Another Foggy Day

The picture doesn’t really have anything to do with my post today. I just liked it….with everyone’s urge to get away from their lives and the worlds they live in…I thought this was a good symbol for running away. 😉

The fog was thick this morning as I was driving to work. While I drove with my eyes on the road and the cars in front of me, I admit my mind wandered. It went down paths of stories I’ve already told in an earlier post called Fog. Quickly though it went towards the story I’m revealing piece by piece to you each Tuesday and I see my hero riding his horse in Hyde Park in the early morning fog. A second man joins him and I can tell my hero is agitated by the way his horse won’t stand still. Whether there are words exchanged at that moment, I didn’t know. I am merely an observer to an early morning meeting. His feelings and the conversation they might have had will be shown to me in time for the next installment for I think it’s time for my hero and His Grace to move beyond the Ball and into the world my hero hides from.

What do you think? Should their relationship expand from beyond the stiff unreality of the ballroom? Maybe to places where my hero feels more comfortable and less a monster?

Perhaps everything terrible is in its deepest being something helpless that wants help from us.”–Ranier Maria Rilke

Sure you can, Paige. Not sure what kind of fringe benefits that would get you though.

  2. Paige Burns says:

Can I be president of your fan club? 😉

  3. T.A.Chase says:

Yes, it did. I think it was her yearning to touch him and not being able to. Those emotions touched me. 🙂

    Cool. I can’t wait.

Oh, honey, my writing inspired you? I’m so flattered…

And the next excerpt is already brewing in my brain. I’ll probably post it in the next couple days.

    (((Hugs)))

The interesting thing about this particular muse, Jenna, is that even though I don’t know what he looks like yet…he’s got me by the hand and isn’t letting go until I finish his story. In some way, it’s like having a ghost sit next to me and whisper his life story into my ear, hoping I’ll bring it to life. 🙂

  6. Jenna Howard says:

    Awww….

Follow the muse, my friend. Follow it. Or else. 😉

You’re right, Sherrill. Hmm..that reminds me..I’m going to have to find a muse or two for this story. Eye candy, here I come.

  8. Sherrill Quinn says:

Follow where your muse leads you, T.A. You can’t go wrong that way. 🙂

  9. T.A.Chase says:

Aw..thanks Kate. I’m glad we ‘ran’ into each other as well. And your Portrait story is what inspired me to post my own on-going story. 🙂 *hint*

You’re right. The Delete button is a wonderful invention..though I don’t always delete scenes I don’t like…I usually cut them out of the story and save them. Never know when I might be able to use them in something else.

Don’t know about Disneyland, S.W. But the London sewers might be a possibilty..lol..depending on when they were built.

I’m definitely getting the feeling that my hero (whose name I’m going to have to figure out soon) and Greyson will be moving their encounters out from the stuffy ballrooms and into the streets of London. 🙂

Though taking them to Disneyland might be interesting..lol

  11. T.A.Chase says:

Your horse is the one leading the way, Jenna. 🙂 The brave and intrepid one heading out for greener pastures.

  12. Kate Lang says:

T.A.: The story will unfold how it should…go with your gut and if it doesn’t work? Well that’s what the delete button is for, isn’t it?

Have I told you that you inspire me, lately? I’ve been remiss…

You inspire me, friend. Glad we brushed against each other in the blogosphere.

    🙂

T.A., I would read about your hero and his lover if they were in Disneyland (which would involve time travel) or a London sewer. 🙂 You’ve got me hooked.

That said — bring on the real world. It would make for an excellent contrastual view.

  14. Jenna Howard says:

    Which horse am I, T.A.?

No suggestion on the story. Sorry.
