Poetry Train #94
Untitled…
Eyes closed, I absorb your presence,
Aching to trail my fingers over your body.
But I’m bound by invisible ties
To someone whose love I could never return.
I long to be honest
But my tongue is tied.
I wish to be strong
But my compassion makes me weak.
Somehow you understand what I’m feeling.
I see the need in your eyes,
Though we stand next to each other,
There is a chasm I can’t cross.
I smile and laugh with friends,
Dying inside an inch at a time.
Wishing I could hold you,
While my arms are wrapped around another.

touching…deep. Brooks, Lips of an Angel is absolutely perfect for that!!
TA, that was beautiful!
haunting, beautiful
I found Dreaming of Dragons listed on Loose Id’s Coming Soon page today. No picture or blurb yet, but past experience tells me it should be released within 6 weeks, putting it before the end of April. I’can’t wait.
Such a melancholy poem. Lost love, lost opportunities. if only we could be strong enough to live for ourselves. I’m only just beginning to learn these life lessons.
It reminds me in a way of the song “Lips of an Angel” by Hinder.
Thanks, TA
Sad oh so sad. It makes me think of the weather we had her yesterday. *sigh*
I hope you had a nice weekend TA. 🙂
Very sad, very powerful.
But the eye candy for the day makes me smile and wish I was a water droplet.lol
Hope you had a relaxing weekend.
