Firebird- Part Thirty-One

First, let me say thank-you for all the thoughts and prayers y’all sent my way. Things turned out fine for my friend..just needs to stay in the hospital for a few days. 🙂 But to catch up, I’ll be posting Firebird today and tomorrow.

Part Thirty-One:

The body beside Rue stiffened and he sat back a little to look up into Vlatko’s dark eyes. The other man stared down at him in confusion.

“You’re going to offer to sell the President’s Heart back to them at a substantial profit, huh?”

He could tell Vlatko didn’t know why he’d go back to the stone’s owners unless it was to make more money than he’d ever see in his life. He shook his head. “No. I don’t really need any more money. Hell, I’ve got more than enough to buy a small planet.”

“So if you aren’t selling it back to them, what are you doing? You know the I.U.M. will be waiting for you to leave this planet. They’ll try to take you and the stone.”

The concern in Vlatko’s voice warmed him. “I’m not worried about the I.U.M. If I can borrow your communicator, I’ll work out a diversion with Sysu and they’ll think I’ve already gotten off the planet.”

“If you don’t want the money, why are you doing this? Why risk everything by going there?”
Rue looked down, playing with the water as he mumbled, “I’m doing it for you.”

“For me?” Vlatko’s blunt finger slid under his chin and lifted it so their gazes could meet. “You’re risk getting caught by the I.U.M.? They’d throw you in prison or worse. You’d put your life in danger for a killer like me? Why? I’m not that good a fuck.”

Rue frowned. “It’s not about the sex. Though that’s been awesome. It has to do with the fact that when you look at me, you don’t see another pretty boy whose body you can use for a few credits. Or as an annoying thief you’d love to get rid of.” He cradled Vlatko’s face in his hands and smiled. “You see me with all my faults and lies. You’ve taken a look behind the walls and still like me. I don’t want to let you go.”

Vlatko kissed him. Their lips met in the sweetest kiss Rue had ever known. It was flavored with caring and tenderness along with some strange emotion he’d never felt before. The big man grasped his waist and pulled him until he straddled Vlatko’s thighs.

Vlatko rested his forehead against Rue’s. The thief saw happiness fill those dark eyes.

“I love you,” Vlatko whispered.

Out of Blogger

Hi everyone! TA will be out of town on family matters and won’t be back until Thursday. If you could keep his family in your prayers he’d greatly appreciate it!

Paige

Merry Christmas

and all the other holidays that you all might celebrate. I’m just taking a quiet and quick moment to check my email and stuff before the busy day starts.

Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone…and remember to stop by tomorrow for the next Firebird scene.

TGIF

I’m so glad the weekend is here…even if it’s going to be busier than heck with holiday stuff. I just want to sleep in one day. Which might be Sunday since I don’t have anything to do until later in the day. 🙂

Got a ton written on Firebird. Not only the next couple of blog posts, but additional stuff as well. Woo-hoo! I’m hoping I can take advantage of all the free time I have the next week or so to get it finished before the new year.

Got most of my Christmas shopping done. Making one last run tonight after work and then I’ll be done. Go me! lol

Well, I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Part Thirty-

The next day—

Vlatko stared at the computer screen. He was still reeling from admitting to Rue that he had wanted the thief to stay. Obviously the man’s blowjob had turned his brain to mush and switched off some vital connection between his thoughts and his tongue. The numbers in the formula blurred and he shook his head. Who would have known his life would take such a turn when he found a naked man tied to a tree two weeks ago.

Rue came up behind him, grasping his shoulders and massaging. A fluid warmth moved through Vlatko’s body. He’d noticed the heat the night before when Rue had touched him.

“Rue, what did the firebird say when you went to see her last night?” Vlatko let his head fall forward, allowing Rue to work his neck muscles.

“Something about my hands being good for you and my touch making you happy.” Rue’s lips brushed Vlatko’s nape.

He laughed. “She’s right. What else did she say?”

“You need to burn in the fire and raise from the ashes. It’s the only way you’ll be healed.” The thief’s hands tightened on his shoulders.

“I don’t think she meant literally. I’m pretty indestructible but I’m not fire-resistant.” Vlatko swiveled the chair, causing Rue to jump out of the way. “Let’s go soak in the hot springs.”

“Does heat help you?” Rue followed him up the ladder into the hut.

“Yeah, it does. I noticed your hands seem warmer than usual since last night. Did she touch you?” He stripped and set his clothes on a stone nearby.

“Took a hold of my hand and said that the truth of my past was gone, but I could chose the pay my future took by trusting my own decisions. While she was talking, it felt like my hand was on fire.”

Vlatko watched Rue shed his clothes and then he helped the naked man into the pool. He sat down on the carved stone ledge, settling Rue next to him.

“You’ve made a decision.” Vlatko couldn’t decide whether he was happy or not.

“Yes. I’ll have you know it was a difficult one. I’ve never done anything like this before.” Rue’s amber eyes were serious as he stared up at Vlatko.

“So you’re not going to give the stone to the I.U.M.?”

Rue shook his head, his blond curls bouncing as the steam tightened them. “That was never an option the minute you told me they were using me.”

“So what are you going to do? Sell the stone on the open market?” Vlatko leaned his head back and relaxed, letting the heat soak into his body.

“No, I’m going to Mitchov.”

Part Twenty-Nine:

Rue fought the need to tell Vlatko he wasn’t joking. He really did want the man to go with him, but he wasn’t going to beg. The decision had to be Vlatko’s. Rue knew there was no way he’d forget about the killer. His mission had gotten rearranged the moment the I.U.M. left him on this planet and he wasn’t going to complain about it. For the first time, he was important to someone as a person and not just a ‘fuck’ or a paycheck.

He licked his way up the throbbing vein on the underside of Vlatko’s cock. Swirling his tongue around the crown, he tasted the pre-cum leaking from the slit. One hand slid down to fondle Vlatko’s balls, squeezing gently. He wrapped his other hand at the base of Vlatko’s shaft and then sucked him down.

“Fuck.” Vlatko arched off the chair, thrusting deep into Rue’s mouth.

Rue relaxed his muscles and allowed the head hit the back of his throat. As he pulled off, he slid his hand up, giving Vlatko a blow job and a hand job at the same time. The rhythm he established included rolling Vlatko’s balls in his hand. He gave Vlatko just a light nibble at the crown, then went down on him again.

Vlatko’s hands threaded through his hair, holding him still as the man started fucking his mouth. Rue usually hated when his trick did that, but Vlatko wasn’t a trick. He was someone Rue was more than willing to give up control for. He let go of Vlatko’s body and braced himself against the chair, letting the big man use him as he wanted.

The thighs bracketing him tightened and he know Vlatko was close. Rue hummed and the vibration caused Vlatko to moan.

“Rue, I’m gonna…” Vlatko’s grip grew stronger.

He nodded, encouraging Vlatko to give him what he needed. Vlatko yelled and spurts of come flooded Rue’s mouth. The thief drank down Vlatko’s seed as if the bitter-saltiness was the finest wine. He swallowed until Vlatko relaxed back into the chair. Those big hands that had held him so tightly now stroked his hair with a light touch.

Rue licked the softening shaft clean and then rested his cheek against the man’s thigh. He looked up to see Vlatko smiling down at him. Rough calloused fingers traced over his eyebrows and down along the line of his jaw.

“I do believe you’re the best thing to fall from the sky in a long time.” Vlatko’s voice was low and satisfied.

“I didn’t fall. I was left here to seduce you into telling me all your secrets.” He tucked Vlatko’s cock back into his pants and zipped them up.

Vlatko lifted him into his lap and Rue curled up, wrapping his arms around the killer’s neck. He nuzzled close, laying his head on Vlatko’s chest, listening to the heartbeat.

“Are you needing?” Vlatko’s large hand cupped his cock.

Rue shook his head. “No, I came when you did.”

“Then you’ll want to clean up.” Vlatko surged to his feet, not even hesitating at Rue’s weight. “You have seduced me, thief. And all my secrets are yours.”

“Not all of them. I still don’t know where your files are.” Rue winked, trying to let Vlatko know that he wasn’t too worried about not finding them.

Vlatko stripped him and placed him in the shower. He leaned against the wall, watching Vlatko pull his own clothes off. The shower came on and Vlatko blocked the water from drowning Rue.

“The files are in my head.” Vlatko soaped up his hands and started massaging Rue’s chest.

“You memorized them?” Rue closed his eyes, moaning at the pleasure caused by those hands.

“Yes and no. I do know what they all say, but I had a small chip implanted at the base of my skull. It holds all the files.”

Rue’s eyes popped open. Vlatko was staring at the soap bubbles coating Rue’s skin. “So there was no way I would have ever found them. Why did you tell me I had three weeks to look for them if you knew I’d never discover where they were?”

Vlatko’s dark eyes met his and he saw the vulnerable need shining in them. “Because I wanted you to stay. “

Wonderful Monday

I know it’s not Christmas yet, but I’m posting this pic to get you curious. I’m blogging at SEx today and I’ve written a little scene to go with it. So stop over there and check it out. I’d love to hear your thoughts. 🙂

Also, just to remind you all if you stop by SiN, you can see a larger version of Angel’s cover and also I’ve posted a couple of excerpts over there. 🙂

Well, I hope you all have a great Monday and enjoy the picture. 😉

It’s Friday

I was so tempted to stay in bed and sleep away the morning. I went to a Christmas party last night and didn’t get in until really really late. No, I didn’t overindulge..lol. But dedicated worker that I am, here I sit on Friday morning, bleary eyed and wishing I could take a nap all ready…lol.

Started the fourth chapter in Dining With Alexander. (Don’t panic, Paige…I’m not going to get it done for a while.) I might have mentioned that my story and Paige’s will be together in a duet-style book and our stories are connected about best friends. One straight and the other gay. 🙂

Did a little work on all my Home stories and some more on my other two short stories as well. I’ll probably be focusing my attention on the one story that needs to be done by the end of January, but I’ll also be doing some work on Firebird to see where it’s going after the blog ending.

Hope you have a great Friday.

Firebird- Part Twenty-Eight

Part Twenty-Eight:

Vlatko lay on the bed after Rue left. He wasn’t tired. His body had gotten its quota of sleep for the week. He stared up at the ceiling and thought about all the work he’d done while living on this planet. Did he want to jeopardize all of it by leaving with Rue? But truly what would he lose? He was going to die anyway. What did it matter if he died alone on this primitive planet or went on the ride of his life with the thief?

He climbed out of bed and headed to his computers. He had another week before his deadline for Rue was up. Then the thief would have the option of calling the I.U.M. or leaving with the Mitchov gem and making a deal with some gem collector. Vlatko rubbed his finger over the President’s Heart that Rue had left sitting on Vlatko’s desk. An odd warmth traced up his arm and stopped at the spot where the firebird had burned him. Maybe he had an infection setting in, but that would be impossible. His genetic make-up wouldn’t allow him to get sick.

Shrugging the strange occurrence off, he booted up the computers and started working. Some where in the formula for the liquid body armor was the answer to his dilemma. He just wasn’t smart enough to understand the numbers and code. He needed the original scientist who created the armor. He often found himself wondering if the man knew what his creation would do to the men it was injected into. Or did the I.U.M. steal it from him to use for its own reasons without caring about the consequences? That scenario was the one he believed in.

Vlatko didn’t know how much time had gone by when he looked up to see Rue sitting on the couch, watching him. He gave the slender man a smile. Rue didn’t smile back. Those strange amber eyes studied him as if he were a fascinating bug Rue had found.

“Did you figure things out?” He wasn’t sure he wanted to hear that Rue would be leaving. He knew he was worried that the thief would decide to leave now instead of waiting for another week. He didn’t want to lose the man.

Vlatko wondered when he’d gone from not needing anyone to loving Rue and all in the space of two weeks. Was it the threat of dying that weakened the walls around his heart enough for this thief to sneak in and steal his love?

“Yes. I know what I have to do and I have to admit it’s not what I’d ever planned on doing.” Rue stood up and strolled towards Vlatko.

He watched as Rue knelt down between his legs and looked up at him. Rue’s eyes usually flared orange and red when the man was gripped by strong emotions. Vlatko knew this from all the times he’d watched Rue climax. But now they were a calm amber, gleaming with a certainty Vlatko had never had the pleasure of feeling himself.

Nimble fingers unbuttoned his pants and drew his cock out. He drew in a breath when Rue licked his tip, teasing the slit with his tongue. Vlatko reached out and brushed a shaking hand over Rue’s blond curls.

“Is this a good-bye present?” He didn’t know why he asked. It would be better not to know that Rue had made up his mind to leave.

The smile on Rue’s face was a mixture of sadness and happiness. “Not yet. I still have a week left.” He swallowed Vlatko down to the base of his shaft.

“Gods,” Vlatko groaned. “I’m going to miss this.”

Rue pulled off him with a pop. “Who says you have to give this up? You could go with me.”

Vlatko chuckled, but didn’t say anything.
