Wet Wednesday

So last night, I was happily adding more background story to The Vanguard…earlier in the story than where we are now. πŸ™‚ I actually ended up adding a whole new first chapter. As I was re-reading it, I realized I dropped us right into the story without any real build-up…which is fine for the blog story, but need more for the full story. Anyway, I was typing away..adding little things here and there when Lila (wonderful friend..taskmaster she is) reminds me that I need to get my Valentine’s story finished if I want her to look it over for me before I have to submit it.

Darn it, she’s right. It has to be submitted by June 1 and I don’t want to end up doing it the day before….lol. Not a good impression to make about hitting deadlines. If it gets accepted, it’ll be for a new-to-me publisher, Samhain. If not, I’ll re-work it (which means add more to it) and send it to LSB.

So, I closed Vanguard down and was about to open Out of Bounds when storms blew in. I ended up writing more of the story out in long hand. I’ll be typing it in today to see where I’m at in the story. I’ve got to add a couple of sex scenes (always fun). It needs to be around 25k and I’m at 17k at the moment. There isn’t any doubt I’ll reach the word count needed…though I might go over a little.

Umm…other than that, I didn’t do anything except watch the latest episode of Sopranos (the coolest theme song ever) and the hockey game. Detroit Red Wings won 5-0, but not before Anahiem tried to take Tomas Holmstrom out. The man is the toughest s.o.b. in hockey, imo. His forehead was split open and he probably had a concussion, but he came back after they stitched him up. Just no quit in that man.

Well, I hope you all have a great Wednesday..just keep telling yourself there’s only two more days left before the weekend.

Hmm sports. Buff men in tight shorts, swopping shirts at the end of the match. Yum yum. Don’t get much hockey here, but soccer and rugby are my sports. No padding in those games! Just yummy bodies to drool over (faces are not always good!).

Of course you have minions, TA. Salivating hordes just waiting to devour your every word. Hope you get that Valentine’s day story finished in time.

    PS LOVE the eye candy.

That’s all right, Lila. The Ducks have two more games to get back into it. (though I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they don’t)

aww crap. anaheim is losing? boo

    (I’m such a bad fan)

hockey is great. It doesn’t matter if you play for fun or professionally. πŸ™‚

I would have thought Buffalo would have given the Sens a tougher fight. But that Sens team is scary good. It’ll be a tough series no matter which Western team gets in.

Nope..don’t play. My last experience on skates was less than stellar. Staked right into a tree…lol. On a pond outside. Of course, maybe if I was watching where I was going, and not watching the cute boy skating across the pond from me, I wouldn’t have met the tree so up close and personal…lmao.

Oh, it doesn’t have to be a goalie. I was thinking more of a hot center or winger. Or maybe a tough defenseman.

    TA,
He plays wing on an adult B league team. He’s having a great time even if it is an “old mans” league.
Buffalo is going to go down to the Sens in straight games. It’s a shame really BUT that would put two great teams in the finals. I’m leaning toward the Sens taking it- the cup needs to go to Canada for a change.:)
    Do you play at all?
Naaa- can’t see hot sweaty sex in a goalie outfit;) Takes toooo long to get out of it-lol

    Yvonne,

Yep…I love hockey. πŸ™‚ I’ll watch just about any other sport, but if there’s a hockey game on, I’ll definitely watch that over anything else.

The Wings are on a roll and it’s been interesting to watch the teams playing against them completely lose their minds. First round, the Flames had a melt down. San Jose at least seemed to hold it together a little better, but I thought for sure Anahiem was going to fall apart. (which they did to a certain extent)

lol..as you can tell, I’m a huge hockey fan. Hmm…maybe I should write a book about a hockey player. I see a story idea arriving.

You have every right to brag. That’s a pretty awesome accomplishment for your son. What position does your husband play?

  8. Yvonne says:

TA- you have just elevated yourself from just a cool dude to THE MAN! You’re into HOCKEY!!!! My husband plays and my son played goalie from Squirt level thru high school(bragging coming up:)) where he backstopped his team to a regional level championship.
As much as I want to see Anahiem play well(the coach used to be from the Capitals)- Red Wings are on a major roll!
Now-at least until the middle of June-there is something else I can drool over with you in mind.lol

lol…Loopy, I thought the same thing. Actually, I thought I have minions? Wow, how cool is that. πŸ™‚

I guess by looking forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays, it makes the week go by quicker.

I’m not a huge Sopranos fan, but everytime I hear that song I think of the show. It’s called Woke Up This Morning by A3.

Wow…I didn’t know this but the song is about female empowerment, not the mob. Hmm..interesting.

I’m glad to know other people are counting the days..lol.

  11. loopdlu says:

oooh, we’re MINIONS??? how cool is THAT??? lol and lisa’s right…Tue/Thurs are the beginning/ends of weeks for us. everything in between is just filler.

  12. Lisa C. says:

You look forward to the weekend – your minions mark their time by Tuesday and Thursday.

I’ve not heard the Sopranos theme song – I’ll have to check it out – always in the market for new music.

The 21st will be here in a little over 5 days – how exciting!
