Something about This Movie
There’s just something about this movie that I adore. 🙂 Maybe it’s big blonde men killing things with large swords. 😉 I don’t know. But I might just have every line of this movie memorized.
I tried to read the book it was based on, but couldn’t make it out of the first chapter.
The movie is mysterious, epic and in it’s own way, romantic.
What movie could you watch over and over without getting tired of? Do you have any favorite quotes from the movie?
“Fear profits a man nothing.” is one of my favorite quotes from the movie.

Loved the 13th Warrior and I need to watch it more often. The laguage scene is my fav, I get goosebumps everytime.
Serentiy is right up there too w/ both Underworlds. Gah, I’m gonna have to go on a movie watching spree this weekend!
T.A. — Kay’s short Crossing the Veil is INCREDIBLE. Hot hot m/m lovin’ all over the place. I just read it last night.
I highly recommend it, if you get a chance to pick it up!!
Hey Kay-
Great to have you drop by. I hope you enjoy HBD. It was a fun story to write. Have to get working on the next one in the series. I get the feeling George and Mordred are going to start getting pushy. 🙂
Ah..Blackmore’s Night. I just love their sound. They’re one of the best bands (imo) that no one’s hear of. lol
SW…
Yeah, I loved the language scene as well. One of my other favors is when he takes his horse and shows the Northmen what it can do. I just like the expressions on some of the men’s faces. So that you know not all of them think he’s a joke for coming along. 🙂
One of my other favorite lines…I’d rather prefer a dragon
I watched Beowulf & Grendel the other night and the red-haired guy from 13th Warrior was in it. Every time I saw him all I could think of was that line..Can I give it to me daughter? lol
Hi there! I finally got a copy of Here Be Dragons and thought I pop over here and check out your blog. 😀 I LOOOOVE 13th Warrior! And Blackmore’s Night! Wow, can’t believe I’ve found another fan! 😀 (Seems like hardly anyone knows about them. LOL)

Oh! I’m totally with you on The Thirteenth Warrior! LOVED the movie, couldn’t slog through the book to save my life…
Hmmm, favorite line? Maybe…
Bet on him, if you like.
Or this one: When you die, can I give that to me daughter?
But I absolutely love the scene where he learns their language. So well done! 🙂
Oooh I bought Firefly after I saw Serenity. Grabbed it for a bargain too.
Serenity has some great lines. “Goin’ on a year now I ain’t had nothin’ twixt my nethers weren’t run on batteries!
I could go on…but I think eyes will start to cross.
Oops and that was “AIM” to misbehave.
Nice choice, Elisa. 🙂 I enjoyed that movie.
“Someone like it hot”, 1959, Billy Wilder. Quotes: Nobody is perfect. Ciao, elisa
lol..Jenna, you’re right. Every time I see it running on cable I have to watch it. And I own the dvd. I’m going to pick up the complete season of Firefly. 🙂
Great motto and perfect for you, I think.
Serenity…over and over and over again without being bored. Joss Whedon is frickin’ brilliant. I am to misbehave. Now there’s a motto to live by!!
