Wednesday….Hump Day

Good morning, everyone. 🙂 Not much to talk about, though it looks like it’s going to be a gorgeous day here. Finally…lol.

I’m writing away and trying to get some stories finished. Also, I thought I’d give you two new blurbs to chose from next Tuesday, so I have to write those up. I’m considering re-visiting a couple we’ve already met, but I’m not 100% percent sure on that.

What type of story would you all like me to write for the blog? I’ve covered just about every genre except horror and I’m not sure I’d ever attempt that since I don’t like reading it, I wouldn’t know the first thing about writing it.

I’d love to hear your suggestions. 🙂 Have a great day!

Have you ever considered trying your hand at a steam-punk story? So many possibilities 🙂

I don’t think I’ve read anything yet by you that wasn’t great but have to admit that Allergies and Nick of Time are my favs. Oh and of course Here be Dragons and DoD when it comes out next week lol. Would love to see something on Jess and Pavel was it? from NoT, you certainly hinted at the possibility.

I agree with Tracy too, average Joe sounds good or Vanguard.
How about having a story with one of the heroes being a person of color instead of a supporting role? It is always nice to identify with the characters in a book especially from a favorite author.

Everyone has such great suggestions. I love the shy sweet characters (E.g. Ray, Kael, Angel) that need that special person to show them their greatness. Any time, any genre.

The shifter stories, Allergies and UF have so much potential to continue. Ray’s brothers need their stories told, too. And UF was way too short!

Thanks, TA. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next!

I would like to see a nerd/geek get his tatooed biker guy with an american indian warrior attitude.

    I also agreed with Tracy.

    Hi there,
    I agree with Tracy.
I love your cowboys, infact I love all your books but ocasionally a simple love story with – as Tracy put it “a shy average joe finding his prince” is just what I love to read. Something like that would be awesome. Having said that i will read whatever you write.

Hi TA, I love the cowboys, the love of sports guys and the para’s, but what I’d love to read is the story of the contempory shy average joe who finds his prince. Thats my 2 cents :o)

I agree with JC, I love The Vanguard story. That was the first book of yours I read and got me hooked on your stuff.

As I recall, wasn’t there a younger brother that hadn’t been seen since childhood?

    Thanks, and Yummy eye candy!

Have you thought about going back to Vanguard story? I would love to see more of them, how they are doing. I go back to that story and read it again and again. It was a great story that had everything you could want.

  11. Rhonda says:

TA, you could also do something tied to the Allergies book.

TA, I hope I’m not too late to add my two cents. But… How about a prison romance? There could be suspence, denial, acceptance, redemption, love and especially romance. Something like man gets sent to prison for crime. He struggles to adjust. He meets another inmate. They become friends. They began to care for one another… One gets out and returns to his life refusing to acknowledge his love. The other eventually gets out as well and tracks him down. Then he has to woo (is that the right word?) him back. What do you think?

I don’t care anything you write is good and romantic and funny and keeps me begging for more so get with the posting on a story…hope that wasn’t too ballsy of me.

I still want to see the Bast story. I was out-voted on this twice before but I’m going to pitch it again.

  15. melanie says:

How about going back to the Death or Life universe, there was a couple there who needs a story!!!!

  16. Blaidd-Drwg says:

Well I love the suggestions given so far.

How about something historic? Maybe with a knight or a play on an Arthurian quest story?

Gah, wanna trade. We still have snow and Im rrunning out of warm sweaters.

    Mer,

Shifting Perspectives is an anthology at Aspen Mountain Press. I’m in it with Fiona Glass and Emily Veinglory. It’s about unusual shifters. Mine is titled Understanding Forgiveness and features Mason, who is a snow leopard shifter.

There might be something coming in the distant future between JL and me, but she’s so busy appeasing her rabid fans for more Wolf stories that she’s not able to take on any more projects, but we’ll keep you posted on that.

Maybe I could convince her to write a regular regency with me. 😉

  18. T.A.Chase says:

    Rhonda,

another cowboy story? I haven’t really written one lately, except for His Heart’s Home. Maybe I could do something that isn’t connected to either of my cowboy series…lol.

You’re welcome for the eye candy.

  19. T.A.Chase says:

    Firecat,

A regency sci-fi would be fun, but I don’t think I could write one. I’d be too intimidated because JL Langley writes them so well…lol. I’d be afraid of being compared to her. 🙂

  20. T.A.Chase says:

    Valerie,

I’m still not sure about Angel’s brother. He hasn’t told me one way or the other who he might be interested in, but I can say that he makes an appearance in the regency I’ve done some work on. He’s friends with one of the heroes. 🙂

  21. Anonymous says:

Hmmm… How did I miss Shifting Perspectives? I thought I knew all your work… What publisher is it from?
Love the idea of another Regency!!
Still think you should get together with J.L. on a Regency…
    Mer

  22. Rhonda says:

TA, I love your cowboy books. So something with them would be nice. Or a shifting story. I haven’t read the regency stories yet, but I’m sure I will love them too.

Thanks for the great eye candy!

  23. Firecat says:

I’m easy. 🙂 A regency would be nice, but then so would a space story . . .

How about a time shifting one so you could have it both regency and sci-fi?

  24. Valerie Oakley says:

If it’s going to be a Regency what about Angel’s brother? I got the impression, slight though it was, that he might also be gay.

  25. jodecarlson says:

Sounds like a plan 🙂 gracias, papi.

  26. T.A.Chase says:

    Jo and Mer,

hmmm, I’m getting the feeling that maybe it’s time for another regency. I’m not ready to write Shade’s story, but I do have one that has him playing a bigger role in it, so there is that possiblity…lol. Now I just have to write up a blurb for it.

  27. T.A.Chase says:

wow..Tam, a romantic futuristic crime fantasy? Nothing like mixing as many genres together as possible…lol.

I did write a sci-fi/futuristic story, Stealing Life. (And I guess you could say it was a fantasy as well…lol)

I saw Star Trek and I thought it was great. I loved McCoy and Scotty.

But something more Sci-fi than futuristic might be fun.

  28. T.A.Chase says:

You know what, Jambrea, I didn’t even think about Mason and Henrich, but that could be the couple I re-visit. In fact, I did write a scene or two about them already. It wouldn’t be hard to pick up where I left them. 🙂

Another regency, huh? Well, I do have one about half way done that takes place shortly after Angel’s story does and a certain Shade makes a cameo or two in it. Actually he plays a bigger part in this one than he did Angel’s story. 😉

A m/m/m…I haven’t really given a thought to writing another one. I read one last night that made me secretly hope one of the guys was killed or something (which wasn’t because he was a bad character or anything…I just didn’t want the main hero to end up with two men who didn’t love each other as well as him.) I guess a m/m/m would take a little more effort to think of a story for it.

  29. jodecarlson says:

yup, would love a regency – Shade’s story? thanks for the hunk of the day 🙂

    Jo

  30. Anonymous says:

I agree with Jambrea that another Regency story would be great! I loved BC! Another historical would be wonderful.
    Mer

  31. Tam says:

How about romantic futuristic crime fantasy. Oh wait, that’s just mean. 😀

Space? Have you ever done a space story? You don’t have to know anything, you can make up words and laws of physics to suit yourself. Yeah so I just watched Star Trek and have space on the brain.

I’m easy though. Anything will work for me.

  32. Jambrea says:

Happy Hump Day and thanks for the hunk! 🙂

    Hmmm…

You know what I’d like to see? It would be cool if you could use your characters from your story in Shifiting Perspectives, Understanding Forgiveness. I would really love to see more in that world.

Another regancy would be cool too. I loved Angel’s story.

Another m/m/m might be good too.

    Does that help? 😀
