Wednesday’s WiPs

Yes, Wednesday are reserved for letting everyone know how I’m doing on my word count for the stories I’m working on, but I thought I’d start by letting everyone know that Lisa Andel has a new book out today at Ellora’s Cave. Flame Angel is hot…hot…hot. (Like all of Lisa’s books…lol) *It’s not up for buying yet on EC’s site, so just check back a little later*

Also, Emily Veinglory has a new novella out at Torquere Press. It’s in The Call, edited by Rob Knight about werewolves. Jourdan Lane and BA Tortuga have stories in there as well. I’ll be picking that one up. Looks good. (I’ve given you the link to the pdf file, but it’s also available in other formats and print as well)

Okay, for what you’ve all come to find out. (Or maybe not, but I like to think you really do care to know how much I’ve slaved away on my stories. *wink*)

Without further ado, here we go:

Home of his Own: 27,431/50,000 (for a total of 2,839 words written since last Wednesday)

The Vanguard: 43,329/55,000 (for a total of 2,867 words since last Wednesday)

The Gypsy Devil: 13,477/50,000 (for a total of 164 words since last Wednesday)

That gives me 5,870 words in a week. Not great at all, but still that doesn’t take into account what I’ve written on a new vampyre story and a western I started. Those are written in a journal I keep and won’t be typed in until I’m ready to start working on them. The three listed here are the ones I’m focusing most of my attention on. As you can see, I’m closest to finishing The Vanguard. πŸ™‚

Still haven’t heard anything about Out of Bounds or Understanding Forgiveness. Those are two stories floating around out in limbo. I’ll admit it drives me crazy having books done and out there that there’s nothing concrete I can tell you about. πŸ™ But I’m sure it won’t be long and you’ll be the first to know.

Have a great Wednesday.

So you don’t think you wrote much? I didn’t get ANY written this week, even forgot to check-in with my group ~blush~.

I love reading about your updates, what you’re reading and any other little thing you care to share. Normally, you’re a “check first thing, everyday” but I’m packing and my schedule is all messed up. I’m crossing my fingers that I can sneak in the morning for my Vanguard fix, otherwise I’ll miss a whole week.

Mr. Chase, wow you have a lot of irons in the fire! I know I speak for all of your minions – we really appreciate the work you put into your stories as well as the time and effort you put into your blog. Thank you! And a big thank you goes to C too for generously sharing you.

Yah know- since I think you are now an “autobuy” author for lots of us – the publishers would take notice- I hope to see both Out of Bounds an Understanding Forgiveness soon on a publishers site. kudos on the amount of writing done

Thanks, Yvonne. πŸ™‚ I’d like the word counts to have been higher, but still I did accomplish something, so I can’t complain too much. πŸ™‚

I’m sure I will. I like all three authors.

And I’ll be answering your email in a little bit. Have to do some investigating..lol
