Wednesday’s Hunk Day
Happy Wednesday, everyone. 🙂
I’m sitting here trying to think of something to post about, but nothing’s coming to mind…lol. Oh well. If you can think of any questions, go ahead and ask me. I’ll try to answer them. 😉
Hope you all have a great day.

Bekah,
I’m glad you were able to spend time here and check out all my stories. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting as well. I always like to hear from my readers. 🙂
Jazz,
what books go to print varies from publisher to publisher. LSB, when they put books in print, look at the length of the book and how well it’s sold so far. Sometimes they put books into print for authors going to different conventions as well.
Samhain has a policy that if your book is long enough, it takes six months or so after it comes out in ebook form to go to print. They are willing to put two shorter stories together if they are connected to make one print book. 🙂
Hey T.A.
I just finished “Here be Dragons” and thought I would check out your blog when I got the chance. Unfortunately (Or fortunately for me:))I was home sick from work today and decided to take a look. I ended up spending a couple hours going back and reading your blog stories. I LOVE them, can’t wait until tomorrow.

Oooh another one…what’s the deciding factor on which e-book goes to print? Do you have any say in your books going to print?
Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes! Looking forward to Home Sweet Home, and everything else in between. Thanks much…
I write at a computer desk, Viv. Nothing fancy just metal and glass with one small lamp. I have Bumblebee from The Transformers on one of the desk shelves. Only he’s in the shape of the Camaro, not a robot. 😉
Blaidd-drwg,
You’re right. I reach a point in each of my stories where the characters truly become real to me. It’s almost like I can hear their distinct voices in my head and see them as well.
Melissa,
For me the best way to recharge is to watch movies or tv shows or even just go for a drive and listen music. I always seem to get ideas from those and it helps to get me thinking again. 🙂
Anonymous,
that might have been something I forgot to make sure and put in there…lol. Sometimes that happens, though I try very hard to make sure I tie up all my loose ends.
As for a sequel, I’m not sure if I’ll be doing one or not. So far, I don’t have any plans to write one, but you never know. If I do go back and visit that world again, I might go and tell the story of how the Vanguard was founded. I tell the overall general founding story in The Vanguard, but I think it could be its own story. Never know what kind of plot bunny might capture my attention.
Jazz,
sorry that I didn’t answer this before. Yes, Yancey and Juan are going to get their own story. It’s actually going to be the last one in the series, Home Sweet Home. I have to let them both grow up a little more and live a little before I let them settle down with each other. 🙂
Just stopping in to say Hi, TA
A question. Where do you write? On a laptop in a favourite chair, at a computer desk, etc.?
Oh, and WHERE do you find the yummy men in your pictures? Oh so drool worthy!!
I have an easy questions. What is your favorite color? 😀
Ugh the work was terrible and non-existent of course until the last hour when they suddenly had a pile… figures.
Thanks for answering the question. I can relate. It’s often a lot of fun thinking up stories and especially characters, because after a while you get to know them almost like they are your best friends.
And we’re sure glad that you were encouraged to actually finish!!
HI TA, have a great day, and oh by the way…
Can we have one of those installments that you finished ahead, TODAY???
sandie
Morning , TA! Hope you are having a great week.
What do you do to recharge the creative juices when nothing is flowing and your characters aren’t talking?
ta,
in the vangaurd, when stakel is working on rathian he finds something different with rathian’s blood. i don’t remember reading what it was. did i just miss it or will there be a follow up to the book?
I’ve asked before but I don’t think you answered…will Yancy and Juan from HOHO ever get a book?
Hey there, Kristie.
Have a great Wednesday and just think..only two more days until the weekend. 🙂
Nothing really to ask this morning. Just wanted to drop in and say hi….so HI!! Have a great hump day.
Yvonne,
I usually have a very general idea of how the story is going to go when I start. I might have the ending at first or a major scene in the story that I want the rest of the plot to lead up to, but I don’t plot or outline anything. I let the story evolve as I write.
Actually, not very often. I try hard to find just the right names for the characters when I start the story…whether it’s the meaning behind the name or the kind of feeling the name evokes. I think names are just as important as what they look like.
I have two stories that I’m working on where I’ve changed the names of one of the characters several times. In Devil’s Addiction, Darius (Beng’s love interest) has had his name changed at least twice and it might be changed again. In To Hell with the Devil, Teivel (the main character) went through one name change so far. 🙂
lol..I know that feeling, Blaidd-Drwg.
What made me start writing?
The voices in my head..lol. I think, like most writers, I’ve been writing since I can remember. Always making up stories to entertain myself at school and stuff like that.
I had a tendency to get so far on a story before all of a sudden getting another great idea and starting a different story. I could never finish one.
Then I started talking to some people on line and they encouraged me to actually sit down and finish one of those stories. That one turned out to be Here Be Dragons.
The rest as they say is history. 🙂
Morning, Joy. 🙂
That’s the truth, Jambrea. Sometimes an empty mind can be inspired by a picture…lol
Hi TA,
A related question, when you start a story, do you have all of it mapped out in your head or does it come in spurts?
Also, what about the characters names/descriptions.Have you gotten into a story and discovered that the character isn’t ‘acting or looking’ like a Edward or Glenn, or whatever you chose for a name?
Well since I’m bored out of my skull at work I have a question. Pretty basic, but I’m still curious:
What made you start writing?
Morning TA
My brain is empty but if I think of anything I’ll be back 🙂
Enjoy your Wednesday
Some times it is just nice to sit and drool over the pretty picture. 😀 Good Morning TA and welcome to Hump Day. heehee
Have a great day. I can’t wait to come back and see what everyone has to ask you. 🙂
