The Prestige

Watched The Prestige last night. It was pretty good. Definitely different from the other magic movie that came out last year..The Illusionist. But that’s okay since Illusionist was more of a romance and this was what revenge costs to two men. Not really sure why Scarlet Johansson was in there for, except to add sex appeal for straight guys, I guess. Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale…can you say hot? It was an intriguing look at magicians.

On Wednesday night, I ended up writing 4100 words on Understanding Forgiveness, bringing my total close to 9k. I want to add about 3k more and I think it’ll be done by Sunday night. Then I can focus solely on Tony’s story to get that finished. 🙂 I also wrote the second chapter in the fantasy story that popped into my head the other night. But since I don’t have any plans on adding it to my schedule at the moment, it’ll slowly take shape when I have a little extra time.

I hope everyone has an awesome Friday. I’m looking forward to the weekend.

Heyya Ta – Darr was asking about the missing questions in the meme, so i made up some to fill in the holes. In case you’ve already copied existing questions here’s the fillers:

    4. Who would you let eat crackers in your bed?

    19. Who is your favorite visual artist?

    20. You’re stuck on an deserted island with two other people, who would you want to be stranded with?

    21. You’ve won a major award and have thanked your family, who else would you thank?

    39. You’re on a trip around the world and have to select five landmarks to visit, what would you pick?

I think all the anthologies will be great, Rhian. 🙂 Though I’m biases for mine.

I read J.L.’s book. It is really sweet which is why I liked it. It wasn’t the usual macho beating of breasts alpha male routine. The one hero was the alpha without having to be mean to prove it.

All the stuff I’ve heard about RT scares me…lol. Actually C and I are going out of town that week, so I wouldn’t be able to go anyway.

That’s going to be one hellava anthology – all great authors! BTW i just read J.L. Langley’s “With Love” and it was terrific and sweet… the latter you rarely see in werewolf stories.

Are you going to the RT convention I keep hearing about? I hear those things get pretty wild.

We own a ton of dvds, Yvonne. But we also rent alot of them as well. It’s something C and I both like and it gives us time to spend together. Snuggled on the couch. 🙂

I’m glad about the ice. Hopefully you won’t be getting anymore any time soon.

As for the anthology…for mine in particular, I believe Emily Veinglory, Sienna Black, L.M.Pietro (sp?) and me. There might be one more in there that I’ve missed. I’m part of a promoing group of m/m authors called ManLoveRomance. Aspen Mountain Press has been kind enough to let us put a gift basket on their table at the Romantic Times convention. So as a thank-you to them, we got together and decided to send them four anthologies w/ different authors in each one. There’s going to be Hustlers, Cops, Vamps and Weres(shifters) anthologies.

I don’t have a release date for them since we decided the stories didn’t need to be done until April. I don’t know the turn around time between us submitting them to when they’ll release them. As soon as I get that information, I’ll post it. 🙂

I really just wanted to get my story finished since it didn’t have to be that long and it’s another story I can cross off my schedule.

Good Morning TA-it’s sunny but windy here in MD but no ice for a change. Do you own all the movies you watch or rent them? It sounds like a major hobby for you.
Who are the other authors working on the anthology? and do you have a potential release date yet?
Enjoy the weekend! I’ll be teaching a knitted shawl class which should be fun.
