Pimping Books….

Today, we’re pimping Kiernan Kelly’s books. Riding Heartbreak Road is the first of Kiernan’s books I’ve read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Who wouldn’t? Cowboys and hot man love. Yum. It’s available in paperback as well. πŸ™‚

Kiernan has several other books out, so I suggest stopping by Kiernan’s site to check out the other ones. I’ve enjoyed all of them so far. Definitely on my auto-buy list.

And stop by Elisa’s blog. You can vote for me as the Best Blog Author for 2006. Click here to head over there. (You might have to scroll down a little)

Okay because both Rhian and Shayla memed me, I’ll be posting eight more things about me that no one knows…except those closest to me. (I know since I got tagged by two people I should do sixteen, but I can’t think of sixteen things..lol)

1. I love William Shanter-not because I’m a Trekkie fan or anything, but because he’s confident enough that he can make fun of himself and because he love horses. (no one who loves horses can be all bad.)

2. I’m fascinated by sharks and snakes. So primeval. They could teach us a lesson on survival-if we’d just listen and watch them instead of killing them.

3. My idea of camping or roughing it, is a hotel without room service. πŸ™‚

4. I lust after men with tattoos. Must be the bad boy in me or the urge to have a bad boy of my own.

5. My favorite spot on a man is the soft skin right at the hip. πŸ˜‰

6. Before I die (which I’m planning will be a long time from now) I want to take a horseback riding trip around Ireland. I’ve always wanted to see Ireland and what better way to see it than on the back of a horse.

7. Like Jude Law’s character in The Holiday, I’m easily brought to tears. Usually if there’s an animal involved somehow.

8. Finally the last one, I believe in reincarnation and that we really do have soulmates in the world.

I’m tagging Lila Dubois (who doesn’t have a blog, but I’m willing to let her take over mine.) and Pagie Burns (who’s website/blog is down at the moment, so she’ll be using mine as well). I know I’m not playing this right because I’m only tagging those two, but at the moment, I can’t think of six other people…lol.

Here are the rules according to whomever likes to makeup rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

    ciao, elisa

  2. Shayla Kersten says:

Kewl! I like Shanter too but I’m a Trekker from way back.

I don’t like snakes or sharks. Someone once offered to take me shark hunting. I refused unless he was planning on using the QEII! I wouldn’t get anywhere near chum filled water in anything smaller.

Glad you tagged Lila. I wanted to but she didn’t have a blog!

I like the cover for In Bear Country. I’ll have to check out some of the artist’s other work. πŸ™‚

    Rhian,

Paige’s been out of town for the week, then her website went down. She’ll get it fixed, but I told her she could take my blog for the day. Maybe I’ll get both her and Lila to do it on the same day. πŸ™‚

I’m not much of an outdoorsman…that’s for sure.

  5. Elisa says:

I don’t know who is the cover artist for Riding Hearbreak Road, and also I like this cover. The cover artist for In Bear Country is H. Rose Meloche, I like very much is works, and she was my blog’s guest some weeks ago.

  6. Rhian / Crowwoman says:

    Cover your ears: SQUEEEEEE!
Hugs and kisses for doing this! Number 3 made me laugh and number 8 I concur. All of it was wonderful to find out. And thanks for tagging Lila-doll. I was wondering what was up with Paige – frustrating not to be able to find her. You rock darlin’.

  7. T.A.Chase says:

I have to say I think In Bear Country might be my favorite so far. But I like the cover for Heartbreak Road. That’s why I picked that one.

  8. Lisa Andel says:

    Tattoos.
    Bad boys.
    Great visuals here.

I should have known about the snakes thing. πŸ˜‰

  9. Elisa says:

I have read Riding Heartbreak Road and really enjoyed it (and I have also cried in the end). Another cowboy story by Kiernan is Two Spirits and not really a cowboy story, but setting in the west of the late nineteen century, is In Bear Country. In absolute this last is my favourite.

  10. T.A.Chase says:

I watched the Rolex Equestrian Championships on Sunday and they had a commerical for the USET. Shatner did the voiceover for it and I had tears in my eyes by the end of it. I’m such a sap…lol.

  11. Lisa C. says:

I’ve read “Riding Heartbreak Road”, I enjoyed it very much.

William Shanter – I had a dream once that he kissed me – IT WAS THE BEST DREAM KISS I EVER HAD!

    Have a good weekend!
