Sunday again..

No eye candy today…though I consider Anderson Cooper one of the sexiest guys in the world. πŸ˜‰

I got some writing done. Not a ton, but I didn’t think I’d get anything worked on yesterday.

Mostly though I read Mr. Cooper’s book, Dispatches From the Edge. He goes back and looks at 2005, starting with the tsunami and ending with Katrina. With stops in Irag and Niger along the way.

It’s a fascinating book because he intersperes the present with his thoughts and memories of his past. You get to see that no matter how hard he tries to be objective and dispassionate about the news he’s reporting, he’s unable to keep it from effecting him.

I remember his outburst while interviewing a state government official last year after Katrina. I was impressed. For a moment, maybe we were given a glimpse inside him. I don’t know. It’s hard to tell whether you’re seeing the real person on tv or if it’s just an image they’re projecting, but either way, the book is intriguing and sad.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday.

I finished reading his book and I can totally understand why he had a meltdown during Katrina. All his past losses finally caught up with him.

He does seem more interested in getting the story out than badgering his guests.

    I love his show. πŸ™‚

Sherrill, thanks. I thought it was fitting for Anderson Cooper as well as all of us. πŸ™‚

T.A.: I love Anderson Cooper. I admire him…his passion. I mean this is someone who really doesn’t have to work. He’s a vanderbilt for goodness sakes and yet he puts himself on the line, physically and emotionally all the time. You can see his ghosts when he gets emotional…talking for those who can’t speak, seeing those who are unseen. Oh yes, I love AC. And the grey hair? Catch me…so damn sexy!

I adore Anderson Cooper – not to the extent of Kate. I was riveted watching him down in New Orleans. I think, no matter how hard he tries, he can’t be impartial when he’s reporting.

It’s why I watch Anderson 360 and few other CNN shows. I like the level of humanity he brings to his reports. Plus – he’s massively sexy. Those eyes! Grrr.

Good post, T.A. I especially like the quote today. πŸ™‚
