TGIF…
The weekend is here finally. I’m hoping it’ll be a better one than last weekend. Maybe not so much rain would be nice. ๐I plan on doing some writing and hanging out with C. The story I’m working on is going well. I can tell when I’m really getting into a story because I’ll start thinking about it all the time. In the shower, on the way to work…while I’m at work. ๐ And that’s a good thing because it means I won’t be wasting time staring at my screen wondering where the hell are my characters going from this point in the story…lol.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Happy Hunk Day…

Writing is going well. I’ll be starting edits on Where the Devil Dances in the next week or so. It’s part of the Firemen series: Hearts Afire that Liquid Silver is putting out. I’ll be paired with the wonderful Bonnie Dee for January. Check out the blurbs here. I’ll probably be posting an excerpt shortly. There are several fun things about the series. There will be two stories paired each month. Some months both stories will be Molten, like Bonnie’s and mine. Some months, they’ll be Liquid like Jolie Cain’s and Jade Morrison’s. At the end of the year, all twelve covers will be put together into a calander for 2010. Who can resist twelve months of firefighters, huh? ๐
I’ve finished edits for Bound by Love. I can’t wait for you all to meet Ren and Tyler. I got a sneek peek at the cover and it looks awesome. As soon as I’m given the okay, I’ll post it for everyone to see.
Hope everyone has a great day.

This marvelous painting was done by Steve Walker. You should check out his other work. He’s an awesome artist. ๐
Rainโฆ
As rain drops pound
The window, I curl up
And think of you.
Where are you?
Does the rain beat
Down on you?
Do you have sun
Where you are?
Hot and relentless.
Does the wind blow?
Pushing you here
And there.
I don’t know where
You go when you
Leave me.
Itโs hard not
To add my tears
To the rain.
Iโll be the last
To know if
Youโre hurt.
But I believe
Our love will
Keep you strong.
Youโll be back
To chase away
The rain.

Finally Friday…

It’s the last day of the work week…yay! Though it’s overcast and probably going to end up raining before the day’s over with. Oh well. Life can’t be all blue skies and sunshine. ๐
I did come writing done last night. I’m over the hump in this story that has been giving me fits. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. It just might get finished yet. I’ll be celebrating like crazy when it’s finished. It’s causing a back-up with all my other stories…lol. But when the characters don’t want to talk to me, I can only do so much.
Hope everyone has a great day and weekend. ๐
Happy Hunk Day

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday. Just think…two more days until the weekend.
Poetry Train #70

In the darkness
I felt his arms
Wrapped around me.
I tried not to
Need anyone,
But with every
Word that fell
From his lips,
I found myself
Falling more
In love with
Him.
In the daylight
I felt the loneliness.
I never saw him
During the day,
But with every
Touch of his hands,
I found myself
Not caring.
I knew that
In the end
He was going
To take from
Me the one thing
I could give.
He was going to
Take my heart.
I couldnโt even
Keep a part of
It for my own.

TGIF…

Happy wet Friday, everyone. It’s raining here and I don’t think it’ll be stopping any time soon. Oh well, gives me a good excuse to stay inside and write. ๐ Which is what I plan on doing since I’m caught up on my work at the EDJ. lol
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Poetry Train #69

Scream…
Searching for
the one whose
touch would heal
my soul.
Finding those
who can touch
only the surface
of my skin.
So far no one
has reached
inside me and
stroked my nerves.
No one has tried
to take my
breath away
with a kiss.
I have never
wanted to scream
my satisfaction
into his mouth

Happy Labor Day…
Happy Labor Day, everyone. Since it’s a holiday, I’m delaying my Poetry Train post until Wednesday. ๐
I hope you all have a wonderful day.
It’s Friday…

This is a picture of Matthew Mitcham, an Australian diver, who won a gold medal in Beijing…denying the Chinese a sweep of all eight diving gold medals. You can read his story here.
One of the interesting things about Matt, aside from the fact that he is an amazing diver, is that he is/was the only openly gay athelete at the Olympics this year. His mother and his partner were in the stands watching him compete.
The courage it takes to be open about your orientation is incredible and to do it in the sports world, where people tend not to be as open-minded as we would like them to be…takes more courage than most atheletes have.
I applaud Mr. Mitcham for both his awesome performance in winning the gold and his overwhelming courage in being honest to himself and the world about who he loves. Best of luck in the future.
