So much for unconditional love

Laughing
Hoping

Getting closer to you
Pulling away from you
A friendship with limitations
So much for unquestioning love

Doubting
Believing
Trusting
Deceiving

Supporting your dreams
Crushing my own
A friendship with an end
So much for ever-lasting love.

Isn’t that how some relationships go? One wanting more than the other. Then bitterness builds until the friendship is over. 🙁
