Happy Hunk Day.

Morning, everyone. How goes your Wednesday? Mine’s fine right now. No one in the office with me. It’s rather nice…lol.
Hmmm…what to talk about? Not much going on in my mind at the moment which shouldn’t be a big surprise. I haven’t had my caffeine for the day yet. Writing is going well. I’m happy at the word count I have for His Heart’s Home and I started a ghost story for St. Patrick’s Day that I plan on sending to one of my publishers when it’s finished. Hopefully the characters for that one keep talking to me. It shouldn’t be a problem..the ghost has a lot to say since no one’s talked to him in ten years. 🙂 (Since he became a ghost).
Hope you have a great day.

Why do I love you?
There’s nothing special about you.
You’re average in every way.
But when you laugh,
You make me smile.
When you cry,
You make me hurt.
When you touch,
You turn me on.
When you love me,
You steal my heart.
Why do I love you?
To me you are everything
I’ve wanted.

Stop by Monday Poetry Train to check out who else is has jumped on board.
Also, I’m running a contest for the month of November. It’s for members of my newsletter. (Don’t worry…if you sign up for my newsletter-the link thing is on the sidebar-you won’t be overwhelmed with emails from me. I think the most I’ve done is maybe three during a month. It depends on if I have a release or not.) To celebrate my upcoming release, Bound by Love, I’m giving away a 2009 calendar titled Studs ‘N Spurs. Hot cowboys, what more can you ask for? lol. You have until Dec. 2nd to enter and I’ll draw the name of the winner then. Oh and so you know, I’m running basically the same contest for the month of December, only I’ll be giving away a New York Firemen calendar to celebrate the release of my January book, Where the Devil Dances. 🙂
Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, everyone. Hope if you’re planning on trick or treating tonight, you have good weather for it. 🙂
Good news. I finished the story that was kicking my butt. Wrote the end last night. Woo-hoo! Now I can turn my attention to the next Home book. Max and Derek have been patiently waiting. Plus I have another story I want to work on as well. I don’t think Max’s story will take me very long to write because I’m looking forward to working on it and I’ve already got 10k done on it.
Hope you all have a great Halloween and a wonderful weekend.
Happy Hunk Day

Happy Wednesday, everyone. It’s kind of a blah day here and I’m not really interested in doing anything today. Especially work…lol. I’d love to stay home and write, but since that’s something I’d like doing every day, it’s not really newsworthy. 🙂
I hope you all have a great Wednesday.

Storm
Part Two-
Another night and you aren’t here. Part of me craves your arms, your heat and your very presence, anchoring me to this house…to this world. The air presses down on me, making my skin tingle, drawing me closer to the door. Cool air blows in through windows I’ve unlocked and opened. Windows you never allow unlocked, especially during the nights when creatures walk the moors unchained.
Clouds billow and roil, the very essence of rage and uncontrollable passion. I watch as they sweep over the land and turn the sky black. I wait, knowing he will appear and call to me. Lightning cracks and there he is, standing on the hill closest to your house. His eyes are on me, cold and guarded. I move closer, fighting the bindings you’ve placed on me. Lifting my hand, I reach out to him and in the next flash of light, he’s standing just outside the wide open door.
In my confused mind, I hear your voice, telling me not to go. You tell me he will destroy me, that he only wants my soul and has no use for my heart. I close my eyes, replacing his image with yours. I see the warmth of your smile and the obsession in your eyes. I hear the caring in your voice and feel the possession in your touch.
I jerk away as one cool finger traces over my cheek and I open my eyes to see that I’ve moved closer to him. The spells you’ve cast won’t allow him entrance to your home, but you assume the locks will keep me in. His pitch black eyes stare into mine and I reach out, caressing his lips with trembling fingertips. He wraps his lips around my finger, sucking me into his moist mouth.
Love and need war in me. He wants my soul and you want my heart. He will free me and you will cage me. His lust brings pain and yours brings captivity. Headlights wash over us and he hisses. I take another step, but you are there, gathering me in your arms and carrying me back inside.
The storm dies and the snap of the lock makes me shiver. I don’t know where the truth lies. Are you my doom or my salvation? Is he my destiny or my past?
Happy Friday…

It’s finally Friday. 🙂 Actually this week wasn’t too bad, but I’m going away this weekend, so I was hoping the week would go by quickly.
I do plan on doing some writing over the weekend, whenever I get a free moment. I’m getting closer and closer to finishing the story I’ve been working on for what seems like forever…lol. And I’m sure my editor would be happy that I finish it as well.
Hope all of you have a great weekend.
They say…

A picture is worth a thousand words….so what does this picture say to you? lol. If you can drag your eyes off it for a moment and get your brain functioning again. 🙂 I know I had problemes when I first saw it.
But now, story ideas are rolling around my head. What’s the story behind the “Trouble” tattoo on his butt? Is it a one-night stand sort of thing or have they been together for years? (though neither one of them look like they’re that old…lol) So many stories could be generated from just this one picture. I’m thrilled I found it.
Hope everyone has a great Wednesday. Just think only two more days until the weekend.

Storm
copyrighted c. 2008 T.A. Chase
Rain pounding on my window pane wakes me from my dreams. I climb from the bed, carefully tucking the blankets back around you. My toes curl from the cold floor as I move to the window and curl up on the seat to stare out of the water-streaked glass. The cool drafts sneaking in from around the window dance upon my chilled skin. I snag a blanket from a chair and wrap myself in it, watching the lightning dance along the sky. In the flash of each bolt, I see a figure standing on a hill. With each crack as the night becomes as bright as day, the person’s face becomes clearer to me.
Handsome beyond imagining, his black eyes swirl like the abyss he stands above. His dark hair dances upon the storm exploding around him. He wants me and my spirit calls to him. I rest my hand against the smooth glass and he raises his hand in response. A cruel smile races across his face and I shiver, knowing this stranger on the hill could own all of me if I venture outside during the storm.
“Love,” you call from the bed. “The storm wake you?”
I turn to flash a smile in your direction. “Yes. You know I can’t sleep during them.”
You sit up, letting the blankets pool around your waist, giving my eyes a broad chest to devour. Holding your hand out to me, you plead, “Come back to bed, love. You’ll get chilled sitting by the window.”
I can never refuse you, so I stand, leaving the blanket to rest on the seat I vacate. Drifting closer to you, I’m called one last time to look out the window. In a flash of white heavenly light, I see him standing there still and waiting. I hesitate, caught between the man on the hill and you in my bed.
“Love.” Your voice is low and insistent, ordering me back to your arms without words.
I slide under the blankets and snuggle against your warm body. You surround me with warmth and solidness. I let you anchor me to this room and our bed. Yet even while I fall under your spell once more, I hear his voice echoing in my head like thunder.
“Soon, my heart. Soon you’ll come back to me.”
In the quietness of my soul, I know those words are true. Soon the storm will grow too strong and I’ll break free of the magic you have cast to keep me with you. I’ll leave this house, returning to the chaos you captured me from and the arms of the man who owns me for eternity.
Finally Friday…

As I was cruising around the internetz, I found this particular model. He struck me as being exactly what I imagined Lord from Death or Life? to look like. Especially dressed like this. 🙂 What do you think? I’ll grab a couple different pics of him to post later.
Don’t have much planned for this weekend. I’m hoping to get to the theater to see Max Payne. I’ve never played the video game, so I’m not coming into it with unreasonable expectations…lol. And heck, it has Mark Wahlberg in it. He’s worth the price of admission.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Wednesday’s Hunk Day

I’m sitting here trying to think of something to post about, but nothing’s coming to mind…lol. Oh well. If you can think of any questions, go ahead and ask me. I’ll try to answer them. 😉
Hope you all have a great day.
