Poetry Train…

Strong Arms…

Strong arms hold me close.
Strong arms push me away.
I wonder why I chose to stay.

Strong arms keep me safe.
Strong arms crush me tight.
I wonder why I chose to fight.

Strong arms give me help.
Strong arms cause me pain.
I wonder what I hope to gain.

Strong arms enfold me.
Strong arms swallow me.
I wonder what I hope to be.

Strong arms keep me free.
Strong arms tie me down.
I wonder how I hope to live.

I wish I could stop wondering…

It’s good to have you back TA. Haunting lines today that really hit me and brought back some memories of a past relationship.

Take care and have a great Monday.

    Thanks, Y.

I have to admit this poem was a little harder to write simply because I had a pattern in mind and then I had to fit the words into it…lol.

I’ve had that feeling myself more than once.

I really like this one. The last line is my favorite. I totally know that feeling.
