padraig and Gareth another chance at love.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, violence.

Excerpt:

A slow song filled the bar and a few couples floated onto the makeshift dance floor. Padraig stood, and holding out his hand to Gareth, he asked, “Would you like to dance with me?”

Tilting his head, Gareth studied him for a moment or two before standing and taking his hand. A thrill raced from Padraig’s hand to his heart and groin. They wound their way through the tables to the dance floor. Padraig kept Gareth’s hand in his and wrapped his arm around Gareth’s waist, pulling him close. Not too close, though. He didn’t want Gareth feeling uncomfortable.

He needn’t have worried about that. Gareth played with the curls at the nape of Padraig’s neck and didn’t protest as Padraig tucked their hands to his chest. They moved in time with the music, slowly maneuvering around the floor. Padraig stroked his fingers along the small of Gareth’s back, relishing the way the slender man fit in his arms. With each turn, he eased Gareth closer to him until their bodies were pressed tighter than two sardines in a can. Gareth rested his cheek on Padraig’s chest and sighed.

Padraig slid his free hand down to cup Gareth’s ass and rubbed their erections together. Would Gareth moan as softly when he was being fucked or would he be loud? Padraig buried his face in Gareth’s strawberry blond curls, breathing in the familiar scent of Gareth’s soap. Surprising that Gareth still used the same stuff that Padraig remembered from the few times he’d gotten close enough to Gareth.

He ignored the end of the first song and kept his hold on Gareth while the next one started.

Gareth didn’t seem inclined to stop. Moving slightly, he nuzzled Gareth’s ear and nibbled along Gareth’s chin.

“Oh,” Gareth breathed, letting his head fall back to give Padraig more access to his throat.

“You smell just like I remember,” Padraig murmured.

“What?” Gareth tensed.

“You smell better than anyone I remember,” he improvised, hoping he covered his tracks. He scraped his teeth over Gareth’s jugular, causing the man in his arms to shiver.

Monday…blah

Sorry, I have nothing particularlly interesting or profound to say today…lol. I really would have prefered to stay home, curled up under some blankets and sleep today away. But it is getting warmer out and the days are getting longer, so that’s always good.

I do have good news. I submitted Nowhere Diner to Amber Quill yesterday and heard back from them already. They want it. The full title is Nowhere Diner: Finding Love and is the first of three books in the series (though I’m sure there could be more if I so chose…lol)

Now I can get back to finishing Nick of Time and His Heart’s Home.

Oh, if you scroll down a little farther, you’ll see my cover for tomorrow’s release, Ghost of a Chance. Isn’t it beautiful? Anne Cain did another out-standing job.

I hope you all have a great Monday…even though it is Monday..lol

Ghost of a Chance Cover

Woot! Anne Cain did it again, everyone. 🙂 Another awesome cover by the cover goddess herself.

I’m not sure if I remembered to mention this, but Bitter Creek’s Redemption will be postponed one day (until Wednesday) this week because Ghost comes out on Tuesday, so I’ll be posting an excerpt on St. Patrick’s Day. 🙂

But if you’d like a sneak peek, Elisa has posted an excerpt from the book on her livejournal today. Stop by and check it out. 🙂

Nowhere Diner: Finding Love was finished on Friday. I’m going to go through and clean it up before sending it on to the publisher I’ve picked for it. I’ll let you all know how that goes as soon as I find out.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

Friday Fun

I just thought I’d give you two pieces of eye candy today since it is Friday…lol.

Good news…Ghost of a Chance should be released next Tuesday. The next installment for Bitter Creek will be on Wednesday, so I can post an excerpt of Ghost for your viewing pleasure on Tuesday. 🙂

I’m close to finishing Finding Me, which is the first book in the Nowhere Diner series. I made up my mind about the title the other day. I only have one more chapter to add and then I’ll be cleaning it up and sending it to one of my publishers.

I hope you all have a great Friday and that the weather is beautiful wherever you are. 🙂

Happy Hump Day

Wow…Wednesday all ready? I know it sounds odd, but the week is just flying by. 🙂

I don’t have much to report. Writing is going well. I’m managing at 3k a day on one story and getting little bits for some other ones.

Hope you all have a great day.

Poetry Train #94

Untitled…

Eyes closed, I absorb your presence,
Aching to trail my fingers over your body.
But I’m bound by invisible ties
To someone whose love I could never return.

I long to be honest
But my tongue is tied.
I wish to be strong
But my compassion makes me weak.

Somehow you understand what I’m feeling.
I see the need in your eyes,
Though we stand next to each other,
There is a chasm I can’t cross.

I smile and laugh with friends,
Dying inside an inch at a time.
Wishing I could hold you,
While my arms are wrapped around another.

Finally it’s Friday…

Thank goodness the weekend’s finally here. This week started out crummy and has gotten a little better over the days. I’m feeling much better, but still I’m looking forward to sleeping in the next two days. 🙂

Well, Tabloid Star has a September release date. I’ll give you the exact date as soon as I can. And it looks like Dreaming of Dragons will probably be out in May. Of course, neither of the dates are a hundred percent solid. Like everything else, it’s subject to change…lol.

Still that gives me six books out the first six months of this year. 🙂 If I write quick enough, maybe I can fill in July and August, so there won’t be a gap between any books until we get into fall and winter.

If you remember, for one Poetry Train, I posted an excerpt from a story titled Nowhere Diner (which I’m thinking of changing to Cookie’s Diner…we’ll have to see). Little did I expect when I wrote that scene, that Tim, the character whose point-of-view we hear the story from, would not shut up. I’m 31k into his story now, and hoping that I’ll be much farther along by the end of the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me. (I know a lot of you are waiting for other books to get finished and come out, but I can only work on the stories that are flowing for me and this one happens to be it. But don’t worry, I’ll be getting back to those other stories soon enough.)

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Poetry Train #93

Butterfly…

Wrapped inside a warm embrace,
I slumber,
Unaware without dreams.

Then a spark burns through me,
I awake,
Stretching inch by inch.

Emerging and unfurling,
I breathe,
Absorbing sunlight.

With my wings dry,
I fly,
Far more beautiful than I once was.

Tabloid Star inspiration

So this is my inspiration for Ryan Kellar, the newest up-and-coming star in the Hollywood scene and one of my heroes from Tabloid Star. 🙂 Rather yummy, don’t you think?

And the picture below is the one I used to inspire me as I wrote about Joss Bauer, the bartender who rocks Ryan’s world, but who has his own problems to deal with. Those tattoos are just so lickable…lol. 😉

So what do you all think?

Enjoy the eye candy and I hope you all have a great Friday, plus a wonderful weekend. 🙂

New Coming Soon

Now this would be a pretty cover, don’t you think? 🙂 But unfortunately, it isn’t…lol

I signed a contract with Samhain over the weekend for a new book. No release date yet, but as usual, as soon as I find out, I’ll let everyone know. This book was inspired by two pictures one of my friends posted. And Jambrea, this book is all yours…lol..tattoos and a lot of licking. 😀

Here’s the unedited blurb for Tabloid Star. I’m sure it’ll be slightly different when it comes out.

Can a one-night stand turn into love?

As a bartender at the Lucky Seven club, Joss Bauer has the opportunity to take a guy home every night if he wishes. Working three jobs makes it difficult to connect with anyone at more than a superficial level. Then one night he picks a guy up and takes him home. When the man is gone in the morning, Joss believes nothing will come of it. Until pictures show up on the front page of a tabloid and he finds out his one-night stand wasn’t who he thought he was.

Ryan Kellar’s career is taking off. Advance buzz about his movie says it’s a block-buster, so he goes to the Lucky Seven to celebrate. Going home with the gorgeous bartender is his present, but he leaves in the morning before Joss is awake, not wanting to risk being discovered. He’s shocked and angry when pictures of him and Joss together surface. Had Joss played him for a fool?

Each man has his own problems to deal with resulting from the tabloid pictures. Can they figure out who took them and learn to trust each other as their worlds fall apart?

I can’t wait for you all to meet Joss and Ryan. On Friday, I’ll post the pictures I used for inspiration for the guys. 🙂

Have a great day.
