The Departed
I’m sure you’re wondering how do I manage to watch so many movies during the week…lol. I usually watch them while I write. I’m a great multi-tasker. 🙂
The Departed was a good movie. Had a great cast..though my favorite out of the bunch wasn’t in it much. Mark Walhberg. But still Matt Damon and Leonardo De Caprio were good. And it ended well, imo. The bad guy got his. Which makes me happy even though I understand about protraying real life and bad guys not always getting punished for what they do.
Finished up re-working Firebird (or Stealing Life as Lila spilled the beans yesterday about the new title) One of my beta readers made some good suggestions, so I worked them in to the story. They ended making it longer.

I loved the Departed. The ending was, well, shocking, didn’t see it coming, but the movie was great.

probably another 1k for the additions Lisa gave me, but there’s an additional 10-20k that hasn’t been posted on the blog. 🙂 Have to give you a reason to pick it up and read it again…lol.
I changed the name only to be more appealing to me. I know that whatever title I sent it with to LSB, they’d take it, but I liked Stealing Life better.
As to being a beta reader, actually I have two critque partners *waves to Lila and my other cp* I asked Lisa to read it since she nicely read AE even though she doesn’t generally read m/m stories. She liked AE, but it was too emotional for her…so I knew SL wouldn’t be. And there was a bunch more sex which is another she liked. lol
Good Morning TA- how much has been added by the additions? Did you change the name to make it more appealing to publishers?
But the big question is-how does one become a beta reader(and do they get to approve of the photos as well 😉
