Another Coming Soon…

Amber Allure will be releasing Nick of Time on August 30th (or at least that’s the date they gave me, but as always, dates aren’t set in stone until the book comes out…lol) The print version will be out in September, I believe. šŸ™‚ So you will finally know what happened with Nick and Gryphon.

Still working on His Heart’s Home and those boys. I have edits to start on Death or Life. I’m hoping to get those done by this weekend.

I’m listening to Blue October’s newest album Approaching Normal…(came out yesterday and I had to get it.) I love their other cds. Such an unusual mix of music and the lead singer’s voice is amazing.

Well, I hope everyone has a great Hump day and stay dry.

Ghost of a Chance available

My St. Patrick’s Day ghost story, Ghost of a Chance, is available now from Loose-id. šŸ™‚ I thought I’d post another excerpt for you. (don’t worry Bitter Creek’s Redemption will be updated tomorrow..lol)

Blurb:

Padraig Monaghan has a problem. Most would consider dying in a bar fight ten years ago upsetting, and existing as a ghost wandering the world might be thought a real predicament. They might deem a second chance at life through a chance encounter with a dying man a serious dilemma. But for Padraig, finding himself face to face with the man he’d loved and lost a lifetime ago is the biggest thing on his mind.

Gareth Reilly stops at O’Toole’s for a drink before he heads home. Tomorrow’s going to be another lonely birthday for him until he’s approached by a stranger. There’s something about Padraig’s bright green eyes and Irish accent that reminds Gareth of a man he once knew. Unable to resist, Gareth breaks his cardinal rule and invites Padraig home.

On St. Patrick’s Day, when Irish magic is strongest, it’ll take a belief in the impossible and help from a grateful elf to give Padraig and Gareth another chance at love.

Publisher’s Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: Anal play/intercourse, male/male sexual practices, violence.

Excerpt:

A slow song filled the bar and a few couples floated onto the makeshift dance floor. Padraig stood, and holding out his hand to Gareth, he asked, ā€œWould you like to dance with me?ā€

Tilting his head, Gareth studied him for a moment or two before standing and taking his hand. A thrill raced from Padraig’s hand to his heart and groin. They wound their way through the tables to the dance floor. Padraig kept Gareth’s hand in his and wrapped his arm around Gareth’s waist, pulling him close. Not too close, though. He didn’t want Gareth feeling uncomfortable.

He needn’t have worried about that. Gareth played with the curls at the nape of Padraig’s neck and didn’t protest as Padraig tucked their hands to his chest. They moved in time with the music, slowly maneuvering around the floor. Padraig stroked his fingers along the small of Gareth’s back, relishing the way the slender man fit in his arms. With each turn, he eased Gareth closer to him until their bodies were pressed tighter than two sardines in a can. Gareth rested his cheek on Padraig’s chest and sighed.

Padraig slid his free hand down to cup Gareth’s ass and rubbed their erections together. Would Gareth moan as softly when he was being fucked or would he be loud? Padraig buried his face in Gareth’s strawberry blond curls, breathing in the familiar scent of Gareth’s soap. Surprising that Gareth still used the same stuff that Padraig remembered from the few times he’d gotten close enough to Gareth.

He ignored the end of the first song and kept his hold on Gareth while the next one started.

Gareth didn’t seem inclined to stop. Moving slightly, he nuzzled Gareth’s ear and nibbled along Gareth’s chin.

ā€œOh,ā€ Gareth breathed, letting his head fall back to give Padraig more access to his throat.

ā€œYou smell just like I remember,ā€ Padraig murmured.

ā€œWhat?ā€ Gareth tensed.

ā€œYou smell better than anyone I remember,ā€ he improvised, hoping he covered his tracks. He scraped his teeth over Gareth’s jugular, causing the man in his arms to shiver.

Finally it’s Friday…

Thank goodness the weekend’s finally here. This week started out crummy and has gotten a little better over the days. I’m feeling much better, but still I’m looking forward to sleeping in the next two days. šŸ™‚

Well, Tabloid Star has a September release date. I’ll give you the exact date as soon as I can. And it looks like Dreaming of Dragons will probably be out in May. Of course, neither of the dates are a hundred percent solid. Like everything else, it’s subject to change…lol.

Still that gives me six books out the first six months of this year. šŸ™‚ If I write quick enough, maybe I can fill in July and August, so there won’t be a gap between any books until we get into fall and winter.

If you remember, for one Poetry Train, I posted an excerpt from a story titled Nowhere Diner (which I’m thinking of changing to Cookie’s Diner…we’ll have to see). Little did I expect when I wrote that scene, that Tim, the character whose point-of-view we hear the story from, would not shut up. I’m 31k into his story now, and hoping that I’ll be much farther along by the end of the weekend. Keep your fingers crossed for me. (I know a lot of you are waiting for other books to get finished and come out, but I can only work on the stories that are flowing for me and this one happens to be it. But don’t worry, I’ll be getting back to those other stories soon enough.)

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Happy Friday

Sorry about not having a picture for you all to check out. šŸ™‚ Don’t have a lot of time. If you want to see some nice eye candy, stop by Wave’s blog today.

Just wanted to thank you all for making High Line #1 on Samhain’s Top Ten Bestsellers list for the second day in a row. Though Dana’s Very Much Alive is sitting at #2 and I think she’s looking to kick me out of the top spot.

Also, I wanted to let you know that Death or Life will be released by Liquid Silver sometime in June. I don’t have an exact date yet, but I asked for June and they were very willing to schedule it then.

I have more good news coming. Nothing’s been finalized yet, but as soon as it is, you’ll be the first to know.

Hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

High Line out today

Woo-hoo! Garrett’s story is finally out. Or will be out soon, I’m sure…lol. As soon as it’s up on the front page at Samhain, I’ll post the link. šŸ™‚

Here’s the blurb:

Will giving him the green flag lead to love…or heartache?

The Love of Sports Series, Book 2

CJ Lamont is at the top of the racing world but his winning record is based on a carefully constructed lie. His world falls apart when his ex-wife reveals the truth. As he hits rock bottom, rescue comes from an unexpected source—Garrett Johnson, Hollywood’s hottest leading man.

Garrett’s acting career is taking off, bringing him accolades he’d never imagined. Good friends and family keep his days hopping, but watching his twin brother fall in love exposes the emptiness in Garrett’s life created by the betrayal of his ex-lover.

Garrett offers CJ a place to heal and a shoulder to lean on, telling himself it’s only to keep CJ from taking a more destructive path. But as time passes, the two men grow closer and CJ realizes he has a decision to make—whether to rebuild his fictitious life, or admit to loving a man who shines brighter than the Hollywood stars.

Will he reach for the star or sink back into his old life?

Warning: This title contains hot man love, sticky situations with honey, fast cars and faster men.

Excerpt:

ā€œActually, how long are you staying in L.A.?ā€ Garrett led him back toward the room he’d woken up in.

ā€œDon’t know. I don’t really have anywhere to go.ā€

Pain trickled in his heart. His home in Charlotte was besieged by reporters. He’d run to the opposite coast, looking for somewhere he could hide.

ā€œWhy don’t I have my security guy, Quentin, go to your hotel, grab your stuff and you can stay here?ā€ Garrett stopped outside his room.

ā€œWhat about you?ā€ He opened the door, confused.

ā€œI’m leaving in a few days and won’t be around for a month or so.ā€

CJ forced his body to stay in place while Garrett reached out to cup his cheek. His lips were stroked by a rough thumb. He licked Garret’s skin, tasting salt and something spicy.

Garrett groaned and slid his hand into CJ’s hair, pulling him closer. CJ managed not to tense. God, he wanted to share another kiss with him.

Their lips brushed together with a gentleness he’d never imagined two men could feel. It seemed like Garrett was trying not to make him nervous. Nerves weren’t his problem. Garrett was the only man he’d ever kissed. Denying his urges made it hard to get any experience. He wrapped his arms around Garrett’s waist, leaning against the actor’s chest.

ā€œOpen for me,ā€ Garrett ordered softly.

CJ opened his lips, allowing Garrett’s tongue in. He shivered as Garrett teased the roof of his mouth. He moaned and rocked his erection against Garrett’s thigh.

He protested as Garrett eased away from him. ā€œPlease.ā€

ā€œGo to bed,ā€ Garrett murmured. ā€œIt’s late.ā€

ā€œWait. Why save my ass from that guy and put me up in your house?ā€ He didn’t understand why Garrett would choose to do something for a guy he’d met a year ago and never talked to since.

ā€œAside from it being one of the finest asses I’ve seen, I don’t know. Probably guilt more than anything else. Someone very close to me slid down the path you’re taking. By the time I noticed, it was too late. If I can help someone else, maybe it’ll atone for my negligence. Besides, remember what I told you the last time I saw you; if you needed anything, I would help you out. Well, I’m thinking you need a friend and I’m willing to be it.ā€ Garrett brushed a quick kiss over CJ’s cheek. ā€œGoodnight.ā€

Wave has given High Line 5 out of 5 stars already.

Also, Dana Marie Bell has a book releasing today along with me. šŸ™‚ Very Much Alive is a great story..imo. šŸ™‚ So check that one out when you stop by Samhain to pick up High Line. (Not a very subtle hint, huh?..lol)

And remember Bitter Creek’s Redemption’s next installment will be up tomorrow.

Have a great day.

Happy Friday the 13th

Do you believe in the bad luck and weird things that are supposed to happen on Friday the 13th? I’m not sure I do, but at times, it does seem like the really odd stuff happens on this day. šŸ™‚ Of course, I have a black cat cross my path tons of times when I’m at home and nothing bad has happened to me yet. šŸ˜‰

Happy Valentine’s Day as well. I hope it’s a wonderful day for everyone.

I also wanted to give everyone a heads-up. Next week, the Tuesday installment of Bitter Creek will be on Wednesday. High Line comes out next Tuesday and I’ll be posting an excerpt to entice you. lol…though I do hope you all were planning on picking it up at some point.

Have a great day, everyone. Stay safe and warm.

Finally Friday.

This weekend if you don’t have anything to do, stop by the Samhain Cafe and check out the first annual Sammie awards. It’ll be fun. There will be prizes and excerpts from all your favorite Samhain authors. šŸ™‚

I can tell you one piece of good news…lol. Samhain is putting the first two books in my Love of Sports series together in one print book. Out of Bounds has been out since last April and High Line comes out Feb. 17th. The print book will be titled Playing the Game and should have a new cover combining aspects of both stories. It’ll be out Winter of 2009. That’s as specific as I can get right now. As soon as I give more details I will.

Oh, I have a new interview out right now at Joyfully Reviewed. Check it out. I had a lot of fun doing it. šŸ™‚ I’m doing another interview with Wave in February (whose blog isn’t always safe for work..lol) and then in April, I’ll be at DIK with the ladies for a couple of days. So not only will you be getting a new book from me each month through May (at least), you’ll be getting interviews galore. šŸ™‚

Writing is going well. I’m still plugging away at Nick of Time, though I admit yesterday, I took a break from their story to work on a story that’s be haunting me for over a year or so. I don’t want to say much about it yet, since I just started it and probably won’t be working on it for long before Nick and Gryphon push those characters to the back of the line again..lol. But while they’re talking, I want to get their stories down. It’s going to be a very emotional and touching story (at least I hope it will be) and have a mixture of historical and contemporary elements.

Hey, have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend. šŸ™‚

New Cover and Guest Blogging

I got the cover for Allergies yesterday. šŸ™‚ This will be out April 5th at Amber Allure and then roughly two weeks later, it’ll be out in print. Woo-hoo! I got my first edits last night, so I’ll be doing those this weekend.

I’ve been working away on Nick of Time and His Heart’s Home, doing some writing on each story. Nick will be done first, more than likely, simply because I’m farther along on it at the moment.

I’m guest blogging over at the Erotic Muses again. I’m talking about Where the Devil Dances, my story in the Hearts Afire: January duet with Bonnie Dee. Stop by and say hi if you get a chance. šŸ™‚

Hope you all are warm and safe today. Have a great weekend.

Poetry Train #85

It comes out today. I’ll post the link as soon as it becomes available. šŸ™‚ I hope you enjoy both stories if you pick it up.

Woo-hoo! It’s live. Click here to check it out.

I thought I’d post an excerpt for you all to enjoy while you’re waiting for Hearts Afire to come out. šŸ™‚

Blurb:

Scars aren’t always on the outside. Architect Eric Sandel is living proof. He moves to Morley after surviving a terrible fire in order to rebuild his life and hopes designing the new Opera House will help him bury the past.

Firefighter David Browdie hasn’t had time for serious relationships, his ā€œon callā€ status tends to leave relationships in the dust. When he meets Eric at the neighborhood dog park, sparks fly and he thinks maybe this time, serious will win after all.

But a demon from Eric’s past haunts him. David and Eric must work together to find a way to stop the madman before they all go up in flames.

Warning: m/m love, dangerous obsessions and cute dogs.

Excerpt:

Eric’s pale cheeks flushed pink. The man was stunning. Unblemished skin covered high cheekbones and a thin nose. Plump lips begged for David’s kiss. Shy ice-blue eyes met his and a wry grin lifted those lips. Shoulder-length sable hair was pulled back to reveal a pink triangle earring.

David didn’t think about it, just stroked his fingers over the slope of Eric’s nose.

ā€œI’m my plastic surgeon’s masterpiece.ā€ Eric stepped back and gestured for him to come in.

ā€œThe man is a genius,ā€ David muttered as he entered the house.

Sadie skidded up to greet him. Kneeling, he scratched the dog’s ears and accepted her welcoming licks. He wrestled with her for a few minutes before giving Raoul some attention.

Standing up, his eyes met Eric’s and the happy light in them broke what little control he had over his body. Reaching out, he grasped Eric’s hips with a light touch. He had enough mental ability to remember Eric’s comments last night about being in pain from scars and touching.

ā€œI’m going to kiss you. If you don’t want that, you’d better stop me now,ā€ he warned Eric.

Eric’s pale blue eyes widened, but there wasn’t any movement to stop him. David leaned in, pressing his mouth to Eric’s enticing lips. A puff of hot air brushed over his lips when the younger man gasped. David nibbled along his plump bottom lip and teased his tongue over the sensitive roof of Eric’s mouth.

Eric’s hands fluttered by his shoulders before cradling the back of his head. David took the kiss a little deeper, still moving slow. For some reason he wasn’t willing to think about at the moment, he didn’t want to frighten Eric off. He didn’t want to move too fast either.

Keeping his hands on Eric’s hips, he trailed kisses along Eric’s high cheekbones and learned the curve of his jaw. The tip of his tongue became familiar with the soft spot right behind Eric’s ear that made the man shiver. He took a step closer, invading Eric’s personal space. They both groaned as their erections brushed.

David became lost in the scents and textures of Eric’s skin. He discovered where his limits were. Eric tensed each time he nuzzled the collar or touched the hem of the man’s long sleeved t-shirt. He wondered about the scars and how bad they really were for a brief second.

A heavy weight settled against his leg, threatening to tip him over. He steadied them and glanced down. Sadie stared up at him with innocent brown eyes. He couldn’t help but laugh.

Remember, I’ll post the live link as soon as they come out tonight. It’s usually around 6-7pm. So check back here or go hit refresh on the Liquid Silver site…lol.

Hope you all have a great Monday.

New Release

First off, for all of you who are stopping by to read the next installment of Nick of Time, I’ll be posting it tomorrow. I’m postponing it for one day to celebrate the release of my tenth book, Bound by Love, which is available at Samhain right now. šŸ™‚

Blurb:

Two cowboys fall in love. It’s as simple and as complicated as that.

Tyler Newsome is heading home to the Lazy N, tired of the rodeo and tired of always being his charismatic twin’s shadow. It’s time he gets a life of his own—and maybe the man he’s always dreamed of, too.

Ren Alston’s always been attracted to Tyler, but never made a move because of his own mental and emotional baggage. But after years spent taming his demons and gaining control in every aspect of his life, Ren sees the younger man’s return as a sign of good things to come.

But first, they have to deal with Tyler’s twin, past indiscretions and Ren’s brothers. Will these cowboys manage to build a strong foundation of trust and love? Or will their problems be too much for them?

Warning: Explicit manlove. Hot naked cowboys, caramel sauce, spanking, whipping and a new twist on the old fashioned roll in the hay.

Check it out. It’s got a little of everything in it…plus a little BDSM. Not a lot, but Ren just needs to be in control and Tyler likes giving up control. šŸ™‚

Also, I have another review up. This one by Jambrea who is my #1 Stalk…er…Fan…lol. Stop by here and hear what she has to say.

And Jambrea’s muse, Heather, interviewed my muse, Sam, and Ren (one of the main characters in Bound by Love), so if you want to see what my muse is like, stop by and read it here.

One last thing, I’m guest blogging over at Sloane Taylor’s blog today. She’s have a huge birthday party in the month of December with lots of guest authors and she’s giving away a free ebook every day to one lucky person who comments. I’m not sure when my post will go live, but I’ll post the link to her blog and you can check it out here.

Please check all those wonderful blogs out and let me know what you think. If you read Bound by Love, don’t hesitate to tell me what you think of it as well. I can take criticism…for the most part…lol

Have a great day and I promise the next installment will be up tomorrow. šŸ™‚
