Allergies #1

I wanted to thank everyone for making Allergies the #1 best seller at Amber Allure for the month of April. 🙂 I really appreciate the way you all get behind my stories, especially my blog stories that get released by a publisher.

Not much got done writing wise the past two weeks or so. The ‘real’ world intruded…lol. Darn it. But I plan on getting back into the swing of things and get some stuff done soon.

I hope you all had a great weekend and I see that you’ve been enjoying Bitter Creek’s Redemption. Yes, I’m an evil man…lol.

Have a great Monday, everyone.

Another new cover and more edits…

For all of you who are impatiently waiting for Dreaming of Dragons, I reveal my new cover. Makes it all so much more real, doesn’t it? 🙂 Another Anne Cain original. I think it’s a perfect match to Here Be Dragons. I just received my first set of edits for DoD as well. So I’ll be working on that within the next few days.

His Heart’s Home is coming along and so are a few others that I’ve been working on once in a while when I need a small break from HHH.

Hey you should stop by Wave’s blog. She’s having a big blog birthday party with some cool posts and awesome prizes. Also, I’ll remind you all tomorrow, but starting tomorrow, I’ll be hanging out at DIK (Desert Island Keepers) blogging about heroes and music. (maybe…lol.)

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. 🙂

Two New Covers

Nowhere Diner: Finding Love will be out in July. Here’s the unedited blurb:

Leaving Minnesota, Timothy Gapin doesn’t have any plans except getting as far away from all the memories as he can before his money runs out.

Stopping at a diner for dinner, Tim finds more than a good meal, he finds a family and meets Bernie Capley, a long haul trucker who isn’t all that he seems.

Falling in love with Bernie is easy for Tim, but the past has a way of barging into the present, forcing decisions that could affect the future.

And Death or Life will hopefully be out in June. I just completed my first set of edits on it. 🙂 Here’s the blurb for this one.

Noah Wiltson wants nothing more than to be left alone. His father’s candidacy for President forces him to have secrets. Imagine his surprise when a hired killer gives him the means to live his life without doubt or fear.

The killer knows this hit is going to be his last. Whether he chooses to walk away or whether they kill him. He’s never been a team player, so he ends the game on his terms.

A few months later, Noah meets Cain Packert, a man who intrigues and excites him. Only one of them knows the truth. Can they find love amid secrets and threats?

Pretty nice covers, don’t you think? 🙂 Oh and for the person who said to get working on the Dragons story. The story is already done and in the hands of my editor. I’m just waiting for my edits. I’m hoping it’ll be released soon.

Hope you all have a great Monday.

Ghost of a Chance available

My St. Patrick’s Day ghost story, Ghost of a Chance, is available now from Loose-id. 🙂 I thought I’d post another excerpt for you. (don’t worry Bitter Creek’s Redemption will be updated tomorrow..lol)

Blurb:

Padraig Monaghan has a problem. Most would consider dying in a bar fight ten years ago upsetting, and existing as a ghost wandering the world might be thought a real predicament. They might deem a second chance at life through a chance encounter with a dying man a serious dilemma. But for Padraig, finding himself face to face with the man he’d loved and lost a lifetime ago is the biggest thing on his mind.

Gareth Reilly stops at O’Toole’s for a drink before he heads home. Tomorrow’s going to be another lonely birthday for him until he’s approached by a stranger. There’s something about Padraig’s bright green eyes and Irish accent that reminds Gareth of a man he once knew. Unable to resist, Gareth breaks his cardinal rule and invites Padraig home.

On St. Patrick’s Day, when Irish magic is strongest, it’ll take a belief in the impossible and help from a grateful elf to give Padraig and Gareth another chance at love.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, violence.

Excerpt:

A slow song filled the bar and a few couples floated onto the makeshift dance floor. Padraig stood, and holding out his hand to Gareth, he asked, “Would you like to dance with me?”

Tilting his head, Gareth studied him for a moment or two before standing and taking his hand. A thrill raced from Padraig’s hand to his heart and groin. They wound their way through the tables to the dance floor. Padraig kept Gareth’s hand in his and wrapped his arm around Gareth’s waist, pulling him close. Not too close, though. He didn’t want Gareth feeling uncomfortable.

He needn’t have worried about that. Gareth played with the curls at the nape of Padraig’s neck and didn’t protest as Padraig tucked their hands to his chest. They moved in time with the music, slowly maneuvering around the floor. Padraig stroked his fingers along the small of Gareth’s back, relishing the way the slender man fit in his arms. With each turn, he eased Gareth closer to him until their bodies were pressed tighter than two sardines in a can. Gareth rested his cheek on Padraig’s chest and sighed.

Padraig slid his free hand down to cup Gareth’s ass and rubbed their erections together. Would Gareth moan as softly when he was being fucked or would he be loud? Padraig buried his face in Gareth’s strawberry blond curls, breathing in the familiar scent of Gareth’s soap. Surprising that Gareth still used the same stuff that Padraig remembered from the few times he’d gotten close enough to Gareth.

He ignored the end of the first song and kept his hold on Gareth while the next one started.

Gareth didn’t seem inclined to stop. Moving slightly, he nuzzled Gareth’s ear and nibbled along Gareth’s chin.

“Oh,” Gareth breathed, letting his head fall back to give Padraig more access to his throat.

“You smell just like I remember,” Padraig murmured.

“What?” Gareth tensed.

“You smell better than anyone I remember,” he improvised, hoping he covered his tracks. He scraped his teeth over Gareth’s jugular, causing the man in his arms to shiver.

Ghost of a Chance Cover

Woot! Anne Cain did it again, everyone. 🙂 Another awesome cover by the cover goddess herself.

I’m not sure if I remembered to mention this, but Bitter Creek’s Redemption will be postponed one day (until Wednesday) this week because Ghost comes out on Tuesday, so I’ll be posting an excerpt on St. Patrick’s Day. 🙂

But if you’d like a sneak peek, Elisa has posted an excerpt from the book on her livejournal today. Stop by and check it out. 🙂

Nowhere Diner: Finding Love was finished on Friday. I’m going to go through and clean it up before sending it on to the publisher I’ve picked for it. I’ll let you all know how that goes as soon as I find out.

Hope you all are having a great weekend.

High Line out today

Woo-hoo! Garrett’s story is finally out. Or will be out soon, I’m sure…lol. As soon as it’s up on the front page at Samhain, I’ll post the link. 🙂

Available now…http://www.mybookstoreandmore.com/shop/product.da/high-line

Here’s the blurb:

Will giving him the green flag lead to love…or heartache?

The Love of Sports Series, Book 2

CJ Lamont is at the top of the racing world but his winning record is based on a carefully constructed lie. His world falls apart when his ex-wife reveals the truth. As he hits rock bottom, rescue comes from an unexpected source—Garrett Johnson, Hollywood’s hottest leading man.

Garrett’s acting career is taking off, bringing him accolades he’d never imagined. Good friends and family keep his days hopping, but watching his twin brother fall in love exposes the emptiness in Garrett’s life created by the betrayal of his ex-lover.

Garrett offers CJ a place to heal and a shoulder to lean on, telling himself it’s only to keep CJ from taking a more destructive path. But as time passes, the two men grow closer and CJ realizes he has a decision to make—whether to rebuild his fictitious life, or admit to loving a man who shines brighter than the Hollywood stars.

Will he reach for the star or sink back into his old life?

Warning: This title contains hot man love, sticky situations with honey, fast cars and faster men.

Excerpt:

“Actually, how long are you staying in L.A.?” Garrett led him back toward the room he’d woken up in.

“Don’t know. I don’t really have anywhere to go.”

Pain trickled in his heart. His home in Charlotte was besieged by reporters. He’d run to the opposite coast, looking for somewhere he could hide.

“Why don’t I have my security guy, Quentin, go to your hotel, grab your stuff and you can stay here?” Garrett stopped outside his room.

“What about you?” He opened the door, confused.

“I’m leaving in a few days and won’t be around for a month or so.”

CJ forced his body to stay in place while Garrett reached out to cup his cheek. His lips were stroked by a rough thumb. He licked Garret’s skin, tasting salt and something spicy.

Garrett groaned and slid his hand into CJ’s hair, pulling him closer. CJ managed not to tense. God, he wanted to share another kiss with him.

Their lips brushed together with a gentleness he’d never imagined two men could feel. It seemed like Garrett was trying not to make him nervous. Nerves weren’t his problem. Garrett was the only man he’d ever kissed. Denying his urges made it hard to get any experience. He wrapped his arms around Garrett’s waist, leaning against the actor’s chest.

“Open for me,” Garrett ordered softly.

CJ opened his lips, allowing Garrett’s tongue in. He shivered as Garrett teased the roof of his mouth. He moaned and rocked his erection against Garrett’s thigh.

He protested as Garrett eased away from him. “Please.”

“Go to bed,” Garrett murmured. “It’s late.”

“Wait. Why save my ass from that guy and put me up in your house?” He didn’t understand why Garrett would choose to do something for a guy he’d met a year ago and never talked to since.

“Aside from it being one of the finest asses I’ve seen, I don’t know. Probably guilt more than anything else. Someone very close to me slid down the path you’re taking. By the time I noticed, it was too late. If I can help someone else, maybe it’ll atone for my negligence. Besides, remember what I told you the last time I saw you; if you needed anything, I would help you out. Well, I’m thinking you need a friend and I’m willing to be it.” Garrett brushed a quick kiss over CJ’s cheek. “Goodnight.”

Wave has given High Line 5 out of 5 stars already.

Also, Dana Marie Bell has a book releasing today along with me. 🙂 Very Much Alive is a great story..imo. 🙂 So check that one out when you stop by Samhain to pick up High Line. (Not a very subtle hint, huh?..lol)

And remember Bitter Creek’s Redemption’s next installment will be up tomorrow.

Have a great day.

New Cover and Guest Blogging

I got the cover for Allergies yesterday. 🙂 This will be out April 5th at Amber Allure and then roughly two weeks later, it’ll be out in print. Woo-hoo! I got my first edits last night, so I’ll be doing those this weekend.

I’ve been working away on Nick of Time and His Heart’s Home, doing some writing on each story. Nick will be done first, more than likely, simply because I’m farther along on it at the moment.

I’m guest blogging over at the Erotic Muses again. I’m talking about Where the Devil Dances, my story in the Hearts Afire: January duet with Bonnie Dee. Stop by and say hi if you get a chance. 🙂

Hope you all are warm and safe today. Have a great weekend.

Poetry Train #85

It comes out today. I’ll post the link as soon as it becomes available. 🙂 I hope you enjoy both stories if you pick it up.

Woo-hoo! It’s live. Click here to check it out.

I thought I’d post an excerpt for you all to enjoy while you’re waiting for Hearts Afire to come out. 🙂

Blurb:

Scars aren’t always on the outside. Architect Eric Sandel is living proof. He moves to Morley after surviving a terrible fire in order to rebuild his life and hopes designing the new Opera House will help him bury the past.

Firefighter David Browdie hasn’t had time for serious relationships, his “on call” status tends to leave relationships in the dust. When he meets Eric at the neighborhood dog park, sparks fly and he thinks maybe this time, serious will win after all.

But a demon from Eric’s past haunts him. David and Eric must work together to find a way to stop the madman before they all go up in flames.

Warning: m/m love, dangerous obsessions and cute dogs.

Excerpt:

Eric’s pale cheeks flushed pink. The man was stunning. Unblemished skin covered high cheekbones and a thin nose. Plump lips begged for David’s kiss. Shy ice-blue eyes met his and a wry grin lifted those lips. Shoulder-length sable hair was pulled back to reveal a pink triangle earring.

David didn’t think about it, just stroked his fingers over the slope of Eric’s nose.

“I’m my plastic surgeon’s masterpiece.” Eric stepped back and gestured for him to come in.

“The man is a genius,” David muttered as he entered the house.

Sadie skidded up to greet him. Kneeling, he scratched the dog’s ears and accepted her welcoming licks. He wrestled with her for a few minutes before giving Raoul some attention.

Standing up, his eyes met Eric’s and the happy light in them broke what little control he had over his body. Reaching out, he grasped Eric’s hips with a light touch. He had enough mental ability to remember Eric’s comments last night about being in pain from scars and touching.

“I’m going to kiss you. If you don’t want that, you’d better stop me now,” he warned Eric.

Eric’s pale blue eyes widened, but there wasn’t any movement to stop him. David leaned in, pressing his mouth to Eric’s enticing lips. A puff of hot air brushed over his lips when the younger man gasped. David nibbled along his plump bottom lip and teased his tongue over the sensitive roof of Eric’s mouth.

Eric’s hands fluttered by his shoulders before cradling the back of his head. David took the kiss a little deeper, still moving slow. For some reason he wasn’t willing to think about at the moment, he didn’t want to frighten Eric off. He didn’t want to move too fast either.

Keeping his hands on Eric’s hips, he trailed kisses along Eric’s high cheekbones and learned the curve of his jaw. The tip of his tongue became familiar with the soft spot right behind Eric’s ear that made the man shiver. He took a step closer, invading Eric’s personal space. They both groaned as their erections brushed.

David became lost in the scents and textures of Eric’s skin. He discovered where his limits were. Eric tensed each time he nuzzled the collar or touched the hem of the man’s long sleeved t-shirt. He wondered about the scars and how bad they really were for a brief second.

A heavy weight settled against his leg, threatening to tip him over. He steadied them and glanced down. Sadie stared up at him with innocent brown eyes. He couldn’t help but laugh.

Remember, I’ll post the live link as soon as they come out tonight. It’s usually around 6-7pm. So check back here or go hit refresh on the Liquid Silver site…lol.

Hope you all have a great Monday.

New Cover and various news

First of all, I got the final cover for my January release. My story, Where the Devil Dances, is part of the year long Hearts Afire series featuring firemen (or women…which ever one the author picks…lol) Bonnie and I are kicking off the series with two hot m/m romances for you. Check it out here. While you’re there, browse through all the coming soon books and see the Hearts Afire books coming out in the next several months as well.

Second of all, I know some of you have noticed the newest Coming Soon cover posted on the sidebar of my blog. Yes, Allergies will be published by Amber Allure, the GLBT imprint from Amber Quill Press. It’ll be coming out in the beginning of April in ebook form(tentatively…lol…most dates I give you will be tentative dates from all my publishers.) with the print version releasing a couple of weeks later. (again tentatively) Amber Allure is where I’ll be sending Nick of Time when I finish it. 🙂

Thirdly, (is that a word..lol) I wanted to thank everyone who bought Home of his Own this year. It is in the Top 8 Best Sellers at Liquid Silver Books and it’s all because of you. So thanks bunches. 🙂 If you want to check out the other best sellers, click here or here. Tina at LSB was gracious enough to post all this information for readers and authors.

Fourth, I want to thank everyone who has stopped by my blog throughout the year. It doesn’t matter whether you leave a comment or not. Or even if you email me personally to tell me what you think about what I’ve posted every day. I’m thrilled that you make my blog a daily stop for you. I’m hoping you’ll continue to do so in 2009. I have a bunch of great books coming out next year and this is the spot to catch the covers and excerpts and eye candy. 🙂

Last, I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve. May 2009 be the best year of your life so far and may you read a ton of awesome books.

A book or Two I think you should know about…

One Touch, One Glance: A Sweet Romance Anthology came out yesterday, starring none other than a frequent commenter here at No Boundaries and one of my bestest online friends, Jambrea Jo Jones. I’ll admit I haven’t gotten a chance to read all of the stories in the antho yet, but I know for a fact that Jambrea’s story, The Forever Guy, is awesome. 🙂 If you’re looking for something sweet that isn’t fattening for the holidays…lol..then I think you’ll like this book.

Another story I think you might like is My Fair Monster by Lila Dubois. It’s paranormal..has monsters, Hollywood and hot…hot…sex. With intriguing uses for electric toothbrushes that I’m sure the manufacturers never planned on…lol.

I’m doing some more writing on Tabloid Star..whose heroes’ inspirations you saw on Monday. On Friday, I plan to show you who I’m using as inspiration for Max and Derek of His Heart’s Home.

Plus I have to say thank you again to everyone who has bought Bound by Love. I’m still holding on to the #1 spot on Samhain’s Top Ten Bestseller list. It’s been close to a week with some other wonderful books being released in that time, so I’m amazed and humbled that I’ve managed to last this long.

Thank you all again and I hope you’re having a great Wednesday.
