Poetry Train
Where Home Lies
I walk alone
Searching for a place
Wishing for a home
Safe and strong.
Winds beat me.
Suns burn me.
I’m looking for shelter
Cool and quiet.
With one touch,
You soothe me.
I see
The deep honest truth.
No matter the places
Our lives take us
You are
Where home lies.

I think its good to write touching stuff once in a while. Though I seem to write the dark stuff (poems) better and more often. 🙂
Really touching, TA. You do tender so very well.
SO nice, T.A.! Especially loved the final stanza:
“No matter the places
Our lives take us
You are
Where home lies.”
Can’t get to a more perfect place in life than that.
*sniff*smile* The deep honest truth, indeed!
Beautiful poem.
aawwwww
Thanks, everyone.
I think this is one of my favorite pictures. And the poem is one I’m going to use in my third Home book. As something Derek writes for Max. 😉
That is balm to the soul TA…thanks for such a bueatiful piece today.
Beautiful thoughts to start the day.
Sweet, and true.
