A bust
which is what yesterday was for me writing wise. I had things to do in the morning and things to do in the evening. I had about two hours to myself in the middle and I didn’t get any writing done. Oh well. I have to work on the installment for the blog today, and do some other stuff as well. I’m hoping to get a lot done today, but we’ll have to see. Life has a way for throwing monkey wrenches into the best laid plans. 🙂

Good Weekend
Writing went well this weekend. Got more done than I thought I would, but I plan on really buckling down this week. I’d like to be 3/4ths of the way through War by the end of this week. That would awesome….lol. I’m close to being halfway done with it. We’ll see though. I know I want it to be at least 50k, but it might end up longer than that, which wouldn’t be all bad since it’ll definitely go into print format then. Yay!
Well, I better get started. I hope you all had a great weekend and have a marvelous Monday as well.
Didn’t work out.
By the time I had a moment to myself, I was so tired, I couldn’t even think straight. So I didn’t get a chance to get the next installment for Longest Stride done. But I’m working on it first thing this morning. You’ll have a new installment tomorrow for sure. 🙂

After the flood
Ugh! Last night during a torrential downpour, the window in our basement started leaking…like waterfall leaking. we’d just gotten the basement carpeted. So much fun. But we have people coming to dry the carpet, and fix the window so it never happens again.
I had to drive home in the dark during the rainstorm, which was so much fun. I hate driving at night to begin with. Add in raining so hard, I could barely see right in front of the car. It was great. 😀
Writing went okay yesterday, but I’m not sure how much I’ll get done today. I’m going to try and get the next installment for Longest Stride. Might not happen though. Got a ton of errands to run as well as deal with the basement issue. 🙁

Though I’ve gotten up a little later than I usually do, I think it’s going to be a good day. I’m going to be writing as much as possible and maybe even go for a walk at some point today.
War’s coming along nicely. I’ll admit I’m not as far along in the story as I’d like to be, but still I’m in no danger of missing my deadline.

Under My Bed cover…
Here’s the cover for my July 10th release, Under My Bed. 🙂 I thought I shared the blurb with you as well. I just want you to know this might not be the final blurb that goes up on the site. Someone at Amber Allure takes the blurb I send in and spiffs it up a bit, for which I’m eternally happy. Blurbs, along with synopsis, are one of my least favorite things to write. lol
Blurb:
I’m haunted by ghosts that live in a box under my bed. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get rid of them, even leaving the box behind when I left for college, yet somehow, it always returns to me. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if they just floated around and moved things, but they don’t. My ghosts drain me of energy any time they want, and they’re possessive of me.
On All Hallow’s Eve, Gautier appears on my front porch and he tells me he knows what’s happening to me. I’m not inclined to trust him, no matter how gorgeous he is. Yet after spending the night in his arms, I’m willing to take any help he can give me. I’m ready to live my life instead of being an energy supply to the ghosts.
Who knew love could give me courage?

All ready Wednesday. I tell you, the weeks are flying by in a blur at times. Crazy. I need it to slow down a little bit, so I can get my stories written…lol. Actually I’m doing pretty good with the writing and where I’m at word count wise. War is plodding along.

Another Idea…
I got another idea for a YA book, but I don’t have time to write it yet…lol. Figures, so I’m going to write up a synopsis and add it to my schedule. Maybe I can wiggle it in sooner than later. 🙂 It’s going to be a post-apocalypic story…sort of along the lines of Freaks in Love. Only Young Adult. I thought it might be neat to try and write a story set in that kind of world.
War is coming along. A little slower than I like, but I’m ahead of schedule, so it’s all good for now. 🙂

Going back to bed….
I’m up at the moment, getting ready to run a friend to work, but when I get home, I’m going back to bed. I know I warned everyone yesterday I probably wouldn’t have the next installment of The Longest Stride done for today and I was right.
It ended up being a very long night. Didn’t get to bed until 2 o’clock this morning. So needless to say, I’m beat and not happy I have to get up early…lol. But yep, heading back to bed for a little nap once I get back home.

Wicked Wednesday
Had a good day writing yesterday. Moving along on War….lol. Next in line on the schedule is Love’s Baggage, which will be Bandit’s story from the Preternatural series. Bandit has to take Alan and Roman, Alan’s brother, back where they came for some reason. (I haven’t come up with one yet, but it’ll be important.) So you won’t see much of the rest of the Canis family, Gryphon or Nick, but Bandit’s story will still be important to the overall plot.
Other than that, not much is going on. 🙂 The next installment of my blog story might be a day late. I’m busy today until late with other things, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to get the next bit written. I’m going to try, but I thought I’d give you fair warning. 🙂
