Derek St. Martin is Nashville’s hottest country singer. For eight years, fame and fortune have come his way, but he’s not happy. In fact, he’s on the edge of a nervous breakdown or checking into a drug rehab center. Hiding his sexual preferences is driving him to resort to numbing the pain. When his step-brother suggests he should go on vacation, Derek jumps at the chance to relax and get his head on straight.
Max Furlo isn’t happy. His bosses were leaving him in charge of some singer while he had other more important things to take care of. Seeing Derek St. Martin for the first time hits Max hard and, suddenly, he’s considering a summer fling.
Both men know that a relationship can never be for them. Derek’s career wouldn’t handle the news and Max can’t live a lie. Yet when a summer fling becomes love, who will be willing to risk it all for a chance at forever?

It was a great read, I loved it. I'm hoping for a sequel and a movie adaptation. If either happens anyways.
Loved it! The Home series is great. You had me crying when Derek was leaving and again when Max realized it was Derek was there in the room and not a dream. I'm with Melanie, Juan and Yancy should be next. I was shocked when Juan didn't come home for his birthday.

Got it and finished it. Loved Derek and Max's story. Now will Peter's story be next or Juan and Yancy's? I am thinking perhaps Juan and Yancy's because of Yancy's stalker and the fact that Juan didn't come home for his birthday. Wonderful , wonderful.
whoo hooo, got Carol Lynne's new Cattle Valley #16 yesterday and read it while waiting for Wishing to be released. Don't think I ever hit the refresh button so much before lol. But yeaaaa, finally it was there and read it soon as I got it. Loved it and now of course can't wait for the next one. Now got 2 days off with nothing new to read …sighing….
The story was very moving, can't wait for Yancey and Juan I hope Jasper doesn't put a kink in the plans. LOL Cynthia
