In the Writing Cave…

Wasn’t sure what picture would show up when I chose it. I just blindly picked one…lol…out of my pic file. đ Not bad.
The weekend was very relaxing, though I did write and I’ll be writing all night tonight. Thought about taking the day off the evil day job to just stay home and write. I want to finish some stories up that have been hanging around for a while. Cross them off my list of things to get done, so I can get to some new ideas I have floating around my head. đ Hopefully I can get some words written during lunch. Keep your fingers crossed.
I hope you all had a great weekend and not too terrible a Monday.
T.G.I.F.

Thank goodness, it’s almost the weekend. When I leave work tonight, I’m going to forget about this place for two days and just relax. I will be writing, but no worrying about anything else. Maybe catch a little tennis along the way.
I hope you all have a great Friday and an awesome weekend.
Sorry…again

Unfortunately, I’m going to have to postpone the next installment of Understanding the Past again. Partly, it’s my fault. I was having too much fun last night and didn’t get the installment written. The other part is the fact that when I got into work today, they called an emergency meeting. Big doings going on around here. Not sure what’s happening, but I guess I’ll find out.
So if I get a chance, I’ll write and post the installment. If not, it’ll be up tomorrow, I promise.
I hope you all had a great weekend and try to have a wonderful Tuesday.
Woo-Hoo Friday’s Here…

It’s a three-day weekend as well. Woot! Can’t wait. Of course, there will be fun with friends and family, plus a little golf. And some writing along the way…lol. I can never go an entire day without writing. That’s just impossible and might drive me over the edge into insanity. đ (Which at times doesn’t seem that far away)
Also, thank you all so much for making Tabloid Star and Nick of Time such huge successes. I have one more coming out at the end of Sept, then a small break before Playing the Game (featuring Out of Bounds and High Line) comes out in Dec. Great Christmas or holiday present, I think. đ
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend.
Tabloid Star is out!

Now for the other great news….though from what I understand some of you have already gotten your copies from Fictionwise, which seems odd to me, but hey what do I know? Lol
My newest release from Samhain, Tabloid Star, is live and ready to be picked up. đ I had a little chat at the Samhain Cafe last night about it. I enjoyed chatting with everyone who could stop by. Also some eye candy was posted. You’re probably not surprised by that…lol.
Here’s the blurb:
One hot night, one freeze frameâŚand one shocking surprise.
As a bartender at the Lucky Seven club, Josh Bauer could take a different guy home every nightâŚif he wanted to. Working three jobs, however, makes it hard to connect with anyone. One man, though, is too much temptation to resist. A steamy encounter in a back alley leads to an explosive night of sex in Joshâs bedâa bed he isnât surprised to find empty the next morning.
What does surprise him, though, is the front page of a tabloid. Apparently his one-night stand isnât as anonymous as he thought it was.
Ryan Kellarâs career is taking off. Advance buzz about his movie says itâs a blockbuster, and going home with the gorgeous bartender is the perfect way to celebrate. And he thought heâd gotten away cleanâuntil the picture in the paper shocks him into reality. Was Josh really just playingâŚor playing him for a fool?
Trust isnât big on their list right now, but as their worlds fall apart, itâs all they have. At least until they figure out who took the picture. And whyâŚ
Product Warnings
Hot manlove, gratuitous licking of tattoos and dealing with stalking paparazzi.
Ryan stuck out his tongue. âDonât get too puffed up there. I might have just been saying that to get the guy to leave.â
âYouâre the one making me puffy, honey. And donât wag that thing at me unless you mean to use it.â Josh caught the tip of Ryanâs tongue between his thumb and finger, giving it a little tug.
Without thinking or worrying about anyone watching, Ryan leaned forward slightly and wrapped his lips around Joshâs finger. Sucking, he drew it in and scraped Joshâs skin with his teeth. Salt, lime and lemon mingled on his tongue, making Josh a flavor heâd love to taste more of.
âMuch more of that, youâll be on the bar and Iâll be doing body shots off your absâŚamong other places,â Josh growled.
Ryan shivered, and hell if his cock didnât stiffen to press against his zipper hard enough to leave marks. He eased back and let Joshâs finger go with a grin.
Josh shook his head. âWho knew there was such a tease under that mysterious exterior?â
Before Ryan could answer, a tall blonde woman came from the hallway to sit next to him. He gave her a smile and Josh leaned over the bar to kiss her cheek.
âRachel, love, what can I get you?â
âYou know what I like, Josh.â Rachelâs voice held the clipped accents of upper crust Britain. âHowâs business going?â
Rachel must be Joshâs boss. Ryan touched the brim of his hat. Had she seen him flirting with Josh? He didnât want to get him in trouble.
âItâs been steady. Pretty good for a Thursday night.â Josh set a martini in front of her. âDirty, with three olives.â
Rachel sipped and sighed. âYou make the best martinis.â
âThatâs why you hired me.â Josh strolled away to mix two drinks and came back. âHow are you doing, boss lady?â
Her gaze wandered over the crowd. âIâm doing fine, Josh.â Her blue eyes landed on Ryan and she smiled. âWhy donât you take off early tonight? Iâll finish up your shift and help Pete clean up.â
Surprise crossed Joshâs face and Ryan figured Rachel didnât tend bar very often. Something seemed to be bothering her, but it wasnât his place to ask.
âAre you sure? I donât mind staying.â Josh rested his arms on the bar and shot Ryan a glance.
âI donât have anywhere else to go,â Ryan commented. And he really didnât. He didnât have anything to do until later tomorrow afternoon.
âGo on. Youâve been here late every night this week. I donât want my best bartender getting sick because he doesnât get enough sleep. I can handle the bar for a couple of hours.â
Josh came from behind the bar and gave Rachel a hug. âIâm not going to argue anymore. Thanks.â
Ryan fought to keep from laughing as Josh dragged him back to the office where they grabbed Joshâs backpack before heading out through the back exit.
âI live just a couple of blocks down. We can walk or we can catch a cab.â
âIâd like to walk, if thatâs okay with you.â
The urge to jerk his hand away from Josh almost overwhelmed him, but he beat it back. He tightened his fingers and tried not to think about how good it felt holding on to him. No one would expect to see him out walking the sidewalks like normal people.
âWalkingâs good with me.â Josh slung the pack over one broad shoulder and swung their hands as they made their way down the sidewalk.
Ryan let his mind empty as they wandered, ignoring the crowd of people around him. The nice thing about Hollywood was he never felt like he stood out. No one stared or pointed at him, whispering behind hands. No one looked twice at two men holding hands.
He did notice how Josh blocked people from bumping into him or bothering him in any way. Ryan wasnât a small guy, but somehow Josh made him feel taken care of and cherished. Shaking his head, he gave a silent chuckle. Now if that wasnât the silliest thing heâd thought in a long time.
God, they needed to get to Joshâs apartment so Josh could fuck all the sappiness out of him.
Nick of Time released-NSFW excerpt

In case anyone didn’t know, Nick of Time is available at Amber Allure. đ Stop by and check it out. It’ll be out in print by the middle of September, I hope. I’ll let you know when that happens.
Also, I wanted to let you all know that I’ll be posting the next installment of Understanding the Past on Wednesday this week since Tabloid Star comes out tomorrow. đ
Here’s a blurb:
Gryphonâs in trouble. Captured and tortured by humans, the ancient vampire is dying. The humans gave him enough blood to continue his torture, but not enough to heal or free himself. Heâs on the brink of death when a meal is tossed into his cell.
Nick knows all about the monsters lurking in the dark corners of the world. Unfortunately for him, itâs the human ones who try to kill him. Broken and bloody, heâs thrown into a cell with a vampire. Knowing heâs dying, Nick offers his blood to the vampire, willing to sacrifice himself to save the tormented man.
Gryphon accepts Nickâs offer and the first drink of blood will bind them together through a life-changing adventure. The worlds of human and supernatural collide, catching Nick and Gryphon in the middle…
And an excerpt for everyone’s enjoyment:Nick pulled back, took a deep breath and swallowed Gryphonâs prick down, relaxing his throat until heâd buried his nose in the curls at Gryphonâs groin. Gryphon stilled, and Nick felt the strain caused by his not waiting to take Nick without Nick being ready for it. Nick tapped Gryphonâs thigh to let him know it was okay to move.
With a groan, Gryphon started fucking Nickâs mouth, and Nick held on, one hand gripping Gryphonâs thigh. He slid the other hand down to play with Gryphonâs balls, rolling them in his palm and tugging on them to draw a hiss from Gryphon.
He winced slightly as Gryphonâs hands fisted in his hair and pulled. Being caught up in the sensations of Nickâs mouth, Gryphon didnât realize what he was doing and there was no way Nick was going to stop to tell him.
âSoon, honey,â Gryphon forced out between gritted teeth.
Nick nodded slightly, relaxing his muscles even more and massaging Gryphonâs shaft with his throat. His own cock rose up and painted his stomach with wet trails. It throbbed and he knew it wouldnât take more than a touch from Gryphon to push him over the edge.
Gryphon buried his cock in Nickâs mouth and froze before jerking and flooding Nickâs mouth with hot, salty bitterness. He took everything Gryphon gave him, sucking to get every drop he could. When Gryphonâs grasp on Nickâs hair loosened, Nick backed off, licking and cleaning Gryphon as he let his prick slip from his mouth.
Falling back on the bed, Nick thrust his hips in the air. âPlease.â
Guest Blogger-Vivian Arend

Vivian Arend is hosting a Cowboy Countdown Contest and sheâs popped in today to ask us to join her in getting ready for her latest release, Rocky Mountain Heat coming August 31st to Liquid Silver Books. And sheâs got a question for us:
Do you own a cowboy hat and boots?
T.A.: I’ll answer first. I have a cowboy hat. A very nice black one with a black and silver hat band. đ No boots though. Hmm…wonder if I should get some chaps. lol

Welcome to the Six Pack Ranch, where one sweet young thing plus the Coleman boys equals trouble with a capital T.
Six Pack Ranch, Book 1
Blake Coleman is old enough to know that acting on impulse causes nothing but a heap of trouble. But when troubleâs a blonde wearing a cowboy hat with slim legs that go on forever, whatâs a man to do? Wanting the sweet girl next door is just wrong. Hell, he was the one that taught her to ride a horse and now all he can think about is riding her. The responsible thing to do is keep his hands off.
Jaxi has other plans for his hands, and his heart. She may have considered Blake a big brother once but that was a long time ago. Sheâs all grown up now and ready to convince him that sheâs just what heâs been waiting for.
Add the complication of two sexy younger brothers who have suddenly noticed Jaxi and things heat up fast. Blakeâs gonna have to decide if a little trouble is worth fighting for.

Postponed

Sorry, everyone. I had an emergency last night (not me or C..a friend…lots of drama..lol), so I wasn’t able to get the next installment written up. And I have meetings all this morning. Ugh!
I will try and get the installment up sometime today, but it’ll depend on how long my meetings run. If not today, I’ll definitely get it posted tomorrow for you. đ
Thanks for stopping by and sorry that real life got in the way…lol.
Oh Goodie…

It’s Monday again…lol.
I hope everyone had a great weekend. It rained here yesterday, but all in all, it was a pretty nice weekend. I didn’t get as much writing done as I wanted. Too many real life things got in the way. Guess I’ll just have to try harder this week to get some extra writing done.
Have a great day, even if it is Monday.
