Poetry Train

With Me…

Come with me
Let me wrap you in my arms.
I’ll protect you from the dark.

Sit with me.
Let me warm you.
I’ll give you a safe place to hide.

Talk with me.
Let me listen to you.
I’ll share your secrets and tell you mine.

Laugh with me.
Let me make you smile.
I’ll show you joy.

Spend time with me.
Let me give you support.
I’ll be your friend.

Awesome poem, TA, good luck with the publishing (I want a copy when it comes out). 🙂

Ahh, TA, now THIS is my idea of the ideal life partner. *glances over at the person in question angrily*

    Melissa,

First off, congrats on your ms winning the Heat Wave contest. You’ll have to keep us posted on when it’s going to come out and what your book is about. 🙂 I bet you’re walking on air.

I’m still working out the logistics of the whole poetry collection thing, but as soon as I figure everything out, I’ll let you know what’s going on. 🙂

This is beautiful. You’ve captured in a few lines the deepest desire we all hare: someone who loves us, understands us and accepts us. You better do a collection. I would love to have these poems to read whenever.

Some news to share. My story, Michael’s Keeper, was selected as one of the winning manuscripts for Amber Quill Press’ Amber Heat Wave Contest. I have been in orbit all weekend!

    Have a great day!
